A pair of majestic wings flapped frantically as the bird tried to alight on the branch. It landed two feet away from another bird, and the branch shook violently, threatening to throw both birds. The birds rode the rhythmic shaking of the branch, their heads swaying and bobbing.
When the shaking settled, the first bird looked at the second.
My branch. You could have landed elsewhere.
The tree is big enough for the both of us.
The first bird turned and took two steps away. The second followed.
The first turned around and raised its wings upward. The second followed.
