Okay, I've had this dream house for ages. Basically, it would be in the city somewhere or just somewhere busy.
It would have two stories. The top one is a house/apartment and the first story? A bookshop/cafe of course!
I would run the space and have my own bookshop basically. It doesn't really work with my plans for the future but whatever. It would need to be a bigish space and the exterior would have small plants around it and a very homey vibe. Red brick walls a beige roof and large windows at the bottom showcasing the shop and a few small ones at the top. There would also be a balcony so I could take a book and the top of the space would be flat for customers to take a book to the roof and read. It would be turfed and have a few nice chairs.
Okay, now the bit where I live and hopefully one other person. It would have two rooms, and two bathrooms and the kitchen, dining area and lounge would be connected in one space. I would also have a study to do work and stuff. There would also be a kitchen island and I don't care if it doesn't fit the house. I WILL HAVE A DISHWASHER!!!!! It would have a slightly modern but homey vibe to the house. Wooden floors and knowing myself there would be bookcases along some of the walls.
For the first floor it would have rows of bookcases with possible purchases and I would also run a system where you can resell your old books but whatever. There would be beanbags and seats scattered around the area for people to even bring a book and read. Then near the back, there would be a bit of a cafe where you can get a drink or cake/dessert to sit down and eat.
Yeah okay I think that's it? Oh, actually there would also be an elevator so people can get up easier as well as people in wheelchairs and such.
