Jade looked straight ahead to the one of the individuals that she was questioning to if they were even there and as she covered her face from trying to stop the tears from falling Hana walked into the room and hugged her. Hugging her back Jade couldn’t help the tears from falling from her eyes feeling the sobs just coming as she hugged her best friend. “I didn’t think that you would be here if I came back, your parents, they called for you” and as they pulled apart Hana stated “They did but I am here although I didn’t think you would come back after what happened” and as Hana looked to Jade her tears fell as well. “We were all wondering if you were going to come back and I was scared that I would be stuck here without my best friend” and as Hana hugged her again Jade hugged her back tightly. “How are you here, like I said your parents, they” and as she went to continue Hana explained that she was part of Madeleine’s entourage basically and it was only with the help from Liam. “Madeleine promised that she would find me a match but needless to say there is only one that I want but to please my parents until I can tell them the truth this will have to do. My only real reason to agree to her is to be here just in-case you did come back” and as Hana smiled to her Jade lead her into the room. “Believe me I didn’t think I was ever going to come back but I, I am glad that I am, I need to clear my name” she said starting to sit on the edge of the bed.
“Have you seen Drake at all since you have been back?” Hana asked as she started to sit next to Jade on the bed and as Jade looked down she shook her head “I haven’t yet. Maxwell told me a little bit about what happened but not everything after I left” and as she started to bring the pillow over to her chest and holding it to her body Hana looked to her “Jade, Drake went ape shit basically after you were taken, he was ready to go do anything that he could to get you back or at least get to you. After you were pulled away and I saw him he was threatening the guards, he punched a wall and he was told to leave and get some air. I didn’t see him until later that night, after you had been gone. He was ready to do anything and everything, just like we all were. I had no idea that I was going to be staying here for sure so no one even really knows that I am here either, so I didn’t know what the plan really was and if you were coming back. I am just really glad that you are back” she said starting to look to Jade wiping the tears away again. Jade looked to her after hearing what she said “I didn’t think he would want to get involved. I mean he warned about something like this happening and that I could get hurt. I didn’t listen to him and I just went along with it all. I should have listened to him, I don’t belong here, but now I have to be because I have to get down to the bottom of this and I have to clear myself” she said starting to think about where Drake could be now knowing that no one has seen him it seems.
As they continued talking for a little bit, Jade filled her in on what she was doing for that week and how if she goes back again she will more than likely not have a job at all because she just left again. Though as they continued there was a knock on the door. Hana stood up letting Jade relax a little bit and headed to the door and as she opened it she smiled “Rise and sh….Hana!” Maxwell stated as he stood there just outside the door and not wasting a moment he stepped in hugging her to him right to his chest and as she hugged him back Jade looked on and smiled “I didn’t know you were going to be back I just..” and as he started to bring her to him again he leaned in not caring and kissing her sweetly and tenderly as she smiled to him “Well I am here meaning you are stuck with me” and as Maxwell smiled bringing her to him again holding her as he walked into the room with her he shut the door. “Well I did come here to wake you up but it looks like someone beat me to the punch” and as he smiled down to Hana kissing the top of her head Jade started to get up out of the bed and putting the pillow back. “Let me guess time to get ready?” she asked starting to walk over to her suitcase to see if she had something suitable for today knowing that she didn’t want to bother the brothers too much.
Maxwell looked to her with an eyebrow raised in a curious wonder “What are you doing? You know that we go to the boutique to get your dress for the events” and as he laughed “Did you forget this already?” he asked as she looked to him and said “No I just didn’t know if I would be allowed there you know with going against Liam and all” and as she looked down Maxwell shook his head “Yeah but you didn’t and since you are here with the okay from the court and the King you can go to the boutique” he said starting to lead them both out of the room and heading down right to the boutique. Once there Maxwell informed Jade that it was the engagement party tonight before heading out on the tour and as Jade stood there looking over the dresses holding her anger inside and keeping her composure perfectly Hana walked over to her “How can you be so calm about all of this?” and as she looked to Jade who did have tears in her eyes Jade explained “Throwing a fit is not going to help my case any right? So I might as well go with the punches while I am here” and as Hana hugged Jade she whispered “You are so strong. I don’t think that I could ever do something like this” and as Jade hugged her back she said “Let’s hope that you never have too” and as they parted they started to look through the dresses a little bit more.
