"Good luck Rida, beat the crap outta them"
Octavia said as she reached them.Rida smiled and said
"Thanks Octavia, get better so you can join us next time, see yah", they began to climb and started to swiftly cross the trees.Octavia looked at Rida as she swiftly crossed the trees into the distance she realized she was staring and stopped.Octavia when back to her friends and saw Liam was looking at her with a smirk on his face, Liam asked "So what's your deal with Rida? hehe".
Octavia made a "what's wrong with you" face and said "first off its not like that, she captured us and made me fight alongside her and.....thats That".
Scarlet shrugged and looked back then got up saying "Whelp lets go help around maybe get some information on the plants or where we are exactly". Liam agreed as did Octavia, they helped a lot of families by moving water and food to areas where the wounded was from the fight.Octavia tried to forget about rida but she couldn't stop wondering if she was already to the ambush spot and fighting the terriorests.
She shook her head and set the water down and began giving some of the wounded there portions of water, many thanked her for taking the front and fighting off most of the men.She smiled at the attention and always said "Thank you for helping, everyone did there part".
Once the sun was setting rida and her crew returned with minor injures, they were successful with there ambush.Scarlet and Liam came back to there spot where they watched the sun come up, they decided to make it there little special spot to give information.Laim said "okay so we found out that we are on an Island surrounded by water, they call it The Nammu Isles and turns out there are many islands around us with other types of people but they all mostly speak shalanese".
.Scarlet nodded and said "to add to that this is one of three islands that know English".Octavia smiled and said "this is great info, but also I found out from an older woman that they came from earth a while back, it was suppose to be a exploration team but there ship crashed here about a hundred years ago".Liam and scarlet both looked at each other and said in usion "that's crazy", they both laughed at eachother for a moment
.They all split and went to dinner, Octavia went to sit by rida smiling at her friends.There food was handed out and Octavia loved the smell of beef, they had made beef tacos with rice.She was surprised they knew how to cook and they were amazing, Octavia devoured hers in minutes.
Octavia looked at the people then spotted Liam talking to that guy again, she really was just joking around, she did not want Liam getting attached to someone here before they would have to leave.She knew this was gonna upset him but he does not need a boyfriend he has to leave behind later on.Dinner went on for an hour before they all went back, but Octavia snuck off and gave her friends the "get yo ass over here know" look.
They looked at each other and shrugged, they went to there meeting place again and Octavia looked at Liam, it stung her to tell him this but it was for his greater good.Octavia said "aright so Liam, I'm sorry but I'm going to need you to step away from that boy, look I'm not trying to tell you what you have to do but you can not grow attachments".
Liam gave Octavia the "um what the fuck you say to me" look and said "um yea, don't tell me what to do and I was gonna tell yall earlier buuut he wants to come with us, turns out he wants to explore".Octavia sighed and said "Look we can not have a possible spy come with us and I can't believe you told him that we were gonna escape".Octavia knew this was gonna create big problems.Octavia said "great you created a loose end and a liability".
Liam just huffed and tried to explain "Look he's no liability and he is super nice and swears that he will commit to me..- I mean us, look you can't kill him or anything like that so what's the big deal"
.Octavia groaned and said "if he is a spy rida can kill me and yall ot just kill you and keep me alive to suffer, I mean yes I wont kill him but still".Scarlett was trying to pitch in but they kept arguing until scarlet had enough and pushed both of them over and said "oh my god yall are acting like babies and someone is coming over here".
One of the villagers came to get water in the well that was near them.They pretended to get water as well, Liam and Octavia gave eachother rude expressions and they went back to there tents.Octvaia finally reached ridas tent and opened the sheet to find rida with her shirt off,sport bra on; tending to her wounds.Octavia decided not to stare at the scars on her back and took her own shirt off but she had a sports bra on so she just jumped on the couch and relaxed enjoying the cool air.
Rida spoke up said "you have not asked", Octavia thought about her question and said "eh your business not mine". Rida seemed to be satisfied with that answers and went to sleep after she was done, in the middle of the night she saw Liam crouching on the ground.
Octavia gave him a puzzled look and saw the boy he liked with him, she gave Liam a "ima kill you later" look.They were trying to get her attention so she got up as quietly as she could and followed them into a huge bush that was hollowed in the inside, Octavia spoke first "What the hell are you thinking Liam? Your out of your mind, I am thinking or murderous thoughts right know".
