Jade looked to the maid who bowed her head after admitting that she had a hand in the set up that night “Hey, I am not going to be mad at you but can you please tell me what happened?” she asked starting to feel her heart starting to race knowing that this is going to be the first piece to the puzzle. The maid looked up to Jade and wiped her eyes from the tears “It all happened so fast but I remember one of the ladies, I knew it had to be one of the ones in the running for the Prince as of course you were the only ladies staying here during that time. She approached me but I didn’t get a good look because she was wearing a scarf around her head and neck with sunglasses on. She told me that she wanted to play a little prank on her friends. She gave me this speech that she wanted to play cupid because two of her friends were in love with each other but didn’t know how to push things in the right way. She instructed me that I was to deliver this love letter to Tariq and inform him that his room had been changed…to yours” and the maid started to look down to the floor in the room. “It seemed so harmless and I thought that maybe it was something cute, and knowing that I could get fired if I didn’t do it I went along with it. I delivered the letter and told him that his love would be waiting in room 4. I didn’t realize this is what was really happening” and as she started to let the tears go she started to apologize and hiding her face in her hands. Jade felt her heart breaking for the girl knowing that she was just doing as she was told and she had no idea what was going to happen.
Jade started to run her hand on the girls back “Hey it’s alright. You were just doing your job. You had no idea what was going to come from it” and as she looked to the maid she said “Thank you for telling me I appreciate it so much you have no idea” and as she smiled to her she started to know that she had to tell someone soon. The maid looked to her and said “I am so sorry that I had a hand in hurting you, and I am sorry that I didn’t say something sooner to you. I was just thinking that it was harmless fun. I have to run but please let me know if there is any way that I can help you out while you are here. You didn’t deserve this at all” and as Jade said goodbye to her she know that this was going to be the first step in clearing her name but as she looked around the room she felt the shiver return to her body as that night started to replay in her mind. Though as she shook her head she texted Maxwell to get Bertrand and meet in her room.
Not even ten minutes later there was a knock on her door and knowing that she double locked it, she headed over to the door and opening it to find Maxwell with Bertrand. “Maxwell said that it was an emergency and it better be good I was just getting ready to get some rest for the night” and as Bertrand stood there Jade shook her head “Well I do apologize Bertrand but I just found out from the maid that one of the ladies asked her to deliver a message to Tariq, one that his room changed and two to deliver a love letter…from me” and as she looked to Bertrand she could see the anger hitting his eyes “Who was it? Did she get a look at her? I mean there were only six ladies here and I know you wouldn’t do this to yourself unless I am mistaken” and as he looked at her raising an eyebrow she snapped at him “Oh damn Bertrand you figured me out. I set myself up to be humiliated in front of everyone including Liam and Drake, I feel so bad for it” as the anger radiated out of her. Bertrand shocked at her outburst took a step back “Lady Jade I apologize I just, I want to figure out what happened. I hope that you can forgive me” and as he looked to her and she could see that he was sorry she just nodded her head. Maxwell stepped to her “At least we have an idea going into tomorrow, it’s going to be interesting but you could use tomorrow to try and scope out and maybe talk to a few of the ladies and see if they get nervous around you” and as they continued to talk about what to expect and they explained that they were going to be doing a barn raising to celebrate the beginning of the journey for Liam and Madeleine Jade was not too happy that she would have to take part but knowing that she had to in order to be there and figure everything out. “My suggestion is to dress down tomorrow, and use this time to show that you are not letting the bad press get to you. Any questions I will take care of ahead of time. Tomorrow is yours to shine even if you will be getting dirty. Get some rest we will meet sometime tomorrow. Maxwell and I will take part in the barn raising but also be investigating” and as Bertrand left Maxwell stayed back for a few moments to make sure that she was going to be alright.
“You know if you need me to stay in here tonight I can. I know that it can’t be easy to be back here after what happened” and as he started to walk to the edge of the bed to sit down with her he put his arm around her and pulled her to him “Don’t worry Jade I know that we are going to get to the bottom of this, you are going to be great tomorrow and everything is going to be right again soon” and as he smiled to her she smiled back to him “I just don’t know how much longer I am going to be able to stomach seeing her with him when I know she doesn’t love him…she loves the crown” and as she cuddled up next to Maxwell for a little bit she soon told him that she would be alright and that she would talk to him tomorrow. She walked him to the door and immediately locked the door again and headed to the bathroom to change into her pajamas and as she came out she was hit with a brick of déjà vu and as she shook her head telling her that it was just in her mind about what happened, she walked back over to the bed and got into it right away. Though as she laid there even with her nightstand light on she couldn’t stop her mind from wondering to that night and as she tossed and turned she knew that it was going to be pointless. She reached for her phone and started to scroll through her contacts: Bertrand, Drake, Hana, Maxwell, Mom and as she saw her mom’s number she wished so badly that she could call but knowing that she couldn’t she scrolled back up and hit Drake’s number and text him ‘Hey can’t sleep, would you mind if we talked’ and as she looked to her phone and saw it go to “Read” instantly he didn’t even text back but soon her phone vibrated with a video call and she smiled as she answered starting to sit up in bed “Hey there” she said as she saw him come onto the screen and her heart almost stopped as he was looking right back at her with a black beater on and he looked like he had just ran a mile “Hey can’t sleep huh” and as she nodded she asked “What are you doing? You look like you just ran a marathon” and as she laughed he smiled instantly on the camera and as he looked right to her he mentioned that he did just do two laps around the manor. Though as Jade heard him say manor she raised an eyebrow “Well you know that I could just come up to your room and talk” and as Jade let her jaw drop a little bit in surprise she asked “So you are here? Wait, why are you here early?” and as she started to smile feeling the heat on her cheeks he explained that he wanted to beat the rush and beat the press so he left shortly after they had.