Jade continued to look and look and she seemed to not find anything that she really could see herself wearing “I mean what does one wear when they have to watch a woman that doesn’t love the man that she feels for at their engagement party?” and as she looked over to Hana she saw her looking distantly out of the room a little bit and as Jade started to wonder what was going on she headed over “Hana you alright?” she asked placing a hand on her friends shoulder “Hmm oh yeah I am alright just thinking” and Jade looked to her and asked “About what…the party, the weather” and Hana answered with a no and with the way that she was looking Jade already knew as she questioned “Maxwell?” and without even a slight hesitation Hana said “Yes…wait what!” and her cheeks instantly flushed “Hana don’t act so surprised I already know that you like him, well really like him” and as Hana started to sit she put her head in her hands but then looked up seeing Maxwell standing in the corner on his phone and she looked to Jade “I just know that my parents are not going to approve of him and it scares me that they are not going to give me a chance to be happy with him if we do end up wanting to be together” and as she looked down to the floor and as Jade looked to her she placed her hand on Hana’s shoulder “Hana as long as you are happy they have to give it a chance, they can’t tell you how to love and who to be with” and as they looked to each Hana smiled knowing that Jade was right “You’re right I am just going to take it one day at a time. I mean this thing with Maxwell could end by next week” and as Jade looked to Maxwell who looked over giving a wink to Hana she leaned over and said “I highly doubt it. He really likes you I can tell” and as she nudged her bestie they started to look at the dresses again.
After about another fifteen minutes or so Jade finally found a dress that she thinks would be amazing. It was a pink dress cutting off right just before her knees giving way to her slender legs, the material was a lace fabric with short shoulder sleeves, and the front was a perfect combination of peek a boo lace over her chest but with the goods covered in a respectful manner. Though as Jade went to zip up the back it got stuck, Hana immediately came over to help “What would I do without you Hana” and as she looked to Hana, Hana informed her that her parents were not approving of them being friends but she didn’t care she knew that Jade was an amazing friend and person at that and as they hugged they were soon escorted by Maxwell out of the room and heading to the party. Jade’s heart was beating so fast knowing that again she would be seeing Madeleine and knowing more now about what her and Liam have agreed upon she knows that she has to be on best behavior because if Madeleine really wanted to she could end Jade’s stay here in a heartbeat. She knew that she had to just take it all in and having Hana by her side she knew that this was going to be easier than she thought originally.
As they entered the room and immediately greeted Madeleine, Jade saw the scowl on her face at the perfect dress and as she greeted Madeleine with a nod of the head and a “Good Evening Countess Madeleine” Madeleine excused herself rather quickly to address the guests “Thank you all so much for coming. I wanted to start this evening out with a toast in celebrating our engagement and to give credit where it is due to King Father Constantine and Queen Mother Regina. You both are simply amazing and with your blessing for Liam and myself I am in your deepest appreciation for welcoming me so deeply. I would also like to toast my mother and of course to you Darling. I would love no one else by my side for the rest of my life than you” and as she looked to Liam she could and so could Jade seeing the straight look that was on Liam’s face as he gave a small smile “I am ever so grateful Madeleine” and as he raised his glass to her and to take a sip as everyone did, Jade saw Madeleine lean up and kiss him on the cheek. Jade started to look down knowing that though she knew what she was feeling in her heart and in her mind it was still hard seeing him have to go through that. “Oh come on now Madeleine that is your fiancé, kiss him like you mean it…or I will” Adelaide spoke up as laughter broke out into the room. Liam shook his head with a laugh but not wanting to seem uncomfortable Madeleine reached up to the back of Liam’s neck and pulled him in for a kiss. Jade immediately looked down and away though she closed her eyes knowing that she couldn’t be thinking about her feelings right now knowing that they have changed so much and knowing that is not why she is here.
