As I look around my room, things start to meld into one another. I can’t see straight. I stumble out of my bed and on the floor. It is so hard to move. It feels like all of my limbs are carrying ten pound weights. I try crawling out of my room but find myself looking down at very large shoes.
They are nice shoes. Very clean.
I look up and see… wait. I rub my eyes. Theo? What's he doing here?
“Theo help me… help meeee” I say groggily.
“Should we help her?” he says looking over my shoulder.
OMG. They are all here! I didn’t even realize that the other 3 were standing behind me! How did they get in and how did I not notice them!
“Well, this is the least we can do,” Ryan said, picking me up bridal style.
“How did you guys get in my house.” I look as serious while seeing doubles of everything around.
“That’s a story for another time. Let's get you out of here, shall we?” Evan said sounding less and less like a question.
Oh. I see how it is. They are kidnapping me. Think! How did they drug me? I didn’t feel any needles in my arm and I know for sure that they didn’t gag me with a cloth… That’s when it hit me. Vents. They put a sleeping drug on the edge of the vent in the ceiling so everyone would pass out. I swear I should be an FBI agent or something because that was a damn good conclusion.
“Mom! Dad! The vents! Don’t breathe the air” I said even though I knew that they had probably already passed out.
“Smart girl” hmmm so mystery guy actually talks? His voice was sexy and rough. Even though he was kidnapping me, I was almost ready to just hand myself over. Almost.
As they were carrying me out of my room I knew I had to do something. As I was passing my nightstand, I grabbed my lamp and tried to hit it on Ryan’s head. Again, I tried. I guess I overestimated myself because the lamp fell out of my hand right as I picked it up. I was losing strength in my muscles.
Stay awake! I tried my hardest to ignore the small black squares and stars that clouded the edges of my eyes. I tried focusing really hard on certain things. The wood on the stairs. The creaking noise that they made while we were walking down.
Just as I thought I could do this, I blacked out.
