An Unusual Amour - A Known Stranger

One day as I was so bored to stay at home after my household chores, I called Rihaan if he could take me out. But the answer was negative, as he never picked up my call. I usually never call him. Neither does he. I thought a phone call could change our life but no it could never change. I was afraid to stay inside my home as I was scared of my thoughts. So I decided to go shopping in a nearby supermarket. I locked all my doors as instructed by Rihaan. That was the instruction given to me when I first came to live in that flat. So I followed it.

I went to the elevator and waited it to open. And it opened with a lot of people. As I was in the ninth floor I found it hard to use the stairs. Also I was not in a good mood to take the pain of my legs. So I waited for the lift to reach the twelfth floor and return back. But still it was full of people. Suddenly I heard a thudding sound. I tried to look around but found nothing. Again I heard the sound and this time I realised that it was from my heart. It was the first time I had felt my heart beat. I expected my heart beats to race when I met Rihaan699Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡGCACOtMROe

for the first time. But it raced only now. It was as if a dead man became alive after a long time. I can't understand why it raced. It was racing way fast. I looked back to see if Rihaan was around. But he wasn't. Slowly people were decreasing in the elevator but the heart beat it still raced.

While I was lost in my thoughts I felt someone disturb me by tapping on my shoulder. It was none other but a random neighbour. She just questioned me about my whereabouts and my husband etc... I just answered to their usual questions though I was not interested. She got down in second floor. She also explained that she had been in her friends house in eleventh floor a while ago. I never asked anything about her or her whereabouts as she herself gave me every detail.

Finally I reached the ground floor and was ready to move to go shopping. As I came out of the elevator I Once again felt my heart beats racing. I felt my mobile vibrating, as I picked the mobile to answer the call, I dropped my mobile and it was stamped by some person by mistake. That made my heart beats stop and I became angry. I picked my mobile and was about to scold the person who stamped it. But the opposite happened. He started scolding me for being so careless. He was questioning me for day dreaming. I was really irritated by the way he asked me such questions . I was already worried about my mob but his scolding made me more sad and gloomy. After scolding me for about ten minutes he left the place.

I really regretted for coming out that day. That was the first time I got scolding from an unknown person for a mistake that was not mine. That made me more sad. I didn't go for shopping. I just sat on a chair in a nearby park and left to my apartment after sometime . I walked to the elevator and entered it. Thank God as there were no much people that time but there was him. My enemy, Mr.X who scolded me that day. I was just staying calm. I did not want to start a fight there. I kept quiet though there were multiple thoughts running in my mind at that moment. I was equally angry on Mr. X as he never knew what I was going through.

When I was about to open my flat door he blocked my way. My heart started beating faster, I didn't know what to do. I was just starting to reason if he was responsible for the racing of my heart beats inside the elevator. But I brushed away those thoughts and for the time being I wanted to get rid of him. I tried pushing him away. But he held my right hand with his right hand, that was the moment I looked into his eyes. His eyes were brownish with dark circles around the pupil. He eyes was twinkling like a star to me. I froze for a moment or two. And then I came back to life with the snap of his fingers. I asked him to move away, but he was just staring at me as if he was scanning my thoughts.

I struggled to release my hands from his when he asked me to stop struggling. I looked straight into his eyes which was trying to mesmerise me. I immediately looked down and asked him to move away. Finally he moved but he didn't release my hands. When I tried to release my hands, he came close to my ears, I can feel his breath on my ears and he whispered 'sorry' . I didn't know what to tell. I just stood numb.

He left the place in a quick pace. I opened my flat door and sat on the sofa and thought over what happened that day. I thought how my heart responded to a stranger in a very strange way. I tried to sense some meaning into what happened that day, which was really hard to find .

Late in the evening, My husband arrived and I was preparing dinner. I tried to forget about the stranger and told my husband about my broken mobile. I even explained that it broke because it slipped from my hand. I was expecting him to scold me. But He didn't scold me. He just asked me not to worry about it and asked me to give it to the mobile repair shop at the end of that street. I was surprised of his behaviour and I agreed to it.

I wanted to talk to him, about the stranger. But before I could open my mouth, he bid me good night. It was a bad night, cause I felt restless of the stranger. I even got nightmares because of him. I slept only at half past 6 in the morning.