After the kiss broke and the party started to continue on Madeleine soon made her way over to Jade and Hana “I do hope that you are enjoying your time back Lady Hana” and as Jade looked to Madeleine as if to send her a message to lay off Hana, Madeleine looked to Jade “Lady Jade I do hope that you know that without me Lady Hana would not be here. I hope that you can appreciate what I can give and what I can take away” and as Madeleine stared Jade down Jade didn’t move an inch “Countess Madeleine I know that both Hana and I appreciate the courtesy of being allowed back. It is an honor really and I hope that you know we are thankful as she is my best friend” and as she looked to Madeleine not breaking the eye contact as well. “I do thank you for allowing her to come back” and as she spoke she soon looked over and saw Liam approaching.
Madeleine instantly changed the moment that she saw Liam walking to her side “Hello Darling” she said looking to him and then to Jade. “Lady Hana it is great to see you back. I am happy to see a familiar face here in court” and as he smiled to Hana she smiled and nodded “Thank you, your majesty it feels great to be back and I thank Madeleine for allowing me to be in her circle” and as Jade looked to Liam who soon looked right back to her she could see the look and the longing in his eyes as he started to speak “Lady Jade” and as she gave a smile she greeted him “Hello your majesty, thank you for having me tonight to celebrate your engagement” though as the words rolled off her tongue she started to feel sick knowing that he was not happy. “Oh you’re very welcome. We are glad you are here and you look…beautiful” and as he smiled to her his eyes never breaking hers Madeleine could see the way that he was looking at her and her to him. “Darling new guests have arrived why not go greet them and I will join you in just a moment. I must talk to Jade about this beautiful dress” and as he nodded his head and then looked to Jade again he took his leave. “Lady Hana would you be so kind to let me steal Lady Jade for a moment please” and as Hana started to step away Madeleine looked to Jade “Walk with me” and that is all she said as she started to walk away and as Jade rolled her eyes she complied and followed Madeleine out the side patio.
Jade immediately could sense that Madeleine was not happy and she was about to hear about it “You know you two could be a little bit more subtle” and as she looked to Jade she crossed her arms in front of her chest, standing straight as though she was reaffirming her dominance over Jade “What are you talking about Madeleine?” Jade asked though she already knew what she was about to say but she didn’t want to back down as she looked right to Madeleine standing tall and not breaking at all. Madeleine chuckled “You and Liam, the longing looks, you know the star-crossed lovers act, you could tone it down a little bit” and as Jade felt the anger slipping into her body she chuckled “Act, you know damn well that it’s not an act. We still care about each other, that never stopped” and as she looked to Madeleine she saw her take a step to her “Lady Jade I could care less. Do as you wish with any and all feeling that may or may not be there, hell I don’t even care if you want me to set up a little tryst here and there” and as she took another step to Jade she said “But don’t you dare embarrass me. I have just enough pull now that if you do, I can make sure that you never step foot here again, you never clear your name and you will never ever have Liam, so I suggest that you watch what you do in front of people with him” and as she stood there her eyes like ice looking to Jade, Jade took a step to Madeleine staring her right back “Do you not care at all that he feels for me but absolutely nothing for you?” and as they continue to look at each other Madeleine soon blinks and smirks “No. Behind closed doors you can have him in any way shape or form. You can have his heart; you can even have his body if you wish. But as long as I am next to him to lead in Cordonia and have the crown, you can have the best of both worlds when you think about it. Why risk throwing that away when all you have to do is be decent when he is around” and as she looked to Jade again, Jade could feel the anger from her radiating to her own “Fine. Now I have to ask you something, and in return I will heed your warning…do you know anything about where I can find Tariq?” she asked starting to look to her a little bit more this time letting the anger just slip away from her and as Madeleine shared she had no idea and didn’t care, she bid Jade a good night and walked away.
