The Journey
We arrive at our destination and get off the bus. Kyle decides to join me in my fight. He told me that Lucifer had killed his parents making him the king. We are both on a mission to take revenge on the demons leading to the leader, Lucifer. We had decided that the quickest way to get to the king of demons, was to continue killing the demons we come across and with a wolf at my side I will be able to know which ones are demons and which are not.
“Allissa, are you ready to go to the guild? It’s about a day and a half to get there if we take time to sleep.” Kyle says.
“Let’s go.” I respond.
We leave the comforts of the city, and head through some dark woods. I hear angle blood is a delicacy to some creatures. Mainly lesser demons, like vampires. They are common but only at night. During the day they cannot come out because they haven’t reached a higher level of demon. This is all the things I found out from Kyle. He’s done extensive research on demons and has told me many things that will help in my quest.
He takes my hand and pulls me towards him, wrapping his arms around me and smelling me. It sends chills down my spine but not in the way one would if it were a mate. He kisses the back of my neck in a way I never thought anyone would. Andrew never treated me like this. He nips me and starts sucking. I look back and his eyes have changed to black with lust. Oh my, he’s in a mood. I turn in his arms to face him.
“We can’t do it here. There are too many eyes on us. Let’s get into the woods. Then we will see what happens.”
He low growls causing wetness to my nether region. I never had this type of reaction to anyone, I mean Andrew and I had our moments, but they were nothing like this. I can’t imagine what it will be like with my mate. He kisses me swiftly and let's go walking in front of me.
He looks back, “Coming?”
I nod and follow him into the darkened woods just north of the city. We have our moment and continue on our journey. When it becomes too dark to travel, we find an open area and set up camp, meaning we start a fire and lay by it. He curls up next to me in his wolf form keeping me warm. He’s massive in his wolf form. He falls asleep with me petting his soft fur. Soon after, I too, fall asleep.

A sudden coolness wakes me up. I sit up and rub my eyes. I look at Kyle he’s putting out the fire coals. He smiles at me. I smile back and stretch, yawning before I stand up.
“Morning.” I say, stretching.
“Morning my angle lover. Wanna go another round?” Kyle asks.
“Already? We won’t get anything done at this rate.”
“I promise I won’t ask again until tonight.”
“You promise? That’s hard to believe. You are a hound.”
“What’s wrong with that? You were born of them.”
“Good point. Fine but then we have to go.”
We do our thing and pack up the bags. I’m doomed. We move swiftly killing stragglers here and there before we come across the guild. Demons flooded the place. Kyle and I, we make quick work of the low-level demons. Soon we are surrounded by mid-rank and high-rank demons. Kyle shifts into his smoky grey wolf. He’s huge. He barrels through them ripping their heads from their bodies and I take that as my queue to start dismembering their heads with my sword. One fluent stroke after the other and they drop to the ground twitching.
As we continue our massacre, the voice comes out of nowhere again.
“Well, well, well. You don’t take any time to adjust to what you are doing. No remorse. I like it. I can’t wait to meet you.” The voice echoes.
“LUCIFER! YOU ARE GONNA REGRET TAKING MY FAMILY FROM ME!” I shout out to the open room.
“Tsk, tsk. If only I had remorse… then you might actually be right, but that’s not engrained in me.” Lucifer speaks.
“Lucifer? How do you know its him?” Kyle asks.
“Oh, yes, the dog you’ve been sleeping with. How does it feel to betray the bond like that?” the voice asks.
“I will find you… and when I do, I will make you cry out in pain since I can’t kill you.” I say in the calmest voice I can muster.
“So violent, I’d love to stay and chat, but I have to warn the other guilds. The rampaging angel is on her way.” The voice perishes.
“How do you know its Lucifer?” Kyle repeats.
“He did say I’d know who it was the last time he randomly started talking to me. He will pay for what he did. My family was all I had. I had no friends, no relationships except for Andrew and that was only out of convenience. He wanted me so I gave it a shot, not much more than that.”
