“Please don’t Tariq! This isn’t you…you would never hurt me! You would never do this to me!” Jade pleaded with Tariq who had just pinned her down on the bed and as he leaned in kissing her roughly he leaned in and said “Oh you have no idea what I am capable of my dear” and as he started to touch her roughly he ran his hand down ripping her shorts off and before she knew it he was forcing her legs open “Tariq please…please don’t I don’t want this” but before she could say anymore he reached up placing his hand over her mouth as he slid between her legs forcing her to engage in sex. Though as she pleaded with her eyes through her tears, he told her to shut up and let it happen. Though as she went to go scream again he wrapped his hand around her neck as he continued to rape her, squeezing tightly as she started to gasp for air and as she looked to him and her vision got hazy she let her body go limp.
Jade sat up instantly in bed breathing hard though as she did she then felt Maxwell’s hand on her shoulder waking her up from her dream and as she looked to Maxwell her eyes were wide in horror and she was a little warm and sweating a little bit from the intensity of the dream and the fear. “Hey, hey, you alright?” Maxwell asked looking at her with a worry and as she took in a few deep breathes she nodded “Yeah I…I am alright. Knowing that she couldn’t let it get to her knowing that she has a lot on her plate she started to sit up a little bit more as Maxwell looked at her worried but knowing that he wasn’t going to pry, but then explained that she would be meeting with Justin in a little bit. Though after a few moments Jade was finally out of bed and getting dressed and as Maxwell walked her to meet with Justin she could feel her head was racing – that felling emerging again like it did during the social season – lightheaded and dizzy and she didn’t really feel like being there at all.
The meeting with Justin lasted a few moments as he explained that she would be taking part in a Bachelorette party with a Q&A and a photoshoot. He informed her that she would have to plan something for Madeleine but he had already taken care of that. Though as the talk wrapped up Justin gave her an earpiece so he could help with any press questions and soon Justin left leaving her with Maxwell and Bertrand. Though Jade knew what she had to do today she felt in her mind and her heart that she was not in it at all and as she sat there as the brothers talked, she let her mind drift a little bit to the dream, no the nightmare that was brought to light last night. She knew that she was lucky that night because Drake came in but if he hadn’t he would have gotten away with it. Soon as she dozed off, her mind snapped right back to the nightmare- She couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t think, not about anything but the pain that he was inflicting on her as he continued to take what he wanted. Tariq looked at her and smirked “No one will hear you scream my dear” and as he finally let go of her neck she tried to scream but couldn’t with the pain that shooting through her neck “No one will save you from this, not Liam, not Drake, no one” and as he continued to force himself more into her she cried out trying to bring her arms up but it’s as though all the strength in her body had melted away. As she accepted that this was happening she closed her eyes and let the tears fall.
“Jade, Jade wake up” and as Maxwell shook her awake again, her head shot up as she looked around realizing that she was still with the brothers and as she looked to see the worried expressions she just shook her head “Sorry. I didn’t sleep too well last night” and as she looked to Maxwell he said “Jade what’s going on?” and as he started to then sit by her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder she actually flinched a little bit as she stated “Like I said, just didn’t sleep too well” and as she forced a smile, Bertrand cleared his throat and continued to speak about how she would have to impress Ana De Luca today with everything and as if on cue Maxwell, though still very concerned, got up and said “I have just the thing to help” and as he left Jade let her head fall to look to her lap “Lady Jade, please do be honest with me, you are having dreams well nightmares aren’t you?” Bertrand asked starting to place a gentle hand on her shoulder and as she let a few tears go she nodded “I just can’t shake them. I know that he can’t hurt me and I know that what plays out in my dreams never happened because of Drake but the fear that he could come back, it scares me” and as she looked to Bertrand who reached out to her with a tissue wiping away the tears gently he said “My dear, I know that I can’t stop your dreams but I can promise you something. You are never going to have to worry about being hurt, you have Maxwell, Drake, Liam, Hana, and you have me and we are never going to let something bad happen to you” and as he looked to her he leaned in kissing the top of her head “I may not be the greatest person in the world but I protect and care for those that I care about and to be honest…you have grown on me” and as he went to continue he was cut off by Maxwell coming back into the room and following him was the scurry of little feet.