Jade took a few moments to regain her composure before heading back in soon right to Maxwell and Bertrand who complimented the dress that she found. “Wanted to share with you a little bit of news that we found but can’t here” and as they led her through the crowd and off to the side of the room, Bertrand shared that they found out that after the press release Tariq fled Cordonia and no one knows at all where he is. So this now just became a game of needle in a haystack and Jade could feel her hope just draining out of her. Though as they spoke a little bit more they explained that they would head out after the festivities that night to get a head start back at Applewood Manor which was the first stop on the tour. Being able to look around might give them an advantage to trying to find anything that would help Jade with her case. Jade admits that she would rather leave now instead of staying another moment here and as Bertrand reminded her that she couldn’t she took in a deep breath and headed back in.
Once back in the room she found Hana immediately and filled her in on the news that she just found out though as she was talking to Hana she could see Hana looking around every so often and as Jade smiled and gave a little chuckle Hana looked to her “What? What is so funny…not knowing where he is, is not funny” and as Jade shook her head she looked to Hana “Go get him, spend some time with your man. I will talk to you later” and as she hugged Hana she watched as Hana made her way over to Maxwell right away and soon Jade looked around seeing them and then seeing Bertrand talking with a few others, seeing the King Father and Queen Mother talking with Adelaide and Madeleine and as she looked around she saw Liam standing there and speaking with a few others. She was just standing there and that is when she decided that she would get some fresh air, and then she would come back.
Upon leaving the ballroom and heading down the hall towards the back of the estate she started to walk rather quickly and not really thinking that anyone would be around though as she rounded the corner her body collided with someone else “Oh my I am so,” and as she looked to the person that she ran into her heart rate increased and her breathing became a little staggered as she looked up at those beautiful intense eyes she uttered the name that she had been longing to say “Drake?” and the tears started it wasn’t even a second later as he brought her to his arms as he said “Come here sweetie” bringing her right to his body and holding her trembling body to his as she cried in his arms letting the tears hit his shirt as she clung to him gripping his shirt as if showing him that she was not going to let go. He leaned in kissing the top of her head “I…I had no idea that you were back, no one told me anything” and as she started to relax a little bit she said “I thought that I would never see you again” and as she looked up to him and he reached in drying her tears with the corner of his blue over shirt she felt her body and her mind start to relax a little bit feeling so much better knowing that he was there. “Oh come now Jade you are not going to lose me that easily not ever again” and as he looked to her he couldn’t help it he brought her to his body again as she shivered in his arms.
After another moment of holding her like that he pulled back and immediately cupped her cheek with his hand “I…I wanted to come after you so badly, but they wouldn’t let any of us even get close to you. Hell getting ready to punch a guard he got to me first; but that wasn’t going to stop me. I was pissed and for the first time, I didn’t care at all about anything but getting to you” and as he leaned in kissing her forehead he then pressed his to hers. “I am going to help you in any way that I can Morgan, you have my word, until you tell me to leave, I am not going anywhere. I can tell you right now that there is nothing that is going to stop me from helping” and as he looked to her and she looked up to him she knew that there was something that she had to ask him “I appreciate that so much I really do, knowing that you are here makes my heart fill again with hope that this will be taken care of” and as she looked down and then back up to him she asked “But I have to ask, what about us?” as she started to look up into his eyes knowing that she knows how she feels about him and how they have been close to so much so many times. “Jade we have been over this, you know how I feel about you and that has and will never change…” and as he went to continue she interrupted “Then why don’t you take me away like you promised me before? Take me away from all this drama and nonsense” she said starting to feel the tears threatening again.