Not even a few moments later there was a knock on her door and as she looked to the video he said “You going to let me in?” and as he gave her that amazing smile she got out of bed and headed right to the door hanging up the phone and unlocking the door and opening it just a little bit “What’s the password?” she giggled a little bit as she saw now that he was in the beater and sweats and as her body shivered, in a good way she started to smile to him. “Really Jade…a password?” and as he laughed a little bit he said “Please” and she shook her head “What about may I come in?” and she shook her head laughing and as he leaned his head looking at her through the crack of the door he said “Hmm what about Jade is going to miss out on being in these arms if she continues to play this guessing game” and as she heard him she looked at him with her mouth open a little bit she said “You wouldn’t dare threaten me with that” and as he pushed on the door a little bit causing her to open it he said “You sure about that” and as he asked her he started to turn around to walk away but she reached out grabbing his arm and turning him back to her as the both laughed and he leaned in resting his forehead to hers. “Damnit Morgan, I can’t say no to you” and as he started to hug her to him he soon started to walk her back into the bedroom kicking the door shut, reaching back and locking both sets of locks.
They both walked over to the bed and as Jade went to get into the bed on the side closest to the door Drake stopped her and started to bring her back to him “No. You belong on that side” and as she looked to him he said “The man should always sleep closest to the door as protection” and as Jade looked to him she smiled leaning up to him and kissing his cheek. She had never had someone that would do that for her or even share that with her but much less insist on it being like that. “Well look at you being all super hero” she laughed a little bit starting to look at him and as he just shook his head he exclaimed “Just how I was raised” and as he walked her over to the other side of the bed and helped her get in and tucked in he then went to the other side and started to get in the bed as well. Soon they were both sitting up in the bed leaning against the head board and talking. Talking about everything from family to friends to trips and growing up they stayed up for another few hours not even realizing that time that had now flown by and as they started to settle in a little bit more Jade started to slide down the bed and Drake followed though right before he laid down he pulled his shirt off leaving him in just his sweats. Jade started to feel her heart beating so fast being this close to him again and as she realized that she was in her short pajama outfit that was booty shorts basically and a tank top she felt her cheeks redden a little bit as she apologized “Don’t worry about it…I already saw you in less remember” and as he smirked to her she playfully punched his shoulder.
“Drake what do you think we would be doing right now had you just stayed in New York the first time” and as she asked him she started to cuddle up to him starting to get under his arm and resting her head on his shoulder, starting to draw little swirls on his chest and his abdomen. “Well I know that if I would have stayed, it would have been really different, we…we would probably be living together by now, or at least still…you know dating. I wouldn’t have to be worrying about hurting my best friend. You…you wouldn’t be in this mess” and as he looked sadly to her he started to think about how if he would have just stayed how different things would be. Jade started to think to herself how it would have been amazing but then she never would have traveled, never would have met Hana, Liam or anyone and she started to think about how her mom would always tell her ‘Sometimes we don’t know why things in our lives happen. The best thing that we can do is take it with what we have and make the best of it or learn from it’ and as she remembered those words she looked to Drake as he was now looking down to her again and she leaned up pressing her lips to his in a sweet gentle kiss. Though soon there was a fire that was racing through her a want a desire that she couldn’t fight as she started to feel him lean in to her. Knowing in her heart that he holds so much of it, she knew that she didn’t want this moment with him to go to waste.