“Maxwell what in the world is that!” Bertrand exclaimed as he watched his brother walk in with a small corgi walking behind him. “This, my dear brother, is the newest Beaumont, say hello to Chance” and as Maxwell looked to Bertrand who looked like he could blow a volcano with his mind, Bertrand grabbed his brothers arm taking him to the side to chat. Though as they stepped to the side the corgi walked right over to Jade jumping up into her arms “Well look at you handsome boy” and as she looked him over, petting him gently he curled up right into her lap. The brothers continued their talk and Jade overhead them starting to argue and that is when she spoke up “I will take care of him…you won’t have to worry about him Bertrand” and as they discussed it a little bit more they finalized it that Jade would be taking care of Chance.
The next hours flew by as Jade soon then met Hana in the boutique and Chance of course was a hit. Even when the other ladies came to dress he was the center of attention. Though of course Madeleine was not too happy she put on a fake smile to play nice. She soon began instructing the ladies to get dressed to match her theme of metallic for the bachelorette party. Madeleine sported a gold sparkle dress that of course was beautiful, Hana was in a silver dress, and Kiara was in a gold dress. Once Jade found the perfect dress in a gladiator style dress that hugged her body in the right places she offered to go with Penelope who didn’t get a dress in time, to pay for Madeleines dress. Jade knew that this would be the perfect time to take a look at her card if she could get a glimpse as she remembered the talk that she had with Bertrand before “Remember you have to find out if one of the ladies has the ending digits on their card. 6547 is the number that is shown on the receipt and do remember Lady Jade that you cannot rule out Hana” Jade let the words echo in her mind over and over as Penelope accepted Jade’s company to get the dress. Though as Penelope paid Jade was able to catch the last four that were not a match. After that it wasn’t long until Madeleine was shooing people out of the boutique to head to the first stop on her bachelorette stop for the day; an interview with Ana De Luca.
Once at Trend studio, all the ladies filed into the room, Ana welcomed them all with a smile and immediately when she saw Jade walk in she hugged her “It’ good to see you back in court” and as she started to look to her and seeing that Jade was holding onto a leash she looked down and immediately saw Chance “Oh my goodness who is this little handsome” and as Chance let out a little ruff Ana bent down to pet him. “This is my new travel buddy Chance” and as Ana just flowered Chance with pets and baby talk Jade looked over and seen Madeleine roll her eyes. Soon enough though Ana prepped the ladies for the photoshoot first, which she then complimented Jade for looking marvelous and Jade knew that Madeleine was fuming, but at that moment she didn’t care she knew that she was out to impress Ana, not Madeleine. As Ana started to get the girls line up for the shoot Justin rang through Jade’s earpiece which startled Jade a little bit because she did forget for a moment that she had it in “Use Chance” and as Jade quietly asked “Huh?” Justin explained that a pet would seem admirable and show a softer side and as Jade started to stand with Chance, Ana walked over petting Chance again “Who is a good doggy” and as Chance basically smiled up to her, Ana instructed Jade to hold Chance for the shoot and then again complimented her that she looked amazing with the light “Well I aim to please” and as they shared a laugh Jade could again see the anger spreading on Madeleines face but she hid it rather quickly once Ana was back at the camera.
