Tyler was so close to my face I could feel his warm breath against my skin, his greenish-blue eyes pierced my soul, and slowly traveled down to my lips.
Was he going to kiss me? In all our years of friendship, we have never had such an intimate moment as this.
God, please kiss me, he slowly moved away, SHIT!
"Ready to go", he said, and just like that, all high hopes that I had were gone.

I couldn't do it, I couldn't kiss her without knowing how she really felt about me, about there possibly being an us, I couldn't kiss her without knowing how 'I' really felt about her, I like her... fuck!
I might even love her but, I needed time to gather my feelings, my thoughts, I needed to tell her how I felt. I wanted to get out of this crowd, to be somewhere quiet,
"Ready to go", I said, seeing the disappointment in her eyes.
She replies hesitantly, "Umm... yeah, sure, why not! " I just wanted to take things slow.
