When I was little, I always wanted to live in a lighthouse. I'm not sure what it was that appealed to me: the ocean against the walls, my idea of secret passageways, my own private space, or the fact that I would be far away from other people: safe.
I'm going to lean into the lighthouse I always wanted as a kid. Realistically, I probably wouldn't / couldn't live here. But for a dream home? I have actually, literately dreamed about living here.
MY DREAM HOME:
(bear in mind that I am aware that all this would not fit in a normal lighthouse. IMAGINATION.)
o is a chunky disused lighthouse
o has secret passageways, like:
A book in a bookshelf that you pull out to get to a ladder up to my bedroom
A trapdoor in a cupboard, with a fireman's pole to a floor below
A wall panel that slides aside to reveal a window seat
o has six floors:
ground floor: kitchen
first floor: lounge/ living room
second floor: bathroom + storage
third floor: small adorable library
fourth floor: my bedroom
fifth floor: lantern room - panoramic view

In the lantern room, most of the floor is covered with soft furnishings like pillows and blankets and plushies. Kind of like the that book that I will note here once I remember it's name. Dolphin Boy? Something like that.
My bedroom is small but cute. It has fairy lights, beanbags on the floor and there's a rope you can climb to get up to the lantern room. One side of the round wall is brick but there are some wooden bits (the interior wall). It has a super nice rustic feel while also having a telly on the wall (because who can live without Netflix).
The lounge is basically just a room with a sofa in it. It has a small table with drawers for board games for when I invite my family over.
Outside, there is a small amount of rocky, grassy space and a mini dock where a little boat is very securely tied up. That's it!