The boy next to him widened his eyes and said "dam your right she is scary", Liam smirked and said "look he can be trusted and let him prove it to you".
The boy looked at Liam and pulled out a map with an escape route planned, Octavia said "this could be a ambush and they could be waiting for us".The boy name was Charlie and he explained the route to Liam and Octavia but she did not trust him but she decided to go with his plan. Octvaia went back to the tent and got some sleep.
The next morning she woke up to the face of a little kid standing beside her, "um can I help you?" Octavia asked confused. Rida picked her up and smiled "she's just excited for the holiday".She asked "what holiday?", rida said "thanksgiving".Octavia had heard of the holidays that earth celebrated back then but they never celebrated them anymore, she barley remember celebrating them.Rida carried the little girl out and told her to go prepare for thanksgiving,Octavia still felt bad about fighting with Liam but she tried not to think of that at the moment.She focused on the plan to escape and wanted to talk to rida about thanksgiving.
Once she was done discussing it she decided to go on a patrol with the others to explore the place a bit, she stared at the multi colored bushes and the different animals that scurred once they came there way.One of the animals that they seen baffled Octavia, it looked like a bunny but with six legs and a sharp horn on the top like a unicorn.
She wanted to ask what it was but she did not wanna seem stupid so she shut up.They were patrolling the outskirts of the territory making sure that there were no enemies pushing back on the lines.She saw another type of flying bird but it had four wings and black eyes,every animal was bigger and weird looking but she really wanted to know how to get one of those snake flying creatures.This time she felt the need to ask, Octavia asked a red haired lady "so what are those snake looking creature that can fly?".
The lady responded "They are called Sorhebi, one of the strongest flying creatures around and..", the head lifted a hand up as if there was something ahead .A loud thrashing sound along with a tiger like roar something was coming at them and it sounded angry and they all yelled "Foguta!".
A four legged long creature jumped out and snarled at them, it had orange and pink stripes on its tan body and it had a long snout and long sharp teeth.It charged straight for them and every one started climbing so Octavia did to, she got up to the top of the tree and everyone started jumping tree to tree as the creature started to do the same charging after them.
Octavia knew how to jump trees because she did it in her bunkers forest enclosure were they grew food and farmed animals.She got ahead of everyone and ran for her life until she heard a snap and a whoosh sound, the creature cried out and seemed to be struggling.
She jumped down to the ground and saw it got trapped in a net planted by the hunters, she saw how scared it looked and it whined and cried out as it struggled.She got a little closer to it curious how it would react, it tried to get away like it was longing for something, she saw its stomach and realized it was a mother
.She could hear tiny whimpers guessing it was the baby, she told the others to run back and to give her a knife.Some tried to object but after a minute they decided to run and when they were far enough she started to cut the ropes, the foguta just stared at her in curiosity and once it was cut own she just looked at her and in the direction of her baby.Octavia got into a fighting stance just encase the fuguta decided it wanted to feed its baby but the the foguta just seemed to nod then ran in the direction of the whimpers.
She decided to run back just in case it changed its mind, once she reached the the base she saw Liam and scarlet passing around at the entrance and strangely rida was there to, talking to the head of the patrol.They all looked worried and as Octavia slowed down Liam was the first to spot her and his eyes lit up and he ran to her and gave her a hug.
Scarlet peeled Liam off and hugged me, rida stayed back to wait for the nice moment to end so she could scold Octavia for almost getting killed.Once they stopped hugging Rida said "Um Octavia maybe next time think of Not Messing With A Fuguto! Very stupid of you, they kill you in the slowest way possible".
Octavia grimaced and said "well it did not eat me and I'm alive, and it had a baby so it was kind of cruel to keep it from it".Rida sighed and explained "yes but if it puts you in danger than the fuguto can wait because I don't want anyone to get hurt".
Octavia nodded and rida went off towards the tent, Liam stepped in front of her view and gave her a "I'm about to scold your ass" look.She rolled her eyes and Liam said "I swear your gonna get yourself killed and I am not planning your funeral, No Funerals For You!". Octavia held in her laughter and said "Yes mother I'm so sorry it wont happen again haha".
Liam smiled and looked around, then he said "okay tonight we have to leave and fast, we have an opening where the guards switch out and about 5 minutes before new ones take there place".Scarlet nodded and said "Alright I still don't really think this is the solution but hey as long as yall are safe".Liam smiled and hugged us both and said before splitting up "We are finally getting out".