A few moments later Ana started to do the interview, asking questions to all the ladies and all answering with dignified answers. Though as she was sitting there letting Chance sleep on her lap she overheard the question that Ana asked Madeleine about allowing Jade back into the court “Lady Jade has been drug through the mud by the press and I am not afraid to admit that what the press has said and done to her image is down-right shameful. Where is Tariq? Why is he not getting questioned about what happened? Why is it that Lady Jade has to face this heat that no one really knows what happened? What does the media have to say about him, and his stance in all this? I have yet to see a single note on him” and as Madeleine finished her questions Ana admitted that she had a new thought to think about and thanked her for her time. Though as Ana moved on to Hana, Madeleine started to walk past Jade though as Jade reached out taking her arm, Madeleine turned to Jade “Can I help you?” and as Jade looked to her she said “What you just said, I” and Madeleine cut her off “I said what I feel Lady Jade and nothing more. Do not read into this that this means anything more than just a wake-up call to the press. Hearing something like that from the future Queen is something that can change the tone. I didn’t do it for you, I did it for Liam and I and of course Cordoina, just as you should in your answers” and as she looked to Jade and then walked away before Jade could say anything, Jade looked down to her lap feeling her stomach lurching in a way that she thought it wouldn’t again hearing Madeleine call herself the future Queen. Though as she looked around a little bit she realized it was her turn and as she started to sit down Justin soon broke in again “I know that they are going to ask you about Madeleine, play nice is all I have to say. Remember that you have to be a face right now” and as she nodded and said “Copy that” she smiled as Ana began to sit back down. The first few questions were about her being back and how she is dealing with things, but then the big question came up “What do you think/feel about our future Queen of Cordonia?” Remembering what Justin just said and how Madeleine stuck her neck out basically, she took a deep breath and then looked to Ana.
“Well Ana, to be honest I really don’t know Countess Madeleine all that well, at least not on a personal level. What I can say though is that she is a leader, she demonstrates what is Cordonia and makes it her own. I can see why our soon to be King Liam chose her. She is a dedicated woman and is good for Cordonia. I would never talk bad about her as I do support Liam, and I can see that she is going to be a great Queen, a great leader and a great new vision to this amazing country. I would never hurt him and he knows that I will always stand in his corner, so I support his decision in choosing Countess Madeleine to stand next to him” and as she stopped her answer Ana was writing as quick as she could as she then looked around a little bit “Well Lady Jade this will definitely make a great re-write for the article that I am putting together. I thank you so much for your time and most importantly your insight” and as Ana began to pack up Jade soon heard Justin say goodbye too as he then text her the address to her idea for the night.
After packing up and heading back out again they headed to the place that Justin had found for Jade’s part of the party, and as they were all lead up to a roof top pool, it was known instantly that this was something new for all the ladies. Though after getting a few drinks and such they all seemed to start to enjoy the time that was going on. Having found that Kiara’s card was not a match she started to lose hope that she was going to find anything out tonight. Jade knew that she was on a mission to try and get a look at Madeleine’s card next and when the nice route failed she started to lose hope until there was a hand on her shoulder and as she jumped a little she turned and came face to face with Olivia “Whoa Olivia! What are you doing here?” she asked starting to smile for the first time really all day. “Oh you know I was in the neighborhood so I just thought that you would like to have a little intel of the information that I have gathered” and as they stood there Jade felt her mind racing and she knew that she would have to inform Olivia of the information that she had as well “Well I would like to find out anything and everything and I have news for you too. But why don’t you start” and as they started talking Olivia expressed that she found out that this goes deep farther than anything she had ever heard of and the person that was behind this went to great lengths to get it done. Jade knew already that it was a deep job and as she shared what she found out from the photographer she knew that she had to get a look at Madeleine’s card. Olivia told her that she would get the job done and as they all convened together again and the other ladies came back Olivia gave Jade a look and a nod knowing that she was going to act on it soon.
As the other ladies started to sit down together again Kiara looked to Jade “So Jade I have been meaning to ask you something” and as Jade looked to her and gave a fake smile it’s like she already knew what was going to be asked. “I know that you and Drake are close, what more can you tell me about him I would love to know what he is really…” and as Jade was feeling the anger starting to build up inside of her they were all soon distracted as Olivia stood up and as she did she purposely knocked over Madeleine’s purse forcing all the contents out over the ground. Jade stood up immediately as she saw her card go flying and as Olivia apologized to a rather angry Madeleine Jade walked over and started to squat down to help get her things off the ground though as she got to the card she picked it up seeing the last four 5323 – another one that doesn’t match. Jade gathered the rest of the things as Madeleine stepped in front of her “What are you doing?” and as Jade looked up to her from being down on her knees she stood up and said “I just wanted to help you get your things that’s all” and as she handed the things to Madeleine, she saw a shock over her eyes “Thank you…I suppose” and as she gathered her things from Jade she shoved them back into her purse “I think that it’s time to head out of this…place.” Olivia looked over to Jade and gave a wink and Jade shook her head signaling that it wasn’t a match. Jade started to look down to the ground starting to realize the only card that she has not seen was Olivia’s and Hana’s and as they all started to leave she felt a hand holding her arm back “Hey Jade…I just wanted you to see this” and as Jade turned seeing Olivia she saw in her hand Olivia’s card “Why are you showing me this…I knew it wouldn’t have been you” and as the shock hit Olivia she looked at Jade curiously “Why would you take away your own chance to be with a man you love” and as they looked at each other for the first time with a common realization Olivia smiled as they started to head out.
