An hour later, I pull into a parking spot, Mia almost bouncing out of her seat when she realized where we were.
"Jay, I love you! Oh my god. I haven't been to Disney in so long!" Mia exclaims excitedly. "But I don't have my MagicBand. How am I supposed to get in?"
"I got it for you. Your dad gave it to me before we left."
"My parents knew about this? Oh I'm so going to kill them when we get back! I can't believe they didn't tell me." I start laughing as she says that. "What? What's so funny?"
"You're just too cute." I tell her, pinching one of her cheeks.
"I am not cute!" Mia says pouting.
"Right, you're so not cute." I laugh, rolling my eyes. "Alright, are you ready to spend the next three days at the happiest place on Earth?"
"Wait, the next three days?"
"Yeah. We're going to all four parks. I've planned for us to go to Downtown Disney today so we can just relax before the next three days."
"Seriously? You're kidding me right?"
"Nope. Now let's go check in so we can stop wasting daylight." I tell Mia, starting to walk towards the doors of the hotel.
"So our parents are really letting us stay here for three days?" Mia asks, catching up with me.
"Yeah. Honestly, I was surprised too when they said it was fine. But all I know is that Olivia's going to kill me when I get back." Mia laughs and pats me on the back.
"You should've brought her with us! I adore Olivia. But you are really gonna get it when you get home."
"Oh yeah, don't I know it." I reply, laughing as we walk into the hotel and head up to the concierge.
"How can I help you, sir?" The concierge asks.
"We're here to check in."
"Of course. What is the name the room is under?"
"Connors," I reply, looking down to see Mia texting her friend Natalie.
"Ah, yes, I have it right here. Room for two, two separate beds. Is that correct?"
"Yes sir." I answer, handing him my credit card.
"Oh, I don't need that. It says here it's all been paid for already."
"Really? Okay."
"Both of your MagicBands are already connected to your room. You will be staying in room 53. It also states here that you have reservations today at 7:30 for The Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney and for tomorrow at Chef Mickey's here in the hotel at 7:30 AM."
"That sounds right," I say.
"Alright, you're all good to go. I hope you have a great stay."
"Thank you," Mia says while I just nod.
I grab her hand and we make our way out of the hotel and to the car where I grab both of our suitcases.
"Let's go find room 53," I say before running back in with the suitcases, Mia following behind me laughing.
We reach the elevators and I look at the medal plate they have hanging beside each elevator to find which level our room is on.

"We'll be on level 3," I say right before the elevator opens up, letting us on. We move onto the elevator and I press the 3 button/.
When I arrive at the door I get my MagicBand out and hold it up to the Mickey Mouse on the side of the door. The Mouse turns green, indicating that the door has been unlocked. I turn the door handle before the green disappears and open the door to the two bedroom suite.
"Jay, our parents are paying for this for four nights?" Mia asks me, looking around the Suite astounded.
"Looks like it. I had no say in the room or anything, swear." I tell her. "I guess they just didn't want us staying in some shitty dump while we were here."
"Watch your language," Mia scolds, hitting me on the arm.
I wink at her playfully. "Yes, Mom."
"Shut it."
"Alright, alright. Let's go unpack so we can go to Downtown Disney and eat." I say already moving towards what looks like the bedroom.
"And shop!" Mia calls out before following me into the two bedded bedroom. I watch as she claims the bed closest to the balcony before going and opening up the doors.
"This is a really nice view," she states before shutting the doors and opening up her suitcase. I open mine as well and claim the first two drawers in the dresser, leaving Mia the bottom two. After about fifteen minutes we finish unpacking.
"Can we go now? I'm starving." I complain, laying flat on my bed.
"Yeah, I'm done. We can go."
"Finally!" I exclaim, hopping off the bed and running towards the door. "Let's go so we can catch the next bus there."
"Alright, I'm coming!" Mia yells from the room.
A minute later we're outside of our room and walking towards the elevators. I press the down button. Once we're inside I press the Lobby button and the doors shut. Once we reach the Lobby, I grab Mia's hand and race both of us to where the buses are.
