After a couple more days fighting the Rangers and Scrozzle’s bots failing to defeat them, I approached Master Evox with a plan. “Let me take a crack at designing a bot. I have some interesting ideas, and they’re guaranteed to at least last longer than Scrozzle’s,” I explained.
“Hey! It’s not my fault, it’s all Roxy and Blaze’s fault!” Scrozzle tried to shift the blame. While those three argued, Evox turned his attention to me.
“I’m listening,” he said.
I smirked. “See, it’s all about finding the right…combination,” I started. After I finished explaining my plan to him, he ordered Scrozzle to follow my instructions. After his protests were shut down by Evox’s threats, he reluctantly complied. “First, we’ll start by modeling the head and body after the Generation 12 Energy Bot, so it can absorb the Rangers’ energy attacks but instead of immediately firing it back at them, it’ll store it to use when needed, whether for a defensive attack, offense, or simply to increase its power,” I told him.
“You’re asking a lot…” Scrozzle replied hesitantly.
“Can it be done?” I asked firmly.
“It’s not impossible.”
“Then do it. If this bot doesn’t work, we’ll try another.”
Scrozzle only sighed. “Next, it’ll have the chainsaw arm of Final Attack Bot for its right arm, making it extra sharp and its left arm will be Dumbell Bot’s but we’ll give that part magnetic abilities so it can snatch the Rangers’ weapons. Finally, its legs will be from General Shifter’s Generation 16 Hyper Bot but with engines to give it a speed boost and a jump boost. Got all that?” I explained.
“Yeah. Like I said, I don’t know how well it will work with all that but I see where you’re going with it.”
“How long will it take?”
“A little longer than normal, and we’re going to need more Morph X.”
“Then Roxy, Blaze and I will go get some,” I said as I turned to the two. “I’ll distract the Rangers. You two get the Morph X.” They were about to protest but once again, Evox immediately put a stop to it. I teleported out first after I morphed. Then, like normal I masked my voice and summoned the Tronics. They started terrorizing the people of Coral Harbor and not too long after, the Rangers showed up.
“This ends today, Wolf Ranger,” Red said.
“Like I haven’t heard that one before. When are you guys ever gonna learn? You can’t beat me. Master Evox will escape the Cyber Dimension and then no one can stop us from taking over the world!”
“Why? Why are you siding with Evox? You’re a Ranger, and you’re not an Avatar,” Red commented.
I’m not choosing to side with him! Ugh I wish there was some way I could let Devon know it was me.
I froze for a moment. Red took notice and grabbed me. “Who are you?” he asked. I fought out of his grip and shoved him back.
“Who I am and who I was doesn’t matter. Wolf Saber!”
“Beast-X Saber!”
The Red Ranger and I charged at each other with our weapons. “You don’t have to do this,” he said.
I know! I don’t want to, Dev. Please help…I don’t know if I can do this on my own…there has to be something you recognize about me. We’ve been close friends for over a year now. I don’t want to hurt you again…
I ignored him and pushed him back. We fought with our sabers for a little before I managed to get the upper hand. I struck the Red Ranger with one of my finishing moves.
“Moon Beam Strike!”
He got knocked down and demorphed. “Devon!” the other Rangers exclaimed and they quickly finished off the Tronics and rushed over.
“He’s out cold. He could be seriously hurt. We need to go back to base,” Yellow said worriedly. Blue turned to me.
No! I-I’m so sorry Devon…please be okay…
“This isn’t over, Wolf Ranger,” Blue said angrily.
“We have the Morph X,” I heard Roxy over the comm.
“Good. Get it back to Evox. I’m finishing up here,” I told her.
“You guys are weak. You’re lucky I have other things to attend to right now,” I then told the Rangers before teleporting out.

Back at GB…
“Is he gonna be okay, Nate?”
“He’ll live. He may be sore for a few days but he’ll be okay.”
“Next time I see the Black Ranger…” Ravi said as he clenched his fists.
“Easy, Ravi. If this mystery ranger really is another person and not an Avatar or bot, there’s still hope,” the Commander responded. Ravi sighed and left the room.