Drake looked to her right in the eyes as he started to take in a deep breath “Babe I would in a heartbeat” and as he looked to the ground he knew that he had to keep it inside “I want you more than anything, I want to just be with you, hold you, kiss you, just everything with you, but not like this” and as he started to look at her she felt her heart starting to beat faster in her chest as he explained “The people that are out to hurt you and Liam are the top priority right now. Taking you away would end up with us not finding them and making them pay. I can’t let you just walk away with this stain on your name, because your heart is gold and everyone should see only that” and as she started to look to him he continued “I want to help you clear your name before I rescue you and get you to be safe again. That is if you actually want me over Liam. I highly doubt that you would” and as he looked down she brought her hand up to his cheek “Is it so hard to believe that I could choose you over him?” she asked starting to make him look at her and as he starts to respond to her she can see in his eyes the pain that is there and the sadness that coats the reality of what it’s been like “My whole life I have been in his shadow. Even as a kid into being an adult he was always just one step ahead and everyone loved him. I can’t imagine someone like you actually wanting someone like me, when Liam can give you the world, he can give you a home, a future…I can’t offer much” and as she stroked his cheek he finished “If you actually did choose to be with me like you have said you want to do, I wouldn’t want you to regret it. But I know that if it’s me in the end I wouldn’t be able to stop myself from being the happiest and luckiest guy in the world” and as he looked to her his smile grew but then faded as he stated “Even if we could be together now, we couldn’t be publicly as right now that could cause even more issues for both you and Liam. He deserves you and Cordonia deserves you. I couldn’t hurt him like that and I will never be good enough. So we should just focus right now on finding anything and everything to clear you” and as he looked to her resting his head on hers pulling her in for another hug, Jade started to feel a little bit of anger building inside of her body.
Her green eyes pained and sad burned right to his as she said “Don’t you dare say that to me” and as she went to continue he cut in and said “Look at that, disappointing you already and I just got you back” and as he looked down she brought her hand up to bring his face to look at her again “I didn’t mean that at all, it’s just…Drake you are good enough and it pains me when you say that about yourself” and as she looked to him and started to show the sadness in her eyes from hearing him say those things he let out the breath that he was holding and started to look at her again “When I find out who did this to you, I am going to make them pay” and as she smiled she said “I know you will” and as he looked to her again he said “I don’t know who is all involved but you have Hana, Maxwell, Bertrand, Liam and you have me and I know that we are all going to do what we can baby” and he brought her into his arms again. “I know that it must not have seemed that we had your back at first but it’s because Liam knew that it could have been dangerous to reach out to you and we wanted to plan together, to get you back but on the down low so no one would know. We all wanted to reach out to you but we just couldn’t risk it. If you only knew what happened that night, you would see just how much everyone was ready to get you back and you wouldn’t have a doubt in the world about it” and as she looked to him she leaned up kissing his cheek and as she felt him looking out to something he smiled “How about we catch up over at the fire pit? We could make some s’mores and you can finally hear everything about what happened. I mean there is nothing wrong with two friends making s’mores right” as he knew and she did too that the wrong person could see them together and make everything worse.
Smiling to him she started to walk him over to the fire pit and started to sit down in the one chair as he ran back into the estate to get a few things and as he returned he sat down next to her giving her a poker and then a marshmallow starting to get the fire going. Luckily, it seemed to spark up right away do to it being electric on the bottom. “Year round s’mores with this fire pit” and as she laughed a little bit she watched him sit down and then looked to her, a sadness hitting his eyes. “Just make sure not to hold it to close to the fire, you don’t want to burn it, just lightly roast it” and as she looked to him and laughed “Alright s’more king any other pointers” and as she smiled to him he reached over to her and repositioned the poker at the right angle to get the perfect heat too it as he said “Every ten seconds turn it until all sides are a golden tint” he smiled as she followed his directions. As she continued to follow his lead she asked him where he learned to do this and he told of a time where his father took him camping but had forgotten the dinner that his mother had packed, so they ended up living off s’mores for dinner and breakfast and as she saw the happiness that spread over his face when he talked about his father she could tell that he loved his dad and misses him and as she looked to him she could feel as though he was still