Jade looked to Constantine and it felt as though time stood still “That’s all I need to know, why did you do all this to me and to Liam” and as she felt the tears starting to fall she soon felt Liam wrap his arm around her shoulder as she could feel her body shivering from everything that was happening. Constantine looked to her and there was sadness in his eyes and if she wasn’t mistaken there was a glistening of tears threatening to fall. “I…” he started as he started to sit up a little bit more in the hospital bed “After my diagnosis came back and I knew that with my health and time against me, I knew I couldn’t…wouldn’t be able to rule much longer. That’s why I passed on the role to Liam shortly after the social season started. My wife and children were the only ones that actually knew the real reasons to why I was stepping down so suddenly and I wanted to keep it that way. I never wanted to burden Liam so fast with this responsibility but I knew that I didn’t have a lot of time on my hands. When Liam talked about going back to New York to be with you…and the hard times that were centering on Cordonia and our enemies seeing a weakness in Cordonia’s leader, I had no other choice.” Jade looked on and listened as Liam continued to hold her shivering body, looking back at him only once when Constantine mentioned him going back to New York to be with her “I had to act fast, and once I realized that I may not be around long enough to help Liam take over, I had to secure Condonia’s future in any way that I could” and as he started to take a few more deep breathes Jade took this moment to speak up “By having a photographer make me out to be someone that I am obviously not, by invading my life and my space, and dragging my name through the mud and making it seem I was not good enough for Liam” she said through a shaky breath as she started to grip Liam’s hand a little bit more. She could feel the anger, the hurt, the embarrassment rolling over her again as though it just had happened. “Lady Jade, it was clearly obvious how much my son felt for you and given that choice I knew that he would ask you to be his Queen in a heartbeat. Which I have to admit while I have a chance that you have impressed me Lady Jade but that doesn’t change the fact that even if you impressed me and so many others that you would be any match for him compared to Madeleine. Thanks to her being betrothed to Liam’s brother she has endured every situation in preparation to being Queen it was the only right choice” he said starting to take another break.
Jade looked on knowing that since day one she has been compared to everyone else instead of being looked at as good enough just how she was. “I could have learned, look what I have learned already from the short time that I have called Cordonia home” she said as her voice came out as a whisper in the wind. Constantine looked up to her as he witnessed Liam leaning in and kissing the side of Jade’s head “I…I have no doubt in my mind now that you could have handled it but what was needed to be learned would have taken time and it would not have been accomplished in time. Something that you don’t have behind the confidence, approachability, loyalty and dedication is that of experience and in the eyes of our enemies, that would show a weakness that can be determined as a fatal notion. I had already lost so much to our enemies, I knew I had to take care of everything while I could, everything in my power to make sure that my family and Cordonia were safe. So, I took the steps that I had to for Liam to choose Madeleine. She was the best hope that we had to keep my family and Cordonia centralized and running smoothly. She had to be picked over you…” and as he looked to her she couldn’t hold it in “But it wasn’t just me, you forced Olivia to leave as well didn’t you?” she asked as she started to let a few more tears fall while Liam still held her. She could feel as he did the way that he was tensing up and feeling strained to not say anything. “Yes. Yes I did have her sent away, she is far too rash to be on the throne, especially with the recent findings that were brought to my attention about her family history. I sent a letter for her to leave. It wasn’t until I found a letter that was signed by you expressing your feelings to someone that I knew I could use it to the advantage in order to make this happen” and as Jade looked on in horror realizing that Constantine found the letter that she wrote previously she looked down to the ground feeling her heart racing so fast in her chest she thought it was going to pop right out of her chest.