Drake began to lean over her as she wrapped her arms around him to bring him closer to her as he settled between her legs she hooked her right leg up and over his hip holding him to her as their kisses grew in intensity and passion. Over the next few hours after Jade finally did doze off Drake ended up leaving her room and locking the bottom lock before he left. Though the next morning she was up and ready to go before Maxwell even came to get her. She had been tossing and turning since Drake had left her room. She sat there thinking about the words that he had said to her when he thought that she had been asleep and she remembered everything that happened between them during the social season and she had known who she was going to choose that night before she was forced to leave. Though now with the investigation and everything else going on right now she knew that she couldn’t let her heart cloud her mind. She loved the moments that she had with Drake and last night had only cemented her feelings for him knowing that she had never ever done something like that before with someone and as she remembered the way that he was holding her and the way that his body felt against hers she started to close her eyes thinking about it even more though as she just got to the good parts of last night there was a knock on her door. It only took her one guess to know that it was Maxwell and sure enough as she opened the door he started to see how she was and then leading her down to the boutique knowing that today she was to “Dress for labor but style” and as they walked down Jade couldn’t help but think about the night before.
As Maxwell took her to the boutique and left her shortly after she walked around looking at the outfits and as she scanned the clothing options that were available she soon brought a few items together making the perfect outfit for the day. She pulled out a pair of blue shorts that had little wear and tear spots over the material, a white tank top and a red plaid shirt, mixing in a pair of women’s work shoes that were just the right style to get the job done. She tied up the plaid shirt and started to pull her hair up into a ponytail letting her natural curl take over in the long strands of hair. As she looked over herself once again she started to close her eyes she started to think about Drake again though as she closed them a little bit tighter she soon saw Liam’s face as if he was standing behind her. She opened her eyes and shook her head knowing that she had to keep her head in the game. She was going to be around Liam and Madeleine soon and she knew that she had to be focused.
As she walked out of the boutique she almost ran right into Maxwell “Wow you…you look great! The outfit is going to be amazing. I believe that you are going to rock today” and as he smiled to her and she gave a little smile back to him he could tell that something was off as he stopped her mid walk as he looked to her “Hey is everything alright?” and as he looked to her she nodded “Yeah just a little tired and you know trying to find out who framed me and still keep my head in the game” and as she chuckled a little bit, Maxwell looked to her “Speaking of tired, I just have to ask. I saw Drake leaving your room last night, did you?” and as Jade instantly felt nervous she shook her head and said “No, we didn’t do what you are thinking, we just sat around talking for a little while and he did stay a while knowing that it was the same room that you know what happened in” and as she looked to him she smiled and then looked down. “Jade, I can tell there is something going on in your mind and I just…I want you to know that you can trust me. I know that during the last season you were torn and I know that you never got to make up your mind completely. But you can talk to me about it, I am not going to be one to rat you out or to judge you” and as he started to smile to her she leaned in hugging him “Thank you Maxwell you have no idea how much that means to me” and as she pulled away smiling to him he started to lead her out to the limo to head to where everyone else was getting ready.
As they headed out Ana De Luca from Trend immediately started to comment that the “Disgraced Lady Jade is actually here” and as she went to begin to ask questions Maxwell tried to help but it wasn’t until a gentleman walked right in front of Jade and said “Okay everyone back it up. You will be able to ask Lady Jade questions soon but right now she is almost running late to attend the barn raising for our King and his fiancé. Please do excuse us for the time being” and as this guy started to lead Jade over to the limo she leaned to him “Um who are you?” she asked being curious and as he smiled to her he stated “I am your new best friend. I will explain in the limo” and as they all started to pile into the limo and as the door shut Jade looked immediately to the guy and Maxwell said “Meet Justin, he is going to be your new communications agent, he is going to help you” and as he smiled to Jade she felt a little uneasy at the way that Justin was smiling to her. “I am here to help your image and get you back on top. Now I know right now it seems like that may not be happening but I bet with my help I can get you there” and as he smiled he extended a hand and Jade shook it though in her mind something told her that this could be a good thing or a bad thing. As they rode in the limo heading to the barn Justin explained about how the press will want that top story but it would be best not to give into what they want and that they will see her as the perfect angel that fell in love with Cordonia and stands with them even as the King marries someone else and as Jade cringed at the thought, she also agreed and they pulled up to the location Justin wished her luck and she knew that she needed it.
Jade stepped out of the limo and immediately Donnie Brine from CBC was right in front of her “Lady Jade, please can we get a statement? What are you doing back here? What are your intentions now that King Liam is to marry Countess Madeleine? Can you tell us what is going on with you and Tariq?” and as Jade tensed up for a moment thinking about the blast of questions she looked back to Justin who nodded his head “I spent last season falling for Cordonia. This country has become my home in just a little bit of time. Almost losing that was really hard. I am so grateful for the Beaumont’s, my friends that have supported me as well as our King Liam. I wish him and Madeleine nothing but the best in the future. Thank you” and as she started to walk away she could feel her heart starting to race knowing that the mention of Liam and Madeleine made her feel sick she knew she had to hide it. Though as she started to walk with Justin and Maxwell they did hear Bertrand commenting to Donnie about the rumors “They are just that, rumors, a vile and disgusting tale if you ask me” and as he then started to walk away Jade smiled back to him thankful that he stood up for her. Though as she started to walk a little bit she could hear Liam and Madeleine being interviewed and she heard Madeleine call Liam “my Liam” and it sent a bolt through her in a little bit of an anger mood. Taking a deep breathe she looked over and saw that Liam did not looked pleased as he was barely even looking up to the reporters.
