After the tour, Kira took me back to my room so I can unpack before classes start. I was pretty nervous about the classes since I wasn't sure what they were going to be teaching, but Kira assured me that the classes aren't hard. I trust her even though I just met her. Still, everything is becoming a little overwhelming and that's when I started to think about my parents. I wonder how they're doing and I wonder if they miss me. I know I promised to call whenever I can. I want to show them how independent I am.
Surprisingly, the classes weren't all that bad. They weren't like normal human classes where they teach you English and Math and Science. These classes taught you about the knowledge of vampires before us and what to do in certain situations. They were pretty unique and interesting.
Finally, lunch rolled around. Me and Kira decided to sit outside with everybody else. I took out my brown lunch bag and opened it up to start pulling out stuff when I noticed that all Kira pulled out of her brown bag was two packets of blood. Then, I looked into my bag.
Oh. That's right. Vampires don't eat human food. Kira will definitely suspect something if I ate this right in front of her, I thought.
I quickly hid my brown bag under the table and looked at Kira. She looked at me and noticed I didn't have anything.
"Oh. Not hungry?" She asked.
I'm assuming she means hungry for blood so I shook my head.
"Nah. I'm pretty good right now."
Kira nodded as she picked up a packet of blood and tore it open.
"Well, alright. If you become hungry, I can share. It's no problem." She said with a smile.
I nodded. "Thanks." I said then started to look around the courtyard when I noticed some very interesting people standing near the big tree.
"Who are they?" I asked, not taking my eyes off of them.
"Oh. Them. They are the Fearsome Four." Kira replied.
I looked at her, confused. "Fearsome Four?"
She nodded. "That's what everybody calls them. It's because they're really intimidating and a little scary."
I couldn't help, but to snicker.
"Scary? You- I mean we're all vampires. We're already scary as it is."
"I know, but those guys are BEYOND scary. Like, if you mess with them, you better be prepared to hand over your non-beating heart."
I looked back at the 'Fearsome Four', not really believing that a group of people could be that scary.
"I know you probably don't believe me, but it's the truth. I had this classmate who stood up to them and they..." She trailed off.
"They what?" I asked.
Kira sighed. "They...sorta...scarred him for life. It was so bad that he transferred out of here."
"Wow..." Though, I still can't really believe any of this.
"Anyways, i'll tell you about each of them. You see that girl? Her name is Eliza Sheppard. She supplies fresh blood for the group and to anybody at this school, for a price, though. The goofy looking guy that has his hood on his head is Seth Tucker. He's the group's computer genius. He has the ability to hack into computers and steal files. The tall guy next to him is Jericho Hayes. He's the second in command to the group. I guess you can say he's the 'muscle'. Last but not least is the guy who looks like he hasn't smiled in years. His name is Spencer Forrester and he's the group's leader. He's the guy that you most definitely need to watch out for. He's the type that doesn't hesitate with stealing your heart and I don't mean that in a good way." She explained.
I stared at the Fearsome Four as Kira explained each and every one of them. They all don't really look that scary or intimidating. Except for that Spencer guy. Now I most definitely believe that he likes hurting people. I stared at the group for a little while longer till I noticed that they were starting to head into the building.
"There they go. They normally don't stay outside for too long. It's really not their 'scene' to be around a group of people at lunch." Kira explained.
I nodded as I watched them go by in a line. They didn't really notice me or Kira until the Spencer guy glanced over at me and it felt like my heart stopped. Now that i'm seeing him up close, he really does look scary and the look that he's giving me just screams intimidating. Though, I couldn't find myself looking away from him. I felt myself staring into his bright red eyes and it wasn't over till the group disappeared into the school.
Finally, I let out a deep breath and looked at Kira. She looked at me a little surprised.
"Wow." She said.
"What?" I asked.
"That was the first time I saw him looking at anybody like that. Normally when he sees someone staring at him, he would give a mean look that says not to mess with him, but I didn't see that. That look seemed pretty unusual. Like...I dunno. I can't really explain it. Spencer isn't an easy guy to read. He's definitely not an open book, but more like a closed book with a lock and chain on it." She said.
I stared at Kira, not really sure what she's saying or what's going on about me and this Spencer guy, but now i'm curious about him and this 'Fearsome Four'.