As Constantine continued to admit to everything Jade felt her mind and her heart breaking with the words that she was hearing. She knew that in and around everything that Constantine was doing all this to protect Liam and as she looked at him again she couldn’t hold back and as she looked down to the floor of the hospital room that was now silent she took a deep breath and as she fought back the tears she let the truth ring out “I know what you thought you did was the best for Liam, and Cordonia and I know that what you’re going through is not easy” and as she closed her eyes she let out a low sigh “I…I lost my father to cancer so I know that desperate times comes desperate measures to make sure that your loved ones will be okay when that time comes if it takes you over. I can’t forget what you did and I honestly may never fully accept an apology with the hell that I have been going through, but I can say that I am sorry that you are having to go through this and that I do understand why you did it. I know that I will forgive you someday but in the meantime I need you to help me make it better” she said as she looked at him as she let tears go freely at the revelation of her losing her father. Liam looked on to her in shock as he had no idea and as he brought his arm around her even more he leaned in kissing the top of her head holding her to him as he reached in and wiped her tears away “I…” and as Liam went to talk, Constantine cut him off “I…Lady Jade I am sorry. I had no idea that you had lost someone so dear to you. You are extremely gracious in just stating that someday you could forgive me” and as he bowed his head Lade Jade heard a small sniffle come from Regina and as she looked to her she could see the sadness in her eyes, the same that was in her mom’s when her dad took a turn for the worse.
Jade looked back to Constantine “Like I said I can see myself forgiving you but right now I can’t. I know that though your actions were completely misguided you did it out of love for your son and your country” though as she went to continue she could sense Liam starting to tense beside her and before she had the chance to continue Liam spoke up “I…I didn’t want to believe you, that you of all people, could do what you did to us, that you…you were the mastermind of the hurt and pain of the woman I can for so deeply, and forcing me to take someone else’s hand in marriage. I never thought…” and as he started to trail off Jade started to take his arm in her hand trying to calm him. Constantine could see the anger and the pain that was written all over his sons face “Son please, the crown weighs so much, but I never meant to hurt you, it’s just, I couldn’t afford to put you or Jade’s happiness above our people. You will soon find out for yourself that you have to make sacrifices, no matter what it might it cost. Being King you have to make those choices, and be able to stand tall by them” and as Constantine continued Jade started thinking about what he was saying and as she did she thought about what life with Liam could possible come too and the decisions that he would have to make, would she be strong enough to stand next to him even as she knows how she feels about him? Though as she snapped back to reality as she heard a deepness in Liam’s voice something that she had never heard before as he said “No you are wrong…you act as though you didn’t have a choice but you did and you made a decision as to what kind of King….what kind of father you wanted to be in that moment. Well father…here is mine, I love Jade, I will never deny that. If you wouldn’t have pulled this little charade and interfered I would have proposed to her that night. I may not have been able to stop you from hurting her behind my back but I can make this right. As King of Cordonia I am placing Lady Jade under my protection and will keep her safe, no matter how you feel about it. She will be right under my wing no matter what happens. I will help her undo all of these wrongs that you have brought upon her and as your monarch, I am commanding you do that same to help us” and as the words rolled off of Liam’s tongue Jade couldn’t help but be stunned at the sudden outburst of anger that Liam was holding in before. As the two men stared each other down Jade leaned in and pressed a kiss to Liam’s arm as she was still holding him as she was afraid that if she let go he might step further to his father.
Constantine finally broke the eye contact and looked to Regina who nodded and then looked back to Liam whose eyes were a dark blue and not the normal bright ocean blue, they were filled with fire, rage and determination. “Very well Liam I will do as you ask and do anything I can to help” and as he then looked to Jade she nodded and thanked him before he continued “For what it may be worth, I am deeply sorry about what I did and though I cannot personally come forward to clear her name as this admittance would shake the faith of the people’s view on the crown, I can’t do that to you Liam. But I do know to get things right, you will have to find Tariq but I unfortunately don’t know where he is. I encouraged him to leave but I have had no contact since he left. I do promise you that I will do what I can to help but right now I do need to rest” and as Jade started to look to Constantine she let go of Liam’s arm and approached the bed slowly. As she approached she knew what she had to do and as she lifted her hand gently placing it on his shoulder she said “Thank you. I do hope you well and bounce back from this horrible situation. I would never want anyone to go through what I did. Please get better” and as she looked to him and the tears started to threaten again as she remembers telling her dad to get better she soon felt Constantine place his hand up on hers that was on his shoulder he looked at her and gave he a soft nod as she then turned and walked to Regina “I know it’s not my place, but if you need anything…please don’t hesitate” and as she nodded to Regina she saw the small smile form on Regina’s lips as she started to head out of the room with Liam.