Jade began to walk with the guys towards the barn raising and as they approached they soon found Drake and Hana trying to work a pulley with a few heavy looking boards on it. Jade looked right to Drake and instantly froze, there he stood the afternoon sun radiating off his bare skin, the beads of sweat just trailing down his skin over his chest and his back, and the way that his muscles were contracting as he was pulling with Hana, Jade felt her jaw drop open a little bit but as she looked and saw Hana look up she closed her mouth instantly “Jade!” she said dropping the rope to the pulley causing Drake to stumble a little bit as she ran to Jade hugging her immediately and then to Maxwell right away after. It wasn’t until then that Hana gasped and looked to Drake “I am so sorry I didn’t mean too I was just excited to see Ma…our friends” and as she blushed Jade smiled and laughed a little bit trying not to stare as Drake walked over towards them. Jade cleared her throat as Drake came closer and she could now really see the beads on his body as she said “Well…we… we are ready to work” and as Drake took another step towards her his eyes scanned her over taking in the sight of her and her outfit “Yeah you are…you look really, really good” and as she looked to him and caught his eyes he then caught what he said and stuttered “Really good and ready to work is what I am meaning” though he knows that he means something more. Jade couldn’t take her eyes off him as she stated the obvious “You’re not wearing a shirt Drake” and as she looked to his eyes he said “Well I do have to keep cool some way I mean this is going to be tough” and as Jade found his eyes again and Maxwell was talking to Hana Jade leaned a little bit to him and said “Still no shirt, how do you expect me to actually work” and as Drake leaned to her a little bit more she could see the flex in his chest and in his arms “Well you might need to just wait and see how well you do cause if you can’t work well they might send you home, and you would lose the chance of seeing all this” and as he snickered a little bit he reached out taking her hand and bringing it to his abdomen and with no one else looking or even paying attention he placed her hand on his abs and she gasped “So ready to get to work and focus” and as he smirked to her she pressed her nails into his skin “Only if you are ready to work” and as he smiled to her and looked up and down her again he started to turn away getting the pulley ready again.
As Jade tried to contain her thoughts of the night before and knowing how close that her body and his body were together and then today seeing him like this she is starting to try and clear her head as she soon joined Hana, Maxwell, and Drake to lift and they did accomplish it and carried it all the way up to the second floor almost perfectly. As they got to the top of the landing and to the side where they were told to put the pieces Hana snapped a group photo of all of them together and then her and Maxwell ended up heading out leaving Jade to lend Drake a hand. Once she realized that they were gone Jade brought her hand up and playfully shoved him “You know that’s not fair” and as Drake barely stumbled he looked to her questioningly “What are you talking about Morgan” and as she looked to him she said “You being all shirtless…I am finding it rather difficult to actually focus, and it’s not fair” and as she looked to him he smirked to her starting to walk towards her and soon starting to stand right there in front of her though as he took one more step and she took one back soon her back was pressed against the part of the barn that was done and closed off.
Jade took another step back and realized that she was trapped between him and the wall and as her breathing started to increase and her heart was beating so fast as she looked him up and down her mind racing a mile a minute thinking about last night and how when he was this close and she could feel her body already responding to him just standing there and as her eyes left his chest and looked to him he said “You need to try harder to focus…is this…is this helping at all” he said starting to inch just a little bit more to her, close enough that the hold that his eyes had on her was intense and in those amazing eyes of his there was a deepness that was shooting through his eyes to hers. “No” she said starting to look at him as he leaned in right to her his lips just centimeters from her neck as he whispered “Good” and as she looked to him and then to his body seeing his muscles flex she couldn’t help it as she reached out to touch him but he took a step back “No no, we have a barn to build” and as Jade looked to him a completely shocked look just coated her face as she realized what he was doing. “Fine” she said as she started to reach up pulling her hair down and letting it fall just the way that he likes it and as she shook out her hair she smiled to him and started to then pull it back up though as she did her shirt started to rise up a little bit and as he was watching her and wanting to reach to her she pushed his hand back “Nope…we have work to do” and as she started to walk away he looked at her and grunted but started to follow.
