"Where are those blasted shoes? Blast and confound them!" Called out nerved a middle-aged man with short, straight dark hair. His pale green eyes wandering around; searching eagerly for something or rather his lost shoes. Throwing ruthlessly aside any obstacle that stood in his paths such as clothes, books, papers and more papers. Suddenly he froze as the violin was in his hands and placed it gently aside where it can not be damaged. Although showing affection for his violin, his expression remained nerved. His thick dark eyebrows were drawn down of anger. Once placing the violin gently aside, he continued ruthlessly as before.762Please respect copyright.PENANAeVf20nQrRP
Suddenly there was a cry of a woman.762Please respect copyright.PENANAnZn4wRQH3A
"Mrs Hudson! Could you please explain to me where my shoes could have been misplaced?" Questioned the man angered but composed. Knowing Mrs Hudson just entered the room.762Please respect copyright.PENANAu1iIrsUJXS
"Mr Holmes! What's the mat- What is all this?" Recalled Mrs Hudson as she saw the terrible mess on the entire floor of the room. The mess was so big that you could not see the carpets and barely make out where couch and table stood. Mrs Hudson began to feel faint but quickly pulled herself together with the help of anger that began to burn deep within her. She took a deep breath to keep herself composed, knowing Holmes would win another argument or ignore her. Quickly she collected few papers together. "What's the meaning of all this?"762Please respect copyright.PENANACMbnfl0pls
"Have you misplaced my shoes? The usual ones that I bought a few weeks ago." Repeated Holmes in the same tone as before without stop searching and turning to her.762Please respect copyright.PENANAtaLeFcvf98
"Not that I know Mr Holmes. It must have been you who misplaced them."
"As a matter of fact, I never misplace anything! Not ever!" Called Holmes; still searching and giving a snort. Mrs Hudson began to smirk to his remark.762Please respect copyright.PENANAPoCMsJRKc5
Suddenly the doorbell rang. Quickly Mrs Hudson left the room, headed downstairs to the main door and opened it.
"Hello, Mrs Hudson; is Holmes by chance here?" Spoke a middle-aged man with a bowler. He had grey-blue eyes, a golden-brown moustache upon his upper lip and straight, short golden-brown hair.762Please respect copyright.PENANAV1u5xRt2UN
"Hello, Dr Watson. Yes, if you can find him in the mess upstairs." Said Mrs Hudson merrily to see Watson.762Please respect copyright.PENANA9qtyCuEBTu
Watson chuckled while removing his bowler. "In his mess; he always was and still is the disorderly type with rooms. Yet astoundingly can keep a clear mind when he works on a case."
"Oh, you can say that again, Dr Watson." Chuckled Mrs Hudson as Watson went up the stairs.762Please respect copyright.PENANAT5G5n9HWev
As Watson entered the room, "Holmes! What in God's name is going on here?" Realizing that Mrs Hudson meant with 'in his mess' literally and mildly put.
"The shoes, Watson!" Shouted Holmes. "The shoes!"
"Which shoes?" Asked Watson while trying to find a way through and climb over the mess.762Please respect copyright.PENANAuW8ZAKQ7hG
"The shoes I had bought a few weeks ago! Confound them!" Snapped Holmes just as Watson finished his sentence.762Please respect copyright.PENANAYJaK6N29Ja
Watson looked around the room and then stared for a while at Holmes. Knowing Holmes never misplaces anything; especially what he bought himself. Is something bothering Holmes that have something to do with the shoes; the lost shoes? This is not the Holmes that Watson knew. Searching eagerly and angered for the shoes.
What do you think? Is something or someone distracting Holmes, or does he have just a bad day?