Just as Liam and Jade shut the door to Constantine’s room Liam pulled Jade into a tight embrace, hugging her right there in the open and not giving a single damn about anyone seeing “We did it Jade, now we just have to find Tariq” and as she was hugging him she soon felt the tears hitting her eyes again and as he looked to her she said “Yeah, it will great to finally get this done and over with” and as she then looked down Liam used his fingers to tilt her head to look at him “I…I never knew about your father and I am so sorry that you had to go through that sweetie” and as she looked to him she nodded her head as she started to think about her dad, and seeing Constantine like that just brought back all the memories and even the ones that he still didn’t know. Liam held her to him a little bit more starting to rub her back “Are you alright or do you need a minute?” he asked as he kissed her forehead gently “No I am alright. I just want to get back to our friends” and as she looked to him faking her smile deeply as she felt her heart breaking thinking about the past she soon felt Liam’s soft lips on hers kissing her gently. She kissed him back but not with everything in her heart but as he pulled away and looked right into her eyes he said “I know that I will never get to meet your dad but I want to make him proud, I want him to look down at you and see that you are being taken care of. Wither it be me in the end or someone else, I just want you to know that I am here and I meant what I said, no matter what happens you will be under my wing because I am never going to let anything happen to you again” and as she looked to him and could see the honesty in his eyes she smiled to him leaning up and kissing him sweetly again “Let’s go back” and as he kissed her lightly again he soon then started walking her back out to the SUV to head back to the where they were staying.
About thirty minutes later the black SUV pulled up outside, Liam excused himself to make a phone call as Jade walked into the hotel and immediately seeing her friends in the living space. As soon as she walked in Hana was right by her side wrapping her into a hug so tight Jade thought that she was going to crack her ribs “We are so glad that you are back, we had no idea what happened” and as Jade hugged Hana back she started to look over her shoulder seeing that everyone was right there. Drake was the next one to walk up as Hana let Jade go, and as he approached he could see the tear stains that were on her cheek and he finally asked what most of them were thinking “Did you talk to Constantine?” and as she looked to him and nodded she filled them in on the confession and the illness that has taken over him but made them swear not to tell a soul as she wasn’t even supposed to know. As Jade continued she looked to Olivia who was red with anger in her face “It all makes sense now…if it wasn’t for him, I could have been” and as she started to trail off but then shook her head “I guess it doesn’t matter now, he is dying and Liam must be heartbroken” and as she looked around everyone agreed with her and soon they were all sitting there as Drake then spoke up “That…that is a lot to take in Morgan” and as she looked at him and nodded she took a deep breath “Just have to find Tariq and then I can finally get my freedom back” and as she started to feel her head starting to pound a little bit at the lack of sleep that she has been getting she soon heard Maxwell speak up and talking about that they all should get out of the house and get something to eat. Although Jade just wanted to go up to her room and relax she knew that she wouldn’t be able to sleep anyways so after a few more moments they all started to head out to the food market, even Olivia was with this time.