As they ended up on the lower level again Drake and Jade decided to enlist a little bit of help from the stable horses that were near by using them to haul the boards up to where they were needed. Though as they headed back down with the horses letting them go back to the fields Drake and Jade started to walk over to the next stack that needed to be tackled when Drake looked over and saw Kiara trying to get a board alone and it ended up toppling over onto her. The beam immediately pinned her to the ground as she yelled out “Oh god” Drake said as he started to run over with Jade right in tow. Getting the beam off her in one hefty lift and then helped her up “You know you shouldn’t be lifting things like that on your own” Drake said starting to look at Kiara and then around a little bit and Jade saw the look that Kiara was giving Drake though he didn’t see but seeing her look at him like that Jade was feeling a little bit of green. “Drake thank you so much I thought that I would be able to help out but I guess I am just a little weakling. Luckily you were here” and as she smiled to him he said “Not a problem just please be careful” and as Kiara checked him out a little bit she said “Maybe next time we can work together” and as he nodded as she walked away Jade couldn’t help but feel anger starting to hit her more than it should. Though as Kiara walked farther away she looked over her shoulder at Drake one more time and Jade couldn’t help it as she started to blurt out “She really better stop it, because I honestly feel like if she…” and as she started to catch herself she said “I uh think someone has a little bit of a crush on you” and as Drake’s eyes got wide he exclaimed “No…no way. But what should she stop Morgan?” and as she realized that she couldn’t get away from this she turned on her heels and started to walk back into the barn and started to head up to the second floor already “Morgan….come on now you have to tell me what does she need to stop” and as she started to walk a little bit faster finally getting to the top she stopped and as Drake closed in on her she looked out and saw Kiara looking up to the second floor to where Drake was standing in the opening.
She couldn’t hold it back and she knew that she shouldn’t say anything but couldn’t help it, she knew how she felt for him and she knew that she still had Liam too but seeing the way that Kiara was looking at him like a piece of meat, it didn’t sit well with her. “I swear if she checks you one more time I am going to literally take this beam” she said as she kicked one that was on the ground “and I am going to throw it at her” and as she started to turn towards the side of the barn now both of them out of the view of anyone she tried to take deep breaths. Drake started to look at her as she was standing there and he could hear the anger and the hint of sadness in her voice. “Why does it upset you so much Morgan? You don’t like the fact that another woman is looking at me, crushing on me, wanting me or the thought that another woman wants to do things with me or be close to me?” and as he started to ask her these things he took a step to her and he could hear her breathing starting to be staggered as he got closer to her and without any warning she turned around “No Drake I really don’t like it there are you happy?” she said starting to look right into his eyes realizing that he is just about a foot from her and she can already feel the tension that is there between them like normal. “I don’t like it at all and its rather sad that you think that it wouldn’t bother me given everything, but I mean I know you have needs right…you have needs that need to be taken care of and knowing that I…I haven’t been able to make up my mind completely and now this damn investigation going on I can’t…I know you have needs” and as she looked at him her eyes falling to the floor and in an instant she felt his fingers tilting her chin to make her look at him.
“You’re right, I do have a need” and as she started to try and look down again she instantly felt his body against hers pressing her into the wall of the barn flush against the wood she gasped feeling all of him there against her. “I do have one need and I can tell you right now that Kiara will never even get a chance to scratch that itch that I have because it’s all yours” and as he looked to her and she was looking to him he leaned in pressing his lips to her kissing her deeply and passionately right there against the wood of the barn pressing more to her and as she started to feel his lips kissing her deeply and she began to kiss him back starting to wrap her arms around his neck to hold him there. He started to lean in kissing at her neck and then whispered “But now you know kind of what I feel, having to watch someone else look at you, touch you and be around you, and I have to do this to keep you safe. But now you can sense how deeply it hits me that I can’t be that way with you in public” and as he leaned in kissing up and down her neck she let out a moan “I…I don’t like her looking at you and I don’t want her to think she can ever touch you” and as she felt him kissing her neck a little bit harder she moaned out digging her nails into his shoulders “You have nothing to worry about Morgan you are the only woman that can get to me and the only one that I want…no matter how long it takes” and as he says this his lower body is pressing to her more and more “You’re the only one that can have me” and as he started to lean in kissing her lips sweetly he then rested his forehead to hers “I better get down there, see you soon” and as she look right to her he slowly pulled away leaving her standing there thinking and her mind racing over and over again about what he just said and as she thought about it she closed her eyes before returning back to the first floor to join the others.
Once she reached the bottom and joined her friends she saw Hana fanning Maxwell who was laying on the ground groaning that he was going to die of heat. Drake was standing around laughing and as she started to look up to Drake she felt a hand on her shoulder and as she jumped a little bit she looked to the right and seen Liam standing there in just a beater and as she looked to him he smiled “Hello everyone. Lady Jade” he said looking to her as he wiped the sweat from his brow “You know I was thinking about heading over to the baths if you all would like to join me” and as Maxwell heard this he got up quickly “Like I would ever turn away going to the spa” and as he smiled to Liam, Liam then looked to everyone else nodding and then to Jade “What do you say lady Jade care to join us” and as he smiled to her he gave her a little wink as she smiled and accepted the invitation knowing that she wanted to get relaxed after this day.