“Really? As good as you are with me, I never thought you’d only been in one relationship.”
“Moving on… we have to burn this place.” I let the rage within me seep out my hands and form a fire ball. Then cast it to the job board like last time.
“That’s hot. I like it.”
“You really are a hound.” I laugh.
“Well until my mate actually knows she’s mine, I can do as I please, and that includes you.” Kyle smirks.
“Let's call it for today. We will continue more tomorrow. I have to figure out where I need to go next.”
“I could always sniff them out.”
“I need to figure out what he meant by betraying the bond…”
“He probably means that we both have mates, but we are sleeping together rather than with our mates. I don’t know how he knows we aren’t mates though.”
“That’s what I need to figure out.”
“He is an angel too so maybe he has a gift like you.”
“I have several gifts. One is setting fire, another is visions, then healing, I heal really quickly.”
“So do I, but it’s a werewolf thing, and since you were born of wolves, I’m positive you have some additional gifts from us… aside from fast healing.”
“Let's get out of here before our exit gets covered in flames.”
He nods and we flee the scene. I had added another head to my collection. One day I will fight Lucifer, and I will win.

It's been about 6 months since I began my journey for revenge with Kyle, wolf king, and my birthday is today, I’m now 21 and he says he has a surprise for me. I’m excited to find out what kind of surprise it is, but he’s been gone since last night, and I have a sudden feeling of abandonment and sadness. What if he doesn’t come back to me? What if his surprise was leaving? Would he really do that to me? I think I’ve fallen for him…
“Hello, my lovely dark angel.” Kyle comes to me holding a piece of paper and an envelope.
“For me? Aww you shouldn’t have. What is it?” I ask reaching for the manilla envelope.
“Now, now, now. You don’t want to spoil the surprise. This is for later. We have a job to do first.”
“Already? We’ve already destroyed 20 plus guilds.” I sigh. “How close are we to the next one?”
“About half days walk from here.”
“A half day? Walking? No buses? In the darkened woods of Silverfox Forest? Sounds dangerous, I like it.”
“That’s why I love you.” The words roll off his tongue in the sexiest way I have ever heard.
“You… love me?” I ask as the shock settles in.
“We’ve been together for 6 months, anyone who spends all day every day together for 6 months is bound to fall for each other. You saying you don’t feel the same?”
“Not at all, I do. I love you too.” I say shyly.
He kisses my lips fervently, demanding my attention. I let him in and our tongues dance with one another, until he pulls away leaving me wanting more. I reach for the envelope one more time but he’s faster and yanks it from my grasp. I pout.
“Later.” He says sternly.
I sigh. “Fine, but it better be good.”
“Oh, I assure you that you will absolutely love this.” he shakes the envelope.
“Let’s get going then.”
“Sounds good.”
He takes the envelope and tucks it safely away in his go bag. We head to the next guild and once there take every demon life and the head of the leader. Then set fire to the guild hall. We set up camp and he pulls out the envelope. It's now dark and we need to get a fire going, which I take care of to make it quicker.
“Now, how bad do you want to know what’s in here?” he teases.
“Oh, come on… you know I have been dying to find out. Or rather killing to know.” I smirk.
“Well, my lovely little devil, it’s the location of where Lucifer was last seen and it's not far from here.”
“Really? Let me see!”
He finally hands me the envelope and I carefully open it and read the contents. He’s right he isn’t far. I grab my map and look at it in the light of the fire. He is a few days away. I study to find the quickest route.
“Looks like if we head through the mountains, he’s right in the middle of them. We can get there in five days, and hopefully he’s still there.”
“Well then, my dear, why don’t we get a good night’s rest and head out early tomorrow morning?”
“You know what would ensure a good night’s sleep?” I waltz over all sexy like and walk my fingers up his arm. “You. And. Me. Right here, right now.”
He has a cheesy grin on his face while we strip down and have our moment of bliss before we cuddle with one another and sleep.