Once at the market they all began to look around at the various foods and for a while Hana had to help almost all of them pick out the food that would best suit what they were looking for and soon everyone had food in front of them and enough so that Olivia admitted that she was actually having fun with them. But as they all sat around the table in the middle of the market eating Maxwell stood up and walked over to Drake and asked if he could speak to him alone, and as they wondered off both Jade and Hana looked at one another knowing that things still were a little tense from the Savannah ordeal. As the boys were gone the girls started to talk about what was to be coming next with finding Tariq and the next few stops on the tour, but Jade was not really paying attention too much as she soon found her eyes getting heavy and for a brief moment her eyes closed. “Don’t you worry little princess, soon you will never have to worry about who you are going to be with, because all of them will be gone” the voice rang in her ears as she tried to fight the man off her. “JADE WHERE ARE YOU?” she heard Liam calling out for her and as she went to yell it was too late as two shots rang out close to her head and then a third and fourth as she then opened her eyes seeing both men laying there on the ground struggling to take in any breaths. “See Jade…you will soon be all alone and Cordonia will lose everything and it will be all because of you” and as she looked down she soon found herself kneeling between both Liam and Drake and as she looked up to the man standing there she saw the gun aimed right to her “Say hello to you parents” and as the gun went off and she screamed she soon jerked. Jade brought her head up instantly as she felt a hand on her shoulder and saw Drake kneeling right there beside her and Hana on the other side, Olivia and Maxwell were standing in front of her as she realized she was now on the ground right by the table that they were just sitting at “Morgan are you alright, hey it’s just us” and as Drake looked to her she could see the scared look in his eyes and as she tried to take in a few more deep breathes she looked around and saw the fear on her friends faces, even Olivia looked scared. “Yeah just dozed off a little bit and had a dream about clowns, I am really not fond of them” and as she looked around and started to laugh it off she looked to Drake and he could see right through her lie as she slowly shook her head as to beg him not to say anything “Well we are just glad that you are okay, when you slipped of the bench I immediately called for the boys to come back because you were not responding to me” and as Hana hugged Jade slowly and softly Jade hugged her back “I am alright I promise” and as she forced that smile she soon started to stand to finish the night with her friends.
About two hours later they all decided that it was time to head back and as they began to walk Jade found herself looking over a garden of beautiful flowers “You all go on ahead I will be there in a moment” and as Hana hugged her and asked her if she was sure she nodded as Maxwell took Hana’s hand and started to walk her away. Though as she started to look out to the flowers she started to feel her heart starting to race at the memories that flooded her mind that day and how she knew she wanted to be strong for Liam she felt herself breaking down little by little with the memories. Soon though as she was standing there she felt a hand rest on her shoulder and for a moment she tensed before she realized she knew that touch “Alright Morgan, what’s going on? That look when you came back I knew that something else was going on, and not just about Constantine, and then you dozing off and the scared look on your face…don’t keep me in the dark babe” and as she looked to him she could feel the tears starting to hit again and as she looked down she tried to hide it but she couldn’t as she started to explain “Seeing Constantine really brought back some bad memories, ones that I thought I would be not over by now but be able to handle by now” and as she looked down she let out a slow breath. “You know you can talk to me about anything” and as she looked and nodded at him he slowly started to walk her to a little sitting area in the middle of the garden that she was just looking at. Once seated he turned to look at her “I am all yours Morgan” and as she looked to him she nodded “This might take a little bit” and as she looked at him she saw him still looking to her with the gentle look of his eyes.
She took a deep breath and started to know that this will be a good thing to get off her chest no matter the outcome. “When I was ten, I was such a happy little girl, the glint in my parent’s eyes, they loved me so much and they showed it every day. My mom was told that she would never have kids and so needless to say I was everything to them, and they were everything to me. That summer right after I turned ten my dad was diagnosed with Stage 3 brain cancer, he didn’t even have a chance, the treatment failed time after time, and by the Christmas of that year, he couldn’t walk, he could barely talk, he was slipping away day by day. When he first found out he made me promise that I would continue on, to help my mom and to find a love like theirs, to do anything I wanted to do and to not give up on my dreams. By the time New Year’s Day came around, he was on a breathing machine, he barely responded to anyone, not even my mom. I knew that he wasn’t going to last long but I prayed and prayed every night” and as she looked down letting the tears go she then continued feeling Drake’s hand never stopping the soft gentle stroked on her back “The first day back after Christmas break, January 6th I didn’t want to go back to school but my mom made me remember the promise that I made to him. So I went and it was a good day, I saw all my friends again, I was auditioning for a dance piece in our school production of the Wizard of Oz. I was so happy that I tried out that when I got home and raced through the house I was stopped right in my tracks as I saw my grandparents sitting in our living room, my mom in my grandmas arms. I didn’t even get my backpack off before my grandfather pulled me into his arms and that’s when I knew my dad was gone” and as she started to let the tears go more she started to sense that Drake was still just looking at her intently and listening – something that she doesn’t think Liam really let register.
