“Wake up. Raven, wake up.”
As I opened my eyes, Evan was shaking me awake.
“Why did you wake me up?”
“It's already noon, and you haven't woken up. We thought you were dead or something.” he said
“Well sorry that I enjoy sleeping.” I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Two things that people should never do, steal MY food, and wake me up.
“Well, if you don’t mind,” I said while looking around. No one else was in the room except me and Evan, “I am going back to sleep.”
“No no no. No you aren’t! You have duties today. We are going to show you around the pack and later you will meet everyone.”
It shouldn’t be too hard. I was going on a stroll and then I was just gonna meet a couple people. Easy.
“You should know, before we start the day, the pack area stretches across 100 acres of land. Most of it is just woods, but we do have about 150 families in the pack.”
Cue a jaw drop.
This was definitely not going to just be a stroll.
“Ok, fine. Can you get out so that I can shower and change?”
“Yeah sure, once you are done, just meet up outside your room in the hallway. We still have to show you the packhouse.”
After showering and getting dressed in some jeans and a dark red flannel, I left my room for the first time and saw the boys waiting for me.
Looking around, the hall was huge. There was room after room and it looked like it was never ending. It reminded me of a really chill hotel.
While showing me around, there was a movie room which was hugee, and even an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. By far my favorite place was the first floor kitchen and living room. The TV was huge and the couch was so comfortable.
They explained that some of the higher ranked wolves lived in the pack house to help the alphas and protect them. Not that they needed it, I mean they were huge.
After we finished the pack house tour, I was already starting to get tired.
When we walked outside, they explained that they had a “village-like” area where the houses for the rest of the pack were.
They also had a fighting area. Maybe it's like Fight Club?
We walked around and looked at all of the houses. They were so organized and they looked the same. Some had decorations outside but it looked like a condo development. There were also so many of them. A lot of the pack members who were out and about looked at me like I was crazy. Ummmm…. I’m not even going to get into that haha.
“This is the first time that we have had a human on the pack lands so that's why they are staring at you.” said Xander.
“Oh. That gotta be weird for them.” I hope that the boys noted my words were dripping with sarcasm.
Everyone just got really quiet. I felt bad.
“I’m sorry. It's just a lot to take in and I’m kinda freaking out.”
“It's ok, we get it. Well we don’t but we are going to give you as much time as you need.” said Theo.
Xander put his arm around my shoulders. I loved his touch however his arm weights so much! Like I could do a workout with this arm. It could just replace my 15 pound weights.
When he noticed that I was slowly melting to the ground over the weight of his arm, he removed it and chuckled a bit.
Luckily no one else noticed.
We finished walking around most of the house areas and we finally arrived at the training area. They had a gym inside their house, but there were way more people here.
Right as we walked up, some guy got punched in the jaw and almost knocked into me but Ryan pushed him away in time.
There were three boxing spaces and mats set out for practice and sprawling.
It was really gruesome. There was blood on the ground and people were grunting and groaning everywhere, not in a good way.
It was hard to keep my eyes on the fighters.
“These are the fighters of the pack. They have a training session right now. Soon you will have to take some lessons.” said Ryan.
Haha. He thought that I was going to willingly get my jaw broken every other day. Um no. I am not training with a werewolf who could kill me from an innocent push.
“I think I will skip out of that. I don’t want to die yet… I mean I wanna live my life a little bit longer.”
“Not to scare you, but since you are the luna of the biggest pack in America, people might try to come after you and even though we will protect you through anything, it can't hurt to know some moves. We can train you ourselves if that would be better?” said Xander.
“Yeah that is better I guess.” I can’t believe this. I get it, I do, but I feel my life will never be easy anymore. It will never just be get up and go to work then go home. Now I have all this stress to be a good luna for the pack and stay strong for everyone including my mates.
I just hid my expression because I hate when people baby me.
We left and my feet were killing me. It was already sunset now and I am starving!
So far I have had cereal for breakfast and two granola bars throughout the tours.
When we got closer to the pack house, I was already sweating and breathing heavily.
The boy must have noticed because their eyes glazed over as they all looked at each other.
After they were done with whatever werewolf thing they were doing, Xander picked me up bridal style. All of the other boys looked so pissed.
When we got in the pack house, they asked me what I wanted to eat.
I didn’t know what they had or normally ate for dinner but I just said pizza because that was always a pretty safe option.
While eating, everything was pretty quiet. It was a comfortable silence.
After going back up to whoever's room I was staying in before, I took a shower and then went back down to the living space.
“Wanna watch a movie?” I asked them all.
“Sure” they all answered.
After scrolling through Netflix, I decided that Disney Plus was the better option, so I decided on Mulan. They all groaned but I knew they would love Mulan. I mean who doesn’t love all of her woman power!
Xander was on one side of me and Ryan was on the other side. Theo and Evan were sitting on the carpet in front of my legs.
Halfway through the movie I started feeling tired so I leaned on Xanders shoulder. After getting to the part where they find out that she is a girl, I think I fell asleep. I felt someone carry me up to the room and they all cuddled around me and said goodnight.
