So, I know I've been super quiet on here for the most part, and I'm sorry these chapters have been taking so long, but I'm still here and I'm still going to finish this story! It's still important to me and has been a part of me for quite some time. However, updates will still be less frequent than they used to be.
It's felt somewhat bittersweet lately, because this all began almost as an alternate reality to run to when my true reality became too much for me, but now that my life and reality have improved significantly, including getting a medical issue under control and more hours at my job, this story no longer feels like it's all I have. I think what's always attracted me to writing at a young age is that while you can't always control your reality, you can always control what happens in the stories you write. When writing, you already have an idea how it's all going to play out no matter how tense or unpredictable things are are in-story for your characters, and you can rest in that knowledge and security. But now I want it to be an enrichment for me, rather than a simple escape.
Thanks again to everyone who's followed this story this far! I don't know when the next chapter will be up, but no worries, it shall return. I also want to be more active around here in general, though there will likely still be quiet periods. I might even start a blog with drawings of my story characters if I'm brave enough, haha. We shall see...