right there with her and him around the fire. “Dad always knew how to make the best out of a bad situation and if he were here right now he would be helping too I can imagine” and as he smiled to Jade his eyes seemed to gloss over a little bit. Jade reached over taking his hand “I bet you with everything that I am that he is so proud of you Drake, seeing the man that you have become I bet he is smiling down at you all the time and probably bragging about his amazing son” and as she leaned in kissing his cheek, he felt his cheek get a small blush to it and he smiled to her “Thanks Morgan I needed to hear that” and as he smiled to her, she started to take a deep breath. “Drake what happened that night after I was dragged out?” she asked starting to look him in the eyes and as he went to say something he told her first to try her s’more and then he would tell her and when she did she moaned into the delicious taste invading her mouth “Oh my, that is amazing” she said smiling to him “Good I am glad I didn’t disappoint”
Though as he started to take another deep breath he started to explain everything to her, taking her hand and turning more to her “This is going to take a while…” and as she looked to him she said “I am not going anywhere” and as he looked to her he then closed his eyes for a moment as he said “By the time I got free of the room that I was taken to, your car was starting to drive away. I had seen you look back to the palace but I don’t think you saw me. I took off running, trying to yell out your name but I wasn’t fast enough. I then tried to throw a rock at the car but one of the guards grabbed my arms back and pulled me back into the palace. I ended up back at the side bar where we were that night” and as he looked to her she could see the pained look on his face “Drake I didn’t know that you ran after me” and as she looked to him there were tears forming in her eyes a little bit “Not a lot of good came from that as you can see” he looked down to the ground “After some time away from everyone maybe about an hour or so later maybe even three, I had lost track of time after my 3rd or 4th drink I went right to your room and that is where I found Liam, Hana and Beaumont’s. They immediately told me that they were going to try and get you back and without even hesitating I said “Let’s bring her home” Soon as Drake was talking it’s like he was reliving it all over again as he told her everything that happened after that:
Drake walked into the room a little bit more starting to sit at the edge of the bed and Hana sat down next to him giving him a side hug as he sat there holding the photo that he found on the mirror. “Do you have any news, anything at all that will help us get her back” he asked Liam as he looked up his eyes red as were everyone else’s. “All I know is that Bastien took her to her room to get her things and then forced her to leave with another guard” Liam said starting to look down to the floor of the bedroom “I know, I tried to run after the car but I couldn’t get to her” Drake said looking around the room feeling like he failed. “This isn’t right…this is Jade we are talking about there is no way that she would have done anything to hurt you…someone had to have set her up” Hana said wiping her tears away. “I know Hana none of this is right, they took her away and there was nothing that I could do. I begged my father to reconsider to let her say her side, but instead they made me watch her be taken away” Liam said starting to look out the window a little bit and then brought his hand back and punching the wall to the side of the window “I should have tried harder” Liam said getting angry with himself as he started to turn back to everyone.
“Liam we have to stay calm, we have to stay calm for Jade. Everyone is going to be watching how you react now that she is gone, you can’t be blowing up like this. I mean I know that you are mad, we all are….but it won’t help her any if we can’t think about this calmly” Drake said standing up and placing a hand on Liam’s shoulder. Knowing deep down he was pissed too but he couldn’t let it show, not here, not now. Liam took a deep breath “We need a plan and we need this to be just between us. We don’t know who is involved with what happened so it’s just us five that are going to be doing something about it. We can’t risk it, we might all be watched for a few days so we can’t do anything right away” he started to explain. Over the next moments it was talked about how Olivia left too and how it seemed to be planned to pick Madeleine. It was explained that Madeleine would be at his bend and he made an offer to Hana to stay if Madeleine agrees. He then looked to Drake and said “Drake I know that you will watch over her since you know that I won’t be able to. I know that I can count on you” and as he smiled to his best friend, Drake could feel the guilt hitting him “Of course you can I care about her and her well-being too” and as the planning continued Liam made it clear that Drake would have to be careful too as everyone knew that he was Liam’s best friend and they could start to speculate that he was using Drake to get to Jade and that could cause issues and mistrust and cause everything to backfire. Even though it pained Drake he agreed “Stay away….from Jade…got it” and as he looked down to the photo again he traced her face and Liam looked over just as he did and could sense that Drake was upset just as they all were.