As all the ladies piled back into the limo starting to head to the place that Hana picked out Jade brought out her phone getting ready to text Drake but she was too slow as she saw that he had already sent her a text and as she opened it she smiled as she read “Hey you, just wanted to check in on you and see how things are going. I hope that you are not too bored but do let me know if you need to be rescued ;)” and as Jade read it again and chuckled she texted him back “So far, nothing really to report. Things are going somewhat smooth. Olivia showed up and helped me get a look at Madeleine’s card. Penelope is getting treated badly like normal and Madeleine, is well…Madeleine. I am about to punch Kiara in the face if she keeps asking me about you” she texted him back and as they started to round the corner towards the bakery she got another message “You know you are cute when you are jealous babe. I am glad that Olivia is there to help, and believe me my offer still stands…just call if you need me and I will be there. Keep your head up beautiful” and as Jade read that last text she smiled and felt the blush creeping up into her cheeks. As she knew she didn’t have enough time she brought her phone up and snapped a quick selfie sending it to him and as she did she soon saw the other ladies starting to get out. Knowing that she now needed to support Hana, once out of the limo she linked arms with her as they all walked in.
“Welcome ladies! I am Sharon, welcome to Baker’s Heaven. Over here you have our fondue selection that Hana chose and I do hope that you find everything to be amazing. If you need anything please do let me know” and as she walked away and the ladies walked towards the towering chocolate fondue fountain Madeleine immediately crossed her arms and sneered her nose “Hana…how could you choose this…are you trying to leave Cordonia without a Queen!” she yelled as she started to get right in front of Hana’s face. Jade looked to Madeleine and brought her hand up to stop her from getting any closer “What are you talking about Madeleine?” and as she looked to her Madeleine scoffed at Jade “I am allergic to Chocolate…if you were as smart as you claim to be you would know that now wouldn’t you Hana” and as Jade’s eyes got wide Hana started to apologize immediately “Madeleine I…I didn’t know. I am so, so sorry I…” and before she can even finish Madeleine turned away from her and told the other ladies to come with her and telling Hana that she should just go home for the rest of the evening. Though as Penelope and Kiara followed lead Jade and Olivia stayed behind and once they were gone Olivia spoke “That little lying snake…I have never heard of her having any allergies at all. I have seen her around chocolate before. Don’t let it get to you Hana” though Hana was already starting to clean up and as she turned, the tray that she was carrying tipped and spilt the drinks that she had out all over her dress. “Great I almost kill Madeleine and now ruin the night and my dress” and as she started to slump against the wall letting the tears go Jade immediately was by her side trying to comfort her “Hey the night isn’t ruined, forget her…you planned something amazing for her, it’s not your fault Hana” and as she continued to try to console her she had a thought hit her mind. She pulled out her phone and sent a text to someone that she knew would help “We are not going to let your amazing idea go to waste…just wait and see” and as she hugged Hana again and then started to help Olivia clean up a little bit.