“Ravi…” Zoey started but Nate stopped her.
“Let him go, he’ll be fine. I could use your help…”
Suddenly, the alarms interrupted Nate. “Commander! The Avatars are attacking with a new bot in sector B24!”
Ravi came running back into the room. “Ravi, Zoey, it’s up to you two,” the Commander said and they nodded.
“It’s Morphin Time! Activate Beast power!” they called in unison. Then, they rushed to the scene.
“Woah…that’s a different robotron,” Zoey commented upon seeing the new bot.
“This is the Generation 28 Attack Bot, also known as your end. Tronics, get them!” Roxy ordered.
“Hold on…generation…attack bot…Ravi, we’ve got to be careful,” Zoey mentioned as they fought the Tronics.
“Why? It’s just another one of Evox’s bots.”
“This is not one of his normal ones, though. Remember in Ranger history, the RPM Rangers fought Attack Bots that had similar names? Plus, I think this one is some sort of weird combo of various Attack Bots.”
“I remember that now. We can still beat it though,” Ravi replied as he ran at it. “Transport Beast X Blaster!” he called before shooting at it. However, the Attack Bot absorbed the blaster energy. “What the…how?” Ravi stopped, confused.
“Kill them!” Blaze ordered and the bot charged up an energy blast.
“Ravi, look out!” Zoey called as she ran over but they couldn't get away in time and got hit with the blast. They were sent flying back and demorphed when they hit the ground. “We…need Devon,” Zoey said weakly as she sat up.
“I agree…let’s get back to HQ,” Ravi replied. They stood up but before they could retreat, the Black Wolf Ranger showed up.

“Leaving so soon? You haven’t even seen half of what my Attack Bot can do,” I said with a small chuckle.
“You…” the Blue Ranger said with anger, glaring at me. “Activate Beast Power!” he exclaimed and morphed again.
“Ravi, we can’t fight them without Devon…we have to leave,” the Yellow Ranger tried to reason with him as she morphed too.
“I don’t care about the robotron, Roxy and Blaze! The Black Wolf Ranger is going to pay for hurting Devon!”
“I would say I welcome the challenge, but you’re no match for me at all. G28 Attack Bot, get the Yellow Ranger. I’ll handle him. Wolf Saber!” I ordered and the bot obeyed.
“I won’t let you get away. Gorilla strength!” Blue said as he grabbed me and tossed me to the ground. I groaned but got up.
Note to self…don’t get on Ravi’s bad side.
“Ha! Is that the best you can do? I’ve seen high schoolers fight better than you,” I taunted. I saw steam starting to come off Blue. The two of us kept fighting for a minute. I had to admit, he was a lot stronger when he was like this but I was able to hold my ground.
No, he’s overheating…gotta stop this…
I glanced over at Yellow and saw she was on the ground. “Jax…I could use a carrot,” I heard her say. Just as the bot was about to finish her with its chainsaw arm, blaster fire hit it from out of nowhere and it stumbled back. “Devon!” the Yellow Ranger exclaimed with surprise. Two animal bots had come with him too. The blue gorilla ran over to the Blue Ranger and grabbed him. The yellow rabbit gave the Yellow Ranger a carrot, while the Red Ranger looked directly at me.
Thank goodness you’re okay, Dev!
I looked right back at him and for a moment I thought I saw a hint of fear or anger but it quickly disappeared. Then he turned to Yellow. “Are you okay?” he asked and she nodded.
“I’ll live thanks to you. We need to get Ravi back to base so he can cool down,” she replied and the Red Ranger agreed.
“Cowards!” I called.
“This isn’t being a coward. It’s called living to fight another day,” Red replied before he got in the car and they left.
“We need to go after them!” Roxy said.
“No. I know where their base is. I have a new plan, but we’ll need more Attack Bots, which means we’ll probably need a lot more Morph X. Scrozzle isn’t going to be happy, but if Master Evox thinks it’s a good idea too, he’ll have to deal with it,” I replied before teleporting back to the Cyber Dimension.