Soon everyone was piled into the limo and headed to the Spa that was close by. Hana and Jade went to their own side as the boys went to the other side. They both changed into a towel only and began to sit around their own little pool that they had and started to sip on apple cider. Most of the time was pretty quiet and relaxing until Hana caught Jade completely off guard “You’re torn aren’t you” and as Hana said that and Jade was taking a drink she started to cough a little bit as she then looked to Hana “What…what do you mean?” she asked starting to feel the blush rushing to her cheeks “Jade you kind of already told me that you were feeling something for Drake before and I know that you care deeply for Liam, you are in love with both of them aren’t you?” she asked looking to her friend as Jade looked down to the water that was around her ankles “Jade you can’t hide the truth I see the way that you have looked at both of them and I see the way that you are the center of their eyes, you don’t have to feel ashamed if you do” and as Jade looked to Hana she said “I just don’t know what to do. I mean if Drake would have stayed in New York that first time, he said it himself that we would be dating, possibly living together etc. But meeting Liam he lifted me up when I was down cause of Drake and I fell for him…hard…and rather fast but my heart never got over Drake. Now two of the most amazing guys that I have ever met are right here in front of me and I don’t know what to do” and as she looked to Hana a tear fell. “I knew that night who I was going to choose…but now both of them have told me that I need to focus on clearing my name and then our lives can start…Liam wants it to be him and Drake has said it too” and as she started to look down she felt the tears fall “Please don’t say anything Hana” and as she looked to her Hana brought her into a hug and started to hold her there “Of course I won’t say anything sweetie you’re my best friend and I just want to support you and be there for you” and as she held Jade and let her cry she knew herself that she was falling hard for someone.
As they pulled apart Jade looked to Hana and could see that there was something on her mind “What is it?” and as she looked to Hana, Hana expressed that she was feeling a lot for Maxwell and that after that kiss she found herself wanting more with him but she was afraid that she would disappoint those around her. Jade looked to her and said “Hana, go for him…he likes you so much and it’s pretty clear that you do too. You need to do what you have always told me, follow your heart. Grab onto him and don’t let go. I have never in all my time of knowing you or him, seen you both so happy then with each other. You need to do what is right for you and no one else” and as they hugged again Hana smiled and agreed. Though as they continued to talk a little bit they soon heard noise coming from the other side of the door. “Hmm are you thinking what I am thinking?” and as Hana started to get out of the pool Jade followed “I think that it’s time to crash the boys’ party” Jade said starting to laugh as they walked to the door and opened it laughing as they did “Surprise!” they both said as they walked through to the other room. Liam immediately looked up and stated “Ladies should we cover up a little bit more” as he started to look down to his towel and Jade laughed “We wouldn’t dream of that, I mean three…wait where is Maxwell?” and as she looked around not seeing him Drake explained that he was hiding for some reason and as Jade laughed she called out “Maxwell, Hana and I are here come out or we are leaving” and as soon as she said that the door to the restroom that was in the room opened and Maxwell came out. Instantly both Hana and Jade’s jaws dropped as they saw the baby hippo tattoo on his chest “Go ahead and laugh just please don’t tell Bertrand that you saw it” and as he started to look down he started to walk over to Hana. Immediately she asked him why they would laugh and he explained what it meant and such and Hana expressed that she loved it as they both started to walk towards the other room where the girls just came from and as Jade watched she whispered “I see how it is” and as she gave Hana a wink she shooed her out of the room to give her time with Maxwell though now leaving her with the two men that were capturing her heart.
Jade started to walk over as she saw Drake get up and head to the restroom she then soon felt a pair of arms around her and as she leaned back into Liam’s embrace he leaned in and said “God I miss you, miss holding you and just being around you” and as she smiled hearing those words she looked back at him “I miss you too but you know we have to play it cool right now” and as she looked to him he looked back to her eyes searching “I was thinking about heading to the steam room if you want to join me” and as she smiled at the thought she knew that it was really risky not knowing if someone else could show up and as she closed her eyes feeling his hands running up and down her side she leaned back a little bit more to him “As amazing as that sounds we can’t risk it” and as their eyes connected she could see the sadness return to his eyes “This needs to be over and needs to be over soon. I can’t go like this for days without being around you, holding you, kissing you” as he leaned in and kissed her neck softly as she closed her eyes feeling the shooting fire through her body. “We, we will find a way soon” and as he agreed with her he then turned her to look at him “I am counting the days until all this is over and we can figure us out” and as he stroked her cheek he leaned in stealing a kiss from her. She felt her body go a little limp feeling the fire that was normally there with him soaring through her as she kissed him back. But soon he pulled away and promised her that he would see her soon.