Drake finished explaining everything to her about all that was talked about and the plan that she knew about now of Maxwell getting her back and such and as he started to look at her pulling his mind from the memory he said “God Jade, I wanted so badly just to head to the airport and get you in my arms but Liam was right. If we would have been seen together or if someone would have seen you coming back it could have been so much worse for you and I couldn’t let that happen. I don’t ever want you to be in danger as long as I am around you will be safe” he said starting to look at her “Liam told us that we would have to be careful and we would have to see what happens if you came back. I asked him if you would be back with the Beaumont’s and he said yes and we figured that would be best. After everyone left I stayed in your room, I couldn’t leave” and as he started to look down to the ground he then continued “Hana took a photo of you and her together and your halo from that first night that you were here and I…I couldn’t leave. I sat on your bed and my heart just ached, my chest actually hurt and I took your pillow and just sat there holding it. I ended up sleeping in your bed for a few hours just wishing that when I woke that this was all a dream and that you would be back in my arms again when I walked out of the room” and as he started to look at her he said “But when I woke up and realized that I wouldn’t be holding you again, hugging you, talking to you, I wouldn’t ever get to kiss you again…it made it that much harder and pushed me even more to get you back. But that is what happened and the whole truth from what I know” and as he started to look at her he started to give her a little bit of a smirk but then started to look back down again.
Jade was looking at Drake as she reached up and wiped away her tears that were falling as she realized what happened “I…I never knew that you did that, that you ran after me, that you wanted so badly to come after me” and as she went to continue he cut her off “Well of course I did Jade, I wanted…no I needed to know that you were okay, that you were safe. Every night that you were gone I just wanted to comfort you and hold you, reassure you that you were going to be alright. To be honest, I just wanted you back for my own selfish reasons” and as he started to reach out and stroke her cheek “I am still worried for you even now, people have been assassinated here even with having high security. If that,” he paused as he looked to her and she could see that there was a glossy tint to his eyes “If that were to ever happen to you I don’t know what I would do, but I would probably end up in jail, cause I would kill the bastard that did it” and as he said that Jade looked to him feeling her heart starting to beat faster and faster in her chest knowing that there was so much in him that she saw and that she was falling for and hearing that he would do anything, anything at all to protect her it made her heart ache more for him.
“Drake, I thank you so much for telling me what happened I know that it wasn’t easy for me either to be away from you all” and as she looked to him and reached out taking his hand he started to look at her as he said “Morgan you deserved to know, I mean we all were broken and we all wanted you back but I mean…” and as he started to look down to where their hands were connected “There is no way that we could just forget about you” and as he started to look back to her he could feel his heart starting to beat faster in his chest as well knowing that he missed her so damn much and that there was nothing that he wouldn’t do to get her back. “I am sorry that it took so long to get to you” and as he looked to her she saw the one single tear that wanted to fall from his eye but he looked down before it could fall “Drake” she said as he answered “Yeah” and she looked to him leaning more to him as she said “Look at me” and as he lifted his head to hers she felt her heart racing as she leaned in kissing him tenderly and sweetly.
Drake instantly froze but then kissed her back sweetly and rather quickly as he pulled away sighing “We can’t do this not out here in the open, if someone were to see…” he started but she cut him off placing a finger over his lips “I don’t care Drake, you literally came running after me I don’t want to waste another moment not doing what I want to do” and as she started to look at him he groaned out feeling his body tensing and his heart beating so fast in his chest. “Damnit Morgan” he said as he looked around one time and in one swift moment reached over to her and brought her right into his lap starting to have her straddle him as his arms went around her slender waist her dress covering her just enough but knowing that he wanted all of her, his hands were running up and down her back and then to her perfect back side as one hand came up to be up in her hair “Oh god Drake” she said leaning in and pressing her lips to his again “You have no idea how scared I was that I was never going to feel your arms again” and as she said this his body responded as he pressed up to her leaning in and capturing her lips in a searing hot, passionately deep kiss. Though as he kissed her back matching her urgency to what she wanted and as he felt her hands running up and down his chest and then her right hand starting to slide down to where their bodies met he moaned out into the night sky as their kiss broke and she leaned in starting to kiss his neck, his body responding to her and as he flung his head back to give her more access and felt her hand starting to run over him, he reached down taking her hand. Jade immediately pulled back looking right to him “Did…did I do something wrong” and the look of worry in her eyes made his whole body just ache. “God no babe you could never do anything wrong. I want you Morgan, I want you so bad. But I just want it to be in the right way for everyone involved, mostly you. But I can’t risk you getting hurt. But once this is over…if you have made up your mind and you choose me best believe, we are not leaving one of our rooms for a very…” and as he said this his lips traced her neck “very…very long time” and as he leaned in she said “You…you promise” and as he leaned in pressing his lips to her sealing the promise “I promise” and as they both let out a content sigh Jade started to get off of his lap “You have been so good to me and I know that I want you to …” though as she went to continue she heard Maxwell yelling to her.