Jade looked to him and then continued “He had passed away that morning right after I left for school” and as she closed her eyes and let the tears fall she whispered “I never got to say goodbye. It wasn’t until his funeral that I was able to and I promised him that I would go on, that I would do as he asked and that I would look out for mom. I hated myself that I didn’t get to say a proper goodbye or tell him that I loved him” and as she started to cry a little bit more. She soon felt Drake starting to wrap her in his arms but a few minutes after she continued “After a few years, my mom stayed true to her promise and she found love again with a man named Jim and he was so good to her, and to me, he never wanted to replace my dad but he brought me under his wing and he made my mom so happy. He even proposed to her after talking to my dad’s parents. They gave the blessing as they knew he would treat her just as good as my dad did. He was the greatest step dad that anyone could have asked for and seeing my mom so happy again after losing my dad it filled me with so much happiness and faith that she was going to be okay” and as she took a moment to regain herself she started to try and sit up but soon let her head fall again “Right before graduation Jim and mom surprised me with a new car so I would be able to drive myself to college instead of staying in a dorm. It was a huge surprise and I never had asked for anything before. We went out to dinner that night to celebrate the coming days events, but it wouldn’t play out to be that amazing. The day of Graduation after mom took pictures like she said she always had to, I had decided that instead of driving to graduation with my mom and Jim I would carpool with a friend of mine and my cousin, the one I lived with. We were all so happy we were about to embark on an amazing journey and we were all going to be going to the same school once we graduated. As time clicked by I kept searching the stands as I sat there in the field of caps and gowns, and I couldn’t find them anywhere. As the ceremony started I thought maybe they were in the stands behind us and I just couldn’t see them, but something felt off but in that moment I didn’t want to think anything of it. After the ceremony and the caps had been thrown I waited with my friend and my cousin to see if my mom and Jim would come out and they never did. I headed back to the house panicking and I had every right to be because when I got there…it was deja vu` all over again. I walked into the house and I saw my grandmother and uncle Mark sitting there and before they could say anything I knew they were gone.”
Jade felt her heart beating faster and faster reliving the moment she closed her eyes and finished “They had been driving to get the ceremony when a truck driver ran a red light and smashed right into them. My mom was thrown from the car and died at the scene. Jim was trapped in the car for over an hour as they tried to get him out but they didn’t get to him in time as his injuries were too severe. On what was to be one of the happiest days of my life, turned to darkness within a few hours. Their funeral was the following days and I vowed to them both that I would continue on and I would live my life. I lost three parents in the span of a childhood, and then my life just spiraled after that. I lost my grandmother and my grandfather, I dated a guy that didn’t understand why I wasn’t letting him in, he tried to push me so much that it completely turned me off to letting anyone in. So after I graduated from my generals and my associates in photography I moved out from my uncle Mark’s place and moved to New York, I wanted a fresh start, to live my life like my parents wanted me too…but seeing Constantine today, it really brought back everything that I went through and I wanted to be there for Liam so badly but I couldn’t stop thinking about my parents” and as she started to look down feeling the guilt inside of not being strong for Liam she soon felt Drake wrap his arms around her and started to hold her close to him “You have nothing to be worried about, Liam is a strong man and he can handle this. What you went through….god baby I thought losing my dad was the hardest thing I ever went through but you…you lost not one but three people that cared so much about you and in such a short time” and as he held her he began kissing the top of her head gently just cradling her in his arms with no intention of letting her go.
They stayed sitting like that for a few more moments as Drake just let Jade cry on his shoulder and in his arms as he felt his heart breaking for her, knowing the pain that she went through and how he wanted to take away her pain so much. After a few more moments Drake finally looked down to her and saw that she was starting to close her eyes as he mentioned that he should get her back. Without even asking or hesitating he lifted her up into his arms and started to carry her back to her room. The whole way there he began thinking about how she explained everything and opened up so much to him just that night and wondered if Liam knew everything or just about her dad. The thoughts continued to race through his mind and he wanted so badly to take the pain away from her but he knew that she still had a road to travel before he could take her away. Once to her room he laid her down in the bed and started to remove her shoes, getting her tucked in and warm. He didn’t want to leave her but knew that he couldn’t stay here not with the notes that he had been getting, he knew that he should keep some distance so he leaned down kissing the top of her head and whispered “You are strong and you need to know that you are loved. I will see you in the morning” and as he leaned in kissing her lips just softly he heard a soft little moan escape from her before he turned and walked out making sure to lock her door before shutting it.