Thankfully, with the great luck we have, a bus to Downtown Disney had just arrived. We climb on and take our sweats. Five minutes later the doors to the bus shut and we were on our way to Downtown Disney.
. . .
By the time we reach Downtown Disney it was already 6:30, giving us an hour to shop and look around. We made it through five stores before we had to make our way through the crowds to get to The Rainforest Cafe. When we got there it was 7:30, the time our reservation was at. I walked up to the lady standing behind the fake purple elephant and told her that we had a reservation for two.
"Last name?" She asks, tapping something on the computer that's also behind the fake purple elephant.
"Connors," I reply.
"Yes, I have it right here. You can stand on the Gorilla feet or look around the shop and you should be called in a few minutes."
"Thank you," Mia says before we walk in.
"Do you want to stand and wait or go look around for a bit?" I ask her.
"I have a feeling we'll be called shortly. Let's stand and wait, we can look around after we're done eating." I nod in response and we move towards the Gorilla feet.
"Connors? Table for two." A voice calls out a minute or two later.
"Here," I say before moving to the front of the line with Mia right behind me.
"Right this way," the guy says. Once we make it to our table he places a menu in front of both of us. "Your server should be right over. Have a great rest of your night."
"Thanks," Mia says, opening up her menu.
I open up mine and look for the drinks first. I find them on the back of the menu and look for what I want.
"What're you getting to drink?" I ask Mia.
"My usual," she says and I nod. "You?"
"Same." She smiles at me and shakes her head.
"Always the same, we are."
"You got that right."
A waitress stops in front of our table.
"Hi, I'm Sarah and I'll be your server for today. Can I start you two off with something to drink?" She asks.
"Two lemonades, please." I answer, looking over to Mia only to find her trying not to laugh. We've ordered the same exact drink since first grade. Always lemonade, whether it be pink or the old fashioned yellow.
"Are you ready to order or do you still need some time to look over the menu?" Sarah asks after writing down our drink orders.
"I think we're ready," Mia says looking over to me for conformation. I nod and motion for her to start.
"I'd like a Rainforest Burger."
"Alright. And you get a side with your burger." She says while writing it down.
"Safari Fries, please." Mia says before closing her menu. The waitress nods and writes that down.
"And for you?" She asks, turning to me.
"I'd like The Beastly Burger with a side of Safari Sides." I say, shutting my menu and taking Mia's as well. After Sarah writes down my order I hand her the two menus.
"I'll be right back out with your drinks. Your food should be done about twenty minutes after I return." She says, collecting the menus and walking away.
Once she's gone I receive a text message from my mom.
"Well, it looks like we'll be having a little princess joining us tonight at the hotel and for tomorrow when we go to Magic Kingdom." I say after reading the message.
"Olivia found out where you were, didn't she." Mia said laughing.
"Yup."
"Good, I've always loved her. It'll be fun going to Magic Kingdom tomorrow with her. Probably more fun then we would've had together."
"I am extremely offended by what you just said. Do you doubt my fun skills?" I ask her.
"Yes, I do. Very badly might I add."
"Well then, I'll just have to show you how fun I really am."
"Go ahead, I'm sure I won't be impressed." Mia says laughing.
Our food arrives after that. We eat a little faster than we normally would since Olivia would be arriving at our hotel soon. After we're done I pay and we rush out, only having ten minutes to get there before Olivia was dropped off.
We got on a bus that was heading to our hotel and soon enough we were outside waiting for my mom to drop off Olivia. When she got there Olivia hopped out of the car and ran to where Mia was standing, jumping on top of her.
"Mia!" Olivia yelled, hugging the older girl tightly.
"Hey Liv! Are you ready to have fun tomorrow with me and Jay?" Mia asks, twirling her around.
"Yeah! We're going to see all of the characters!" Olivia says, emphasizing the word all.
"Of course we are!" Mia says. She motions to me that she's going to take Olivia up to the room and I send her a nod.
. . .
Thirty minutes later we're all dressed for bed. Mia was in her bed with Liv.
I reached over to turn off the light.
"Night, guys."
"Night, Jay." They both reply.
I shut off the light and turn over in the bed, falling asleep quickly.