As Maxwell walked around the estate and found them now standing there he smiled to Drake “Glad to see she came back?” he asked and as Drake smiled he nodded “Of course I am, we are all together now to work on finding out who did this” and as he looked to Jade and she smiled Maxwell looked over and could sense something but just shook it off. “Look I know that you are tired of running all the time but like Bertrand said we should get to Applewood manor before everyone else so we can look around” and as he smiled Jade looked to him “Sounds good I will be right there, out back right” and as Maxwell nodded Jade looked to Drake “Hey there is something that I stupidly put on the top shelf of my closet could you come get it down for me” she asked looking right to Drake “Sure I can do that” and as she looked to Maxwell she smiled and told him that she would meet him out back soon. Jade then walked with Drake back to her room and once there she shut the door and he walked right to the closet and started to open it only to find it completely empty “Umm Morgan…you sure you are alright there’s nothing” and as he turned to look at her she leaned up kissing him again. Up on her tiptoes and wrapping her arms around his neck his arms went right around her waist holding her to him and starting to lift her up. Her lips were soft and tender against his as his were warm and wanting against hers. Holding her like that to his body he started to turn her pressing her against the wall pinning her body between his and the wall.
Feeling his body against hers again was all she wanted and right now needed. Knowing she had been wanting to tell him something for so long but knowing that with everything going on, she knew that he was right, the main focus is on getting her clear and then they can start to get things to what she wanted. As she felt his lips on hers again and starting to kiss down her jaw line to her neck she moaned out, her hands started to pull at his shirt “Drake” she gasped feeling his body press more to hers right where she felt it that night in the wine cellar and then again that night in her room. She thought about all the times where they came so close to just throwing caution to the wind and feeling him like this again was bringing back the feelings that she knew that she had and that they never left her heart or her mind. Though as Drake pulled away resting his forehead to hers he said “Damnit Jade, you’re driving me crazy you know that?” he asked leaning in kissing her again before starting to set her down “Now you know how I feel with you as well” and as she looked to him as she was now standing again he looked to her “Soon enough…we can focus on what you are going to do” bringing her hand up to his lips “But you have a car to get too” and as he kissed her hand he smiled to her leading her to the door with her little suitcase that she didn’t even unpack “I will see you soon” and as he smiled to her and she went to walk out she leaned up kissing his cheek one more time before walking out the back way to head to the car. Though right after she left, Drake sat there for a few moments, sending her a text and then thought to himself ‘What the hell are you doing Drake…you know that she is never going to choose you. Not after all this is done and Liam helps her out the most...don’t get your hopes up’ he said in his mind as he then left heading to his room.
A few hours later after Jade left Drake there in the room she was in the car with Bertrand and Maxwell and as she sat there just waiting to get out of the car knowing that she was tired she re-read the text from Drake “Safe travels and just know…I will have you one day. I hope you know that you are stuck with me, no matter what happens” and as she smiled to the message she then realized that they pulled up to Applewood Manor where just seeing the place made her shiver. Once out of the car they were greeted by a maid who when she saw Jade she looked shocked but soon was helping get their things and when she dropped one of the smaller cases Jade helped her. The maid couldn’t believe how nice she was being as she knew who exactly Jade was from the press. As they got to the room Jade realized that she was in the same room though as she looked to the door she saw it was a new handle. She smiled to the maid thanking her for all her help and tipping her rather well. Though as the maid went to leave she said “You know I never realized how nice you really are. There is something that you should know about the last time you were here” and as Jade looked to the maid who looked sad she asked “What should I know?” and as the maid looked up with tears she said “I realize now who you are and you shouldn’t have been pranked like that” and as Jade looked to her she asked again “What do you know?” and as the maid let a tear go she looked right to Jade as she stuttered “ I am so sorry. I played a part in that night” and as Jade looked to her she felt a wave of anger and sadness wash over her.