About fifteen minutes later the bakery door opened and in walked Drake and Maxwell in tow, and the moment that Maxwell entered the bakery he went right to Hana wrapping her up into his arms hugging her to him and leaning in pressing his lips to hers for a quick kiss before Olivia could see anything. “Are you alright?” he asked her as he brought her to him again starting to talk to her about what happened. Jade looked over smiling to them as she then felt a hand on her shoulder “Hey Morgan” and as she looked back to him she smiled and didn’t care she wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him “Thank you for coming. I hope that you weren’t busy or anything and we interrupted” and as she was hugging him she felt his arms go around her waist again to hold her there to him “Never too busy for you … and of course the sugary goodness that I see we are going to be taking in” and as he chuckled she did too. But knowing that she didn’t want to let go she held onto him a little bit more starting to nuzzle as close to him as she could get in that moment knowing that she has been missing his hold, his lips, his presence. Though as they broke apart they instantly heard Olivia speak up “Well of course Drake had nothing else to do” and as Drake sighed pulling away from Jade he looked to her “Why are you even here? Shouldn’t you be licking Madeleine’s boot or at home plotting how to torture your next victim in your torture chambers?” and as he looked to her she chuckled “Not a bad idea…you want to volunteer to be the next soul I chain up” and as they had a stare down Jade stepped between them “Okay you two seriously we are here to support Hana, this can wait until a later time” and as they both nodded she then looked around “Speaking of Hana, where is she” and as she looked around Olivia turned her by the shoulders having her face a corner where Maxwell and Hana were sitting with Chance as Maxwell was leaning in whispering to her and she was actually smiling “Maybe she will be fine without us” Olivia said starting to cough a little bit and both of them looked up. Hana jumped up right away “Oh…I am sorry we should start with the fondue” and as she walked back she was blushing so red and all Jade could do was smile.
As they all gathered around starting to chat and share the fondue Jade picked up a strawberry and letting the chocolate drip onto the red luscious fruit before bringing it to Drake’s lips and as he took a bite their eyes connected and in that moment there was a deep longing that was there…knowing that if they could they would leave now. As Jade looked to Drake who smiled as he licked his lips she shook her head knowing that if she looked to his eyes again she wouldn’t be able to hold back. Soon enough they were all sharing stories from when they were kids and soon Drake confessed that it was him that caused the Great Palace Lockdown, from playing a game of hide and seek with Liam. He shared that he had hidden in an old laundry shoot and when Liam couldn’t find him they shut the palace down and it wasn’t for about three hours that they finally found him asleep in the chute. Maxwell laughed out laugh after hearing that “I can’t believe you are the cause of that, you are like a hide and seek legend” he laughed starting to feed Hana a pretzel. “Yeah it was me, and I have no shame. We still played it just never got caught” and as they all laughed Jade found herself thinking about what it would be like to be around Drake when he was a kid and as she looked to him he gave her a wink and she let her mind wonder. She started to look at him and the way that he smiled and the way that though he was having a good time he still took a moment to look over at her with that smile, or a wink, even one time he looked over and very carefully pushed his lips imitating a kiss to her. Jade could feel her heart just racing knowing that if she could, she would run away with him right now.
As the time raced on and the night was filled with laughter, even from Olivia, they were all sitting there just having some good old fun when Maxwell looked around and so non-secretly took a piece of angel food cake and threw it at Jade. Jade looked to him and said “How rude, you didn’t even put chocolate on it” and as she did the same to him but this time had chocolate on it, the piece then hit his face and Maxwell immediately declared a fondue food fight. Soon it was a battle of the sexes; Maxwell and Drake against Hana, Olivia and Jade. The fight raged on as Olivia was on a roll and even Hana got a few points in there too hitting Maxwell the most. As the battle waved on and Maxwell started to come at Jade with the cake she slipped to the ground looking to Olivia who was standing just off to the side and as she landed she started to rub her hip like she was hurting and Drake immediately went to her side kneeling down to her “Shit Morgan are you alright” he asked as he started to look over her to see if she was hurt but as Jade went to answer Olivia looked to her and nodded as she came up behind Drake and in a swift motion took the angel food cake that had a little dose of chocolate on it and shoved it to the side of his face and as Jade looked “shocked” she couldn’t help but start to laugh at the sight as the glob of cake and the chocolate just slid down his face “Really Morgan…was this all your doing” he asked starting to reach up and pushing the rest of the cake and chocolate off his skin. “Maybe it was…maybe it wasn’t” and as she continued to laugh he shook his head and started to help her up though as he did he swiftly leaned to her and lifted her up and over his shoulder “AHH Drake what…what are you doing” and as the others looked on watching the two of them, Drake started to walk right towards the fountain “Oh you know just getting a little chocolate bath ready for you” and as she tried and tried to get away he had a really good grip on her and as she reached down patting his butt she begged him to let her down but it was through laughs. “Come now Jade you know that I have to get you back” and as he started to laugh she squirmed again and as he lowered her down she thought for sure she was going to land in chocolate but instead was standing right there in front of him as he didn’t even care he leaned in pulling her close into a tight embrace. They didn’t seem to care one bit as even Olivia looked on with the knowing that there was something special there.