Just as Liam walked out of the room heading down the hall to the steam room, Jade was taking deep breathes when she heard the bathroom door open and as she turned she saw Drake standing there and as she was still feeling Liam’s hands on her she couldn’t help but stare at the way that Drake’s towel was hanging dangerously low on his hips as he started to walk out “What did everyone leave you alone?” as he started to walk towards her. Without even saying another word he took her hand and walked her to the edge of the pool “What…what are you doing?” and as she looked to him as he still had her hand he looked to the pool “Supposedly it’s good for the body to go from hot to cold it stimulates your bodies response to warm itself. It can be painful but just like a lot of things in life you just have to take the step. Want to do it with me?” he asked starting to look at her and as she met his eyes she said “Yes” “Really?” and she smiled as she said “We are in this together right?” and as he smiled to her smile he brought her hand up to his lips and kissed the back of her hand. They both stood on the edge of the pool and as they counted to three they both jumped in at the same time together right on three plunging into the cold waters below. Soon they both came to the surface shivering with the cold and Drake teased her about keeping up with him and she told him to not let it go to his head. Though as he chuckled he started to get out of the pool and then reaching down to help her out as well, but as she realized that they were still alone she couldn’t stop herself as she leaned up pressing her lips to the corner of his mouth teasingly before starting to turn to walk away.
“Where do you think you’re going Morgan?” he asked grabbing her arms gently and pulling her back to him “Well I was trying to get you back for the barn earlier” she laughed a little bit as he looked at her raising his eyebrow “Oh really, well you will have to do better than that” he smirked to her as she said “Hmm is that so?” she asked as he nodded his head starting to bring her closer to him a little bit as she quickly turned him and tried to push him into the pool but he was quicker than she thought as he wrapped his arms around her waist as they both fell back into the pool. After a few seconds they both came up to the surface again and in an instant Drake pulled her to him and lifted her up to where her legs wrapped around his waist and as he looked up to her he started to walk back to the step and sat down bringing her right to his lap. His hands were immediately on her hips starting to pull her right to him and she could feel between the towels that he was turned on and as she looked to him right in the eyes she grinded her hips to his just a little bit which drew a moan from his lips right to her ear “Hmm damn Morgan” and as she smiled hearing the way that she as making him feel she leaned in whispering “This is what you get for teasing me at the barn” and as he started to look at her feeling her right hand starting to run down his chest and to his lap where she sat she just started to let her fingers trace over him and he reached down pulling her hand away “I don’t get to touch you don’t either” and as he started to look to her right in the eyes the hint of satisfaction hitting his eyes she knew that she could be mean but instead she leaned in pressing her lips to his tenderly but passionately. Though just as she was about to bring his hands to touch her they heard Maxwell yell out “You guys have to see this!” and before either of them could register what was going on they separated and got out of the pool rather quickly both left wanting more.
Though right before Jade could walk to the other side Drake grabbed her arm “This is to be continued I hope” and as he leaned in kissing her quickly one more time Jade then reached to the door handle to the connecting room and walked in coming face to face with Maxwell on top of about ten stacked chairs “What the hell are you doing Maxwell?” she exclaimed as he started to look down to them “Watch and learn” and as he stood straight up he performed a back flip perfectly off the chairs and though Hana barely watched and Jade gasped she saw him do it perfectly “Maxwell you crazy animal” she heard Liam say as he walked into the room as well and as their eyes locked he gave her a smile and a small wink as him and Drake shook hands and started to talk. Maxwell came back to the surface and looked right to Jade, “You up for trying it” and as she looked to Drake and Liam whom were looking back to her with wide eyes Liam said “I don’t know if that would be a good idea. We don’t want you to get hurt” and as she looked to Drake she could see the worry in his eyes though as she knew that she had done that many times before back home she knew that she could do it. Starting to walk to the chairs and climbing up, she finally reached the top and started to stand there and as she smiled down she then executed the move perfectly. Once she was back up to the surface she looked over to Drake and Liam and seeing their jaws were open “That was epic! Jade seriously that was the best I think that I have ever seen” and as she smiled to Maxwell she then started to get out of the pool walking towards Liam and Drake adjusting her towel a little bit more. Soon after a little bit longer Liam ended up having to leave and so did Hana and as they left soon Maxwell and Drake walked Jade back to her room knowing that it was hard for her to go back to the room but soon enough Drake was right there and asked her if she wanted him to come back tonight and when she told him that she would like that and she would let him know for sure as she didn’t want him to get in trouble “You’re worth the risk” he said as he leaned in pecking her lips gently before walking away to head back to his room.