As Drake stepped out he literally ran right into Madeleine who was standing there with her arms crossed over her chest staring him down like a hawk “Countess Madeleine what are you doing?” and as he looked to her looking rather annoyed than anything she smirked and said “I could easily ask you the same thing…what were you doing in Jade’s room” and as she looked to him there was an anger in her eyes “I know that you and her have been spending time together and I want to know what is going on. Are you and her together or something?” she asked as she stared him down. Drake looked to her and chuckled “How in the world could I be with her right now, she is trying to clear her name and obviously so she cant be with Liam” and as he looked to her she laughed out loud “You honestly think that no one sees the way you look at her and how you do anything to help her…what are you a lost puppy or a man in love…cause the way I see it…you love her don’t you?” and as she looked to him as if to study his every move and every reaction “Madeleine with all due respect, shouldn’t you be more worried about Jade stepping in and taking Liam from you than if I have feelings for her” and as she looked to him her lips formed a straight line as he knew now that he has gotten to her. “Listen Drake, I am going to be with Liam no matter what happens. If Jade knows what is good for her, she will forget about Liam and just go on with her life. Maybe even fall for the commoner that wants to be her prince charming” and as she started to look at her hand examining her nails she then continued “So come on Drake, you can’t hide that look. I have seen you and her together a lot, walking together rather closely if I may add, and if I am not mistaken you and her snuck out about what three or four times now” and as Drake started to get even more irritated he looked to her “What’s your point Madeleine?” and as she started to take a step to him she placed her hand on his arm and he immediately pulled it away “My point is, the whiskey drinking commoner is falling for a lady that obviously loves someone else, why else would she be trying to clear her name. Going with him to the hospital and being by his side, I know that they have been seeing each other too. So my question is why are you waiting for someone that doesn’t love you?” and as she looked to him she could now see the anger and hurt that is in his eyes. He couldn’t hold back anymore as he chuckled “Think what you want, if Jade chooses Liam then so be it, I just want her happy, I would do anything for her” and as he looked down she smiled and let out a little laugh “Just the words I wanted to hear. If you don’t want Liam finding out about your little secret rendezvous, I suggest that you change Jade’s mind…about everything. Get her to leave Cordonia, get her to leave Liam and your secret will stay safe. But if not…” she started as she leaned up whispering “You might as well kiss your precious friendship with Liam away, and if you don’t I will make sure to do it myself, and believe when I say this…you have no idea what I am capable of” and as she leaned to him she kissed his cheek “Do the right thing Drake…I mean after all…you wouldn’t want Jade to be heartbroken would you?” Madeleine stated as she started to walk away leaving Drake to stand there thinking about what the hell he is going to do.
Back in Jade’s room she lay there sleeping soundly for a little bit after feeling Drake lay her down. She knew that he had left but she knew now that she couldn’t sleep, she didn’t want to sleep. But as the time ticked on she knew that she had to do something to keep her awake. She texted Drake with no response, texted Maxwell with no response and soon found herself walking around outside. Though as she did she started to think about the day that had just happened and she knew that she had to make a choice. She thought about how Liam responded to the news about her father and then how Drake now knew everything and as she thought about everything she could feel it in her heart that she knew what she wanted, and who she wanted. As she walked back towards the room that she wanted to be in right now she knew that this was it…she was going to tell the man that she was falling for that this was it…this was the moment that she had been waiting for but as she started to bring her hand up to the door to knock she could hear voices inside. Silently she pressed her ear to the door and heard two voices and both of which she knew “Maxwell you don’t understand I can’t take it anymore. I can’t do this anymore. Leading her like this will only hurt her…she would hate me if she found out the truth. Knowing what I did and what I agreed to…I just don’t know anymore” and as she started to hear the words flowing from the man that she was about to tell everything too she soon heard Maxwell “You have to tell her, she will be devastated if she finds out any other way. I know Jade and she is not going to take this lightly” and as Jade could feel her heart racing knowing that she didn’t want to hear anymore but knowing that she had too, she stifled a sob that was forming as she started to listen a little bit more “I want to tell her but I don’t want her to think that this whole time it was just a ploy…but maybe it’s just best to let her go…she deserves so much more than all this bullshit…more bullshit that I would be supplying to her as well if I let this go on” and as Jade heard the voice that once calmed her and soothed her, she didn’t know if it was the truth or her exhaustion catching up with her but she couldn’t stand around anymore as she turned and literally ran back to her room.