Before they pulled apart Drake whispered to her ear “You might want to keep your door unlocked tonight, I might just have to stop by” and as he smiled and gave her cheek a kiss he then pulled apart. But before she could say anything in response Hana started to walk over hugging them both “Thank you all again for coming and spending the time with me even though I know it probably wasn’t what you really wanted to do tonight” and as she smiled to him and then turned and even hugged Olivia she then went right to Maxwell who brought her into a hug as well “Of course you know I wouldn’t say no to seeing you and of course the free food” Maxwell said as he smiled to her leaning in and kissing her cheek. Though as the clock started to tick later and later Olivia took her leave telling Jade that she would be in touch if she found anything more and soon Hana looked to Jade and knew that look as she and Maxwell walked out of the shop leaving Jade and Drake there alone.
“Here let me help you clean this off” she said as she started to reach for a napkin and then reaching out and starting to wipe at his face and he started to do the same and as they faced each other, looking each other in the eyes Jade could feel the heat that was spreading from his body to her as they stood close to each other. Drake started to look at her as he cleaned off a little bit of chocolate that was right on her cheek and then he looked to her lips seeing that there was a little bit there and as he felt his heart beating faster and faster in his chest knowing that all night he has been wanting to do something he couldn’t take it anymore. In one swift moment he brought his hand up cupping her cheek and leaned in pressing his lips to hers kissing her tenderly and sweetly. Though as she pressed her lips to his again she started to bring her arms up and around his neck bringing him in closer to her as close as he could be. Drake let out a small moan against her lips as he held her to him even more and as he could feel inside that he couldn’t take it anymore he turned her to be against the wall lifting her up and pinning her there not even having a care in the world that someone could see. Jade ran her hands up into his hair as she kissed him again and again and soon as the kiss broke she felt his lips travel down her neck and to her collar bone. Her dress had slid up just a little bit on her thighs and Drake took full advantage of it as he started to hold her more against the wall with his hips and ran his hands to her thighs causing her to moan out into the air. He looked to her bringing one hand up and covering her lips “Now you can’t make too much noise unless you want the owner to come out here” and as she looked to him his voice was deep and husky and she could tell that there was a want that was embedded in the way that he was talking.
Jade looked to him and shook her head a little bit as she pressed her lips to his hand and when he lowered it and returned it to her thigh he pressed to her a little bit and as she bit her lip to stop from moaning out again he smiled to her and said “Hmm that’s my girl” and as he pressed to her again pressing their bodies to be flush against one another she started to run her hand up and down his chest as she held on with her other hand and soon her right hand was sliding between their bodies and soon was cupped over his lower half. Drake let out a moan as he leaned in kissing her neck and as she smiled looking to him again she said “Now who is being the bad one” and as he looked to her his eyes darkening he leaned in capturing her lips in a deep, rough, passionate and wanting kiss. “God Morgan you have no idea how bad I want you right now” and as she slid her hand over him a little bit more she gasped and said “I think I have a slight idea” and as he let out a very deep chuckle he claimed her lips again and for just a few moments longer the world just disappeared.