Over the next few hours Bertrand stopped by and talked to her a little bit about a few things to what she was about to expect as she went into the picnic tomorrow. He then also talked with her about the investigation and how he might need to use her help the next day. Though soon he left leaving her to herself as she started to get changed from the sweats and such and getting into a quick shower. Once she was finally in bed, it took her some time to get comfortable knowing that she didn’t feel very well and her head was hurting a little bit. Knowing that her headaches have been a little bit more frequent lately she was starting to get a little bit nervous about them and as she couldn’t fall asleep right away she sent a text to Drake who informed her that he was with Liam and that he would be there as soon as he could be. Knowing that she had some time to wait as she felt it was great that they were able to spend some time together she got up and unlocked the door in hopes that he wouldn’t be long but then ended up dozing off, though as she started to dream being in that room triggered a nightmare about that night enough so that she was actually yelling out for Drake. As she began thrashing around she soon felt a hand on her shoulder trying to calm her down though as she yelled out “Drake” she opened her eyes quickly and sat straight up in bed and came face to face with Liam who was there to wake her up.
“Li..Liam what …what are you doing here?” she asked as she was breathing as if panting for air and as she looked to him the concern that was written all over his face as he said “I heard you screaming but why yelling for Drake?” and as he started to bring her into his arms she felt guilty as she knew she was walking a thin line right now with letting the truth be told or pushing what she was feeling in the back. “I think my mind just ran back to that night, I was having a dream about Tariq and that night Drake was the first one that got to me so I think my mind just took over with that” and as he held her she cuddled up to him. He leaned in kissing her head “I wish I could have been there for you, I know that had to have been a scary night” and he pulled her into his lap a little bit. As they talked a little bit more Jade found out that Liam and Drake ended up going to a local pub something that they haven’t done for a while and as she leaned on him and started to feel so comfortable with him she soon found herself leaning in and kissing his cheek though as he smiled and placed his hand on her cheek he leaned in pressing his lips to hers and she melted. Something in this kiss was completely different than before. She felt this one shoot from the edge of her lips to the tips of her toes. Feeling this passion and this heat that was coming from him was a surprise and soon she couldn’t help but kissing him back. Knowing that her heart was in two she couldn’t just stop all together the feelings that she did have for Liam.
As she continued to kiss him back she started to turn a little bit in his arms as he was sitting on the bed, feeling his hands immediately start to go to her hips to hold her there she heard him whisper to her lips “I can’t wait for it to just be you and me in the end of all this. For this investigation to be over and for my engagement to Madeleine to be done and over with” and as he started to lean in kissing her again she started to feel her heart starting to fall a little bit “You are engaged for now, what am I doing?” she asked starting to lean in resting her forehead to his a little bit starting to know that she shouldn’t be doing anything that could get him into trouble. “I am only engaged to the public, she doesn’t have my heart, not like you do” and as she started to look at him she could see in his baby blues the passion and the desire there that she has only ever seen when he has been around her and she couldn’t take it. She leaned in pressing her lips to his and that little kiss turned into a full blown make out session. He leaned her back onto the bed settling between her legs pressing to her as he kissed her lips, her cheeks, her jawline and then down to her neck. Starting to kiss along her collar bone that showed just the top part of her breast as his lips danced over her silk flesh. Moaning to his touch on her she started to feel her heart beating faster inside her chest under his lips. This continued for just a little bit longer until he felt his phone buzzing and it was from Bastien wondering where he was as he had not checked in. He kissed her one more time before heading out as he looked to her and said “I will see you again soon, maybe soon we could spend the whole night together” and as he smiled he walked away from her room.
Jade leaned against the door thinking about what he just said and as she started to think about everything going on her thoughts were interrupted when there was a soft knock on the door and as she smirked to herself she started to turn opening the door and as she opened it she came face to face with Drake “Hey I didn’t think…” and before she can continue his hands cupped her face and leaned in kissing her tenderly. He began walking her into the room and kicking the door shut with no hesitation at all as he started to bring her into his arms. As he led her to the bed and started to lift her up and setting her on the bed he pulled back from her kisses “Go away with me” and as she looked to him she looked shocked and wide eyed to him “What are you talking about” and as she looked to Drake it seemed to break him as he knelt down on the side of the bed and leaned in resting his head in her lap “I don’t want to see you go through this, I can’t let you go through this” and as he looked to her she started to run her hand through his hair “You know I can’t now…we have to find Tariq” and as she looked to him and saw the look in his eyes they ended up talking and he opened up about how he found out from Liam that Madeleine wants to break her and make her leave and wants her gone by the end of the engagement tour, that she knows that Liam doesn’t love her but knows that she is a threat to getting the crown. As they continued to talk they stayed that way for hours until Jade ended up dozing off in Drake’s arms where she felt safe and secure. Knowing that this new leg of touring was not going to be a walk in the park as she knew that she would have to act around Madeleine but right there in his arms all her fears just drifted away. Drake held her through the night kissing her head every now and then but not letting her go not one moment though the night.