“Drake, you have to be honest with her about how you feel. Who cares what Madeleine said, you love her and you want to be with her. I know that right now it’s hard but you already lost her once. You can’t make that same mistake again. Do I know who she wants to be with? No I don’t but you can’t let Madeleine’s little threat break down what you feel for her” and as Drake turned and looked to Maxwell as he was pacing the floor “You’re right…I have to tell her…everything from Madeleine, to how I am feeling and everything I want with her. I love her…and I don’t want to lose her” and as he started to head out of the room knowing what he had to do he soon stopped feeling his phone going off and as he looked to the screen he saw that Jade had already text him once before but the new message left him standing there frozen to the floor “Don’t worry about me anymore. I will be fine. I am going to clear my name and I am going to do everyone a favor…including you. I am either going to leave or I am going to choose Liam. Don’t worry…you don’t have to wonder anymore about what I am feeling. You don’t have to worry about me finding out your ploy to let me go. Just know I thank you for everything. But soon you won’t have to worry about me. Goodbye Drake” and as he read the text over and over from where he was standing feeling his heart shattering into a million pieces as he fell to the floor to his knees and soon sitting just outside his bedroom door he ran his hand through his hair and even as Maxwell left and he told him that he just wanted to be alone he sat there, and sat there and sat there until around 1 AM and he couldn’t take it anymore. He stood up and started to head down the hall, gripping his phone he charged right up to her door and began knocking.
On the other side of the door Jade heard someone knocking and as she dried her eyes again not knowing if it was Hana or Maxwell that was behind the door knowing that she had text both of them she started to walk to the door hearing the knocks becoming more urgent. Though as she reached for the handle unlocking it she opened it and gasped when she saw the one person that she just told her goodbye too “Drake…what are you” and before she can even finish he waved his phone at her and said “Over my dead body is this goodbye” and without even hesitating he reached out to her cupping her cheeks in his strong and warm delicate hands and leaned in pressing his lips to hers in a deep searing passionate kiss which caused Jade to go completely weak in the knees. She felt him starting to walk her into the room and kicking the door shut as he reached back and locked it before returning his hands to her. Drake continued kissing her not even giving her a moment to catch her breath as he started to turn her and pushing her against the wall. She let out a mix of a gasp and a moan as she felt him pressing her body against the wood panels of her room where she started to cling to him as though her life depended on it. Between the kisses that he was giving her, the way that her body was molding to his and the way his hands trailed her body with no intention of stopping as they continued to light a fire on her skin. As his lips started to trail down her neck she lost all sense of everything that just happened as she started to claw at his shirt, he didn’t stop one moment even as he reached back over his shoulder and pulled his shirt up and off his body leaving his chest to press against her. In all the moment she soon realized that her robe had loosened and she knew that she only had panties on under as she had changed the moment she sent him the text, she didn’t care at all the moment that she felt his lips crash down to her chest starting to kiss above her breasts, kissing hard and sucking her skin as if to claim her as his. As she went to reach for him he grabbed her hands and pinned them above her and she whimpered feeling his lips leaving her skin “Was that text the truth, you are saying goodbye to me?” and as she looked at him and felt her breathing skipping and her head spinning she looked to him as she shook her head “No I…I just” and before she could continue she gasped out as she again felt his lips cascading over her lips to her neck and then down to her breast again. His hips remained stable as he was now balancing her against the wall.
