After lunch, me and Kira decided to head back in school to walk around. I still had that Spencer guy on his mind. I literately can't get his face out of my head and that stare he gave me. Kira told me that that was the first time Spencer has ever looked at anybody before like that and I wonder why it's me. Maybe it's because i'm new? Or maybe Spencer doesn't see me as a threat? Who knows. I want to ask her more about it, but I know she wouldn't really have a clear answer. She already told me that Spencer is like a closed book with a lock and chain on it. I guess that means not only is he hard to read, but he never opens up to people.
"Hey, do you want to go check out what the FF are doing?" Kira asked me.
I nodded, kinda curious about where the FF hang out and what they do after lunch since they seem to not hang around outside with everybody else for much long.
First, Kira took me back outside to the basketball court. There, I saw a bunch of guys playing basketball. I looked at each guy, not really seeing the FF.
"Where are they? I don't see them." I said squinting my eyes as hard as I can.
"There's Jericho right there." She said, pointing to the tall guy that had his shirt off.
I followed Kira's finger over to the tall guy and saw him making a basket. Yup. That is Jericho indeed.
"After lunch, he always goes to the basketball court to play basketball. I guess it's a sport he enjoys doing. Who knows." She said, shrugging.
"C'mon. Let's head back inside." She said and we both walked back inside.
Next, Kira took me to the computer lab where they have tables and tables of computers set up for each student to work on their assignments on. In there, we saw a couple kids including Seth. He was busy playing on the computer.
"This is the computer room obviously. Seth likes to spend his free period playing games on the computer. Since he's a genius, I know it'll be hard for him to stay away." She said.
I nodded and then the both of us walked over to the library which was our last stop.
"And here's the library. Inside, you can see Spencer and Eliza talking at one of the tables in there." She said, pointing.
I followed Kira's gaze to the table where Spencer and Eliza were sitting at.
"I see, but I don't get it. I thought that the FF were inseparable so how come they're each doing their own thing?" I asked.
"Well, they kinda ARE inseparable, but they sometimes like to go off and do their own thing after lunch. Just because all four of them share a common goal to scare people, doesn't mean they each don't have their own thing that they enjoy that the other doesn't enjoy like Jericho likes basketball, but Seth doesn't. He prefers being on the computer." She explained.
I nodded as I watched Spencer and Eliza talk.
"I get it so does that mean Spencer and Eliza like hanging out in the library?"
Kira nodded. "Seems that way. I never see them pick up books. I only see them come into the library to talk about who knows what."
I nodded again, trying to make a mental note of this until I saw Kira heading into the library so I followed after her.
"Ah~ The library!" Kira said, stretching out her arms.
"This library is the favorite place of anybody who likes books."
I smiled softly. "I like books..." I noted.
Kira looked at me and smiled. "Good then this might be the perfect place for you."
I nodded then looked over to Spencer and Eliza once more. That's when I saw that Spencer was staring at me once again. Oddly enough, I started to feel my face turning red.
"Hey, are you okay?" Kira asked.
"Huh?" I said, looking at her.
"Your face is red." She pointed out.
"Oh." I said then quickly covered my face with both of my hands.
Crap. I forgot. Vampires don't blush, I thought.
"Anyways, I've been meaning to ask you, how are you liking Sorin Academy?"
I took my hands away from my face once the redness went away then I turned to Kira and smiled at her.
"It's...cool. I mean, it's definitely different than what i'm used to." I said, nodding.
"Oh? What are you used to?"
"Well....for starters....I used to attend a human high school."
Suddenly, Kira's eyes widen and she gasped.
"YOU USED TO ATTEND A HUMAN HIGH SCHOOL??!" She shouted so loud that practically everybody in the library heard and they turned towards us.
We both looked around the library and smiled nervously then apologized before talking again.
Kira quickly grabbed onto my shoulders. "Tell me. Tell me how you were able to survive a human high school." She said.
"Well....actually..." I said then I slowly glanced over to Spencer to see him staring at me again. I started to feel my heart pounding in my chest.
N-no. I have to calm my beating heart. I can't let any vampire hear it.
Finally, I looked back at Kira. "I mean, it wasn't THAT difficult. I was able to pass as a normal high school being." I said, nodding.
Kira nodded also then pulled away from me. "Alrighty then."
Then she looked at her watch. "I have to get to class now. That means i'll be leaving you alone. Feel free to do whatever you want. Just don't get into any trouble okay?" She said, smiling.
I nodded, smiling also. "Of course not. You know me."
Kira chuckled as she smiled. "Okay. See you later." She said then left the library.
Finally, I let out a sigh of relief. Now I have free time to do whatever I want.
"Gosh. That was more difficult than I thought." I said then I started to chuckle myself.
I looked around the library until my eyes landed on Spencer again and he was yet again staring at me. That's when I quickly left out of the library. I closed the door behind me then slid down onto the floor, feeling my heart pounding in my chest again.
"I'm not sure why my heart keeps beating like this. It only happens when I see Spencer staring at me." I said then sighed.
"I have to be more careful. Vampires can hear pulses and hearts beating. They would definitely know i'm not fully vampire. This is gonna be way more difficult than I thought."
