Doing nothing but checking the consistency of Mayor Corth’s signature is the daily activity of Terry for almost a week. His employer didn’t even ask for coffee or scan this and print that. It was all just- look at this and never leave the office till lunch break, return later to do the same and end the day at 6:20 pm. Lucky for him the food in the canteen taste too good that he forgets how boring his job is.
Days got slower as he continued to do the same thing until that evening before Sunday. He left the office at 7:10 pm because he fell asleep while doing something next to nothing. Terry immediately wiped his drool that was hanging on his cheeks and he organised some pens and papers before leaving as fast as he could. He was thinking that the town hall might be closing and he is now locked inside. When life starts to be fine and normal, it falls apart again because he heard people talking outside the backdoor.
Terry just wanted to use the back door, minding his business until he heard his name. And he didn’t want to overhear their gossips but the door was opened enough to hear them arguing. Wolfgang warned the mayor that he won’t dig another grave. Toms admitted that it would be nice to have a new face in town since its getting too quiet. An unfamiliar voice came to speak that suddenly silenced all. He just said some respectful words and they settled. About ten seconds passed before he began proving why they are all stupid and he finds no problem in the situation unless the new neighbor remained physically and mentally unwell.