Drake took his hand and started to slide it down as his other hand held her hands above her head, he slide it down over her perfectly shaped breasts that were going against her own judgement as they became achingly sore and tender to his touch “Tell me you are ready to say goodbye, to walk away from me …and I will do it for you…but if you can’t” and as he trailed off he started to slide his hand into her robe starting to massage her breast in his large hand, cupping and stroking over her excited nipple. Gripping it with his thumb and his index finger until she gasped out “Drake!” and as she tried to pull her hands away he looked to her “You have to answer me first…do you really want me to walk away from you, leave you alone to be with Liam, or to go home” and as he looked to her through her exhaustion she could make out not only the red hot desire that was piercing his eyes but a hidden notion of sadness and regret. “Drake…I only sent that…” and as she started to talk she soon felt his hand sliding over her stomach as he was still balancing her to the wall. “Oh shit” she got out as she felt his hand start to go lower and lower starting to slide between them as he was now teasing her over her blue lace panties. “All you have to do is tell me to stop and I will. Though as he laid her down she soon sat up in the bed looking at him as she started to fix her robe and running a hand through her hair “Now do you care to tell me what the hell this text was about” and as he asked her that and looked her right in the eyes she looked down to her lap. “I….I heard you talking to Maxwell…I heard you talking about your ploy and that I was going to hate you, so my mind went a little off the deep end and I just thought that you were wanting to let me go so I thought that I would make things easier for you” and as she looked to him he shook his head and leaned in kissing her again pulling her into his lap “I am never letting you go…Madeleine can threaten me all she wants but I am not going to just let you go” and as Jade heard Madeleine’s name roll of Drakes tongue she snapped her head to look at him “What the hell does she have to do with any of this?” Drake took a deep breath before he explained everything to her about what Madeleine had said though leaving out the part that Madeleine knew how he felt and by the time that he was done she was furious. “That conniving little…” and as she looked at him in horror at the way she was talking she looked down again. “Why would she care if we hang out…that just means I am doing as I was told, staying away from Liam” and as Jade looked to him he shook his head “She wants you out of the picture completely and told me that if I didn’t do something to get you to leave she would make my life a living hell…but I didn’t care. I pulled Maxwell into my room to talk to him about it but I knew by the time that he even left my room that there was no way in hell that I was going to let you go again” and as he started to look to her eyes she could feel the sadness that was just dripping from his eyes as she leaned in and kissed him. Once she pulled back she looked to his phone “May I?” she asked as he handed her his phone and as she skimmed through the messages seeing the message to Maxwell and then seeing the one that she sent to him she quickly deleted it “I…I don’t want to say goodbye Drake…I could never, I just thought that’s what you wanted when I heard you” and as he looked to her searching her eyes he couldn’t help it as he leaned in and kissed her again, but this time he whispered “Good cause I am not letting you go Morgan…not now, not later” and as he kissed her again he slowly started to lean her back onto the bed where they stayed like that for a few hours, stealing kisses and talking about everything and finally came to a conclusion that neither one of them was ready to walk away.
Later on, Drake slowly pulled himself out from under Jade as she had fallen asleep on his chest. Knowing that he didn’t want to leave her he knew that he had to play it cool for a little bit around her to make sure Madeleine thought that he was doing as she asked. They had talked a little bit about it that they would keep things on the down low and that Jade would continue to talk about leaving especially around the girls. Though Drake didn’t like the idea of having to try and stay away from her he knew that he had to keep her safe. As he leaned in kissing her cheek one more time he looked to her and wished her sweet dreams as he knew that she had not been sleeping very well as he then dipped out of the room. Not even twenty minutes after Drake left her room Jade ended up sitting straight up from that same dream that was now on repeat from before. As she looked around and saw Drake gone she looked to her phone ‘Sorry I left sweetheart but I am still going to do anything I can to make you safe. I will see you soon. Keep your head up beautiful. –Drake’ and as she read the message over and over she realized that she was crazy to think that she was ready to walk away from him and as she knew that she was not going to fall asleep she decided to get up and take a shower knowing that it might help her calm down. Only then after her shower was she able to sleep for about another half an hour before again waking up in a cold sweat with her heart beating fast and the tears pooling around she knew that she may never get this dream out of her mind again
