We all stared at Winter in amusement as she laid sprawled across the couch, completely unconscious as her mouth remained hung open.
"I think you wore her out, Alpha," Carmen stated in amusement.
"No, shit," Warren said, elbows on his knees.
I just smirked, lashes lowering as she remained unconscious.
"Her mom back yet?" Cathrine asked.
"Don't think so," I answered. "She's staying here tonight. It's not like she can walk home, she's dead right now."
Carmen just smiled softly. "You can carry her home."
"Yes, I can," I stated then, "but what's the fun in that?" I just gazed up. "I'd like it better if she's with me."
Warren watched me for a moment before his lashes lowered. "Alpha... are you still going through with it?"
I remained silent.
All three of them knew very well my plans with Winter; how when her side of the pact would be completed, I would kill her. It served no purpose keeping it a secret.
"You're getting attached to her," Warren continued. "That's not good." He then paused. "If you're still planning to kill her, that is."
I just sighed and set my cheek in my hand.
But the door suddenly burst open, making Cathrine scramble back as her siblings screamed.
I lightly caught a butterknife from the side table.
The man stormed into the room. "ALRIGHT, YOU FREAKS! I DESERVE THAT WISH! WHERE ARE YOU KEEPING THE BIT—"
I threw the knife backward, and it flung from my hand, piercing into the man's eye immediately.
As his body crumbled to the ground, I just smiled at Warren. "You were saying?"
They all stared at me in shock, blinking hazily.
"Dude..." Warren said then, "does that happen often?"
"Yup," I said then, picking up a fork and balancing it on my finger.
Cathrine just popped her gum, settling back in place. "Well... he is our alpha. We shouldn't really expect anything less of him."
"We should be going, anyway," Carmen stated, smiling a little as she stood up. "It's one in the morning, and we all know if Warren doesn't get his sleep, then he'll be out all day tomorrow."
He sent his sister a look, but she and Cathrine stood.
"Alright, whatever," Warren said then, sighing as he stood as well. He just smiled over at me. "Get the lady in bed, yeah? I don't think that position is comfortable."
I watched in amusement as they all left the room.
I looked back down at Winter when the front door closed behind them.
My lashes lowered.
I just stood and walked over to the dead body, kneeling beside it as his blood poured onto the floor from his punctured brain.
"If you don't mind, I need that back," I said then, tugging the knife out.
As blood splattered on me, I just stood, sighing as I gazed down at the knife covered in blood. "Look at this mess you worms make."
I looked back at Winter who still remained asleep on the couch.
Warren's words replayed in my head:
You're getting attached to her. That's not good.
If you're still planning on killing her, that is.
My lashes lowered when I stared at her peaceful state, and she just breathed gently... her stance so innocent a doctor couldn't tell she went insane.
I watched her for another long moment.
If you're still planning on killing her, that is.
I smiled then, eyes glowing a slight green as amusement filled me.
I just raised the knife.
Perhaps not.
I then ran my tongue along the blood-stained silver, letting the metal fill my senses as my eyes glowed brighter than they ever had.
I smirked then, loving the taste of death and how it coursed through my every being.
I don't want her dead. I want her to be mine. I want her.
So are you going to kill her? I asked myself.
She remained asleep on the couch in front of me, breaths softening.
My eyes glowed dangerously as I smirked.
"No," I said then, teeth showing through my grin, "I have other plans for you."