After another few moments and finalizing any cleaning, Drake walked Jade around trying to find the other girls and soon enough they found Kiara, Penelope and a very, very drunk Madeleine. As they got closer they saw that Kiara was trying to help Madeleine walk and that Madeleine’s shoes were missing. Drake looked to Jade as if asking if she really wanted to go with them and as she nodded he gave her a hug goodnight and left to catch up with Hana and Maxwell as he knew they would be around there somewhere. Jade walked over and immediately Madeleine started to laugh and as Jade looked to her seeing that she could barely even stand Jade shook her head but as the words flowed out of Madeleine’s mouth Jade was all but amused “It’s just so funny, sweet little Hana thinking that I was allergic to chocolate” she got out almost laughing the whole time and as Jade looked to Madeleine she saw red “You…you lied about that why the hell would you do that Madeleine after everything that she has done to try and be good to…” and Madeleine cut her off “Stop right there…you waitress…I am in control of Hana, I am even in control of you, if you like it or not” and as she took a staggered step to Jade poking her in the chest Jade looked to her and with the rage she was feeling with everything going on she looked to Madeleine and as she went to take a step she said “How dare you, you stuck up little bi…” but before Jade could finish Olivia stepped up and stopped her “Jade she is drunk…she is not going to remember this tomorrow. Come on let’s just go” and as Olivia started to try and turn her away Jade said “Just a moment” and as she looked to Penelope who now seemed to be having trouble paying for the cab Jade took in a deep breath and walked over “Need a hand” and as Penelope looked up she said “Yes please I…I don’t know why this isn’t reading” and as Jade smiled she said “Let me see your card” and as Penelope smiled to her handing the card to her Jade worked her magic and got the cab to be paid for but as she looked she realized this card was a different color from her other one at the shop and as she took a brief look at the card she felt her heart beat starting to increase and the hurt rush over her as she read “6547” a complete match to the last four that they were looking for.
Jade sat there for a moment trying to put it all together and as she started to get out of the car and handing Penelope back her card she looked to Penelope having a thousand questions already running through her head but knowing right now is not the time she said her goodnights and started to head off. Olivia began walking with her a little bit and soon Jade looked to her and said “Thanks for walking me this far but I think I want to take a little bit of a detour. I will be back to the train soon” and though Olivia who is usually the one that doesn’t care, she could tell that something was off and as she looked to Jade she asked “Are you sure?” and as Jade nodded her head she started to walk past the train and started to head down towards the small lake that was near there and started to sit down right at the edge pulling her knees into her chest and as she rested her head down on them she started to let the tears go. Thinking about everything that has led to this moment she now knew who was working against her and who was stabbing her in the back and to think that it was Penelope, someone that she thought that she could trust. She started to think about how maybe she couldn’t trust anyone anymore, knowing that it could have been anyone of them now and to find out it was shy Penelope it broke her heart. Though as she sat there, she knew that she wouldn’t be able to sleep right away, so after about another 30 minutes she started to pull out her phone only to already have six texts – four from Drake, one from Liam and one from Maxwell, including two missed calls all from Drake and one from Hana.
“Olivia just told me that you wondered off alone, where are you?” “Okay Morgan this isn’t funny, you never just go off…I am giving you five minutes to answer me” “Alright if you don’t answer me when I call I am going to come looking for you…I mean it Morgan” “I swear Jade, answer me please” Jade read the messages from Drake and then read the one from Liam “Jade where are you? Drake texted me and told me that you went off on your own. He said that he has already told you that he is going to go looking for you in a little bit if you don’t answer. I will join in on that and I will send Bastien out if I don’t hear back from you soon. Please let us know” Jade started to dry her tears a little bit starting to get up as she read the one from Maxwell “Umm just walking off is not cool Jade. You know that I am going to have to pull out my dance moves and embarrass you if you don’t come back soon. Seriously though…get back here! I am sorry I didn’t mean to yell through a text just please come back” and as Jade got up from the side of the lake she started to slowly walk back. Upon getting to her room she then text Maxwell and Hana back letting them know that she was okay and that she would talk to them later. She then got changed and started to sit on the edge of her bed and as she pulled up Liam’s message to respond she got another text from Drake “Alright that’s it I am coming out to find you. I swear Morgan you are scaring the shit out of me. You better be alright. I really don’t feel like going to jail tonight” and as Jade shook her head she opened up Drake’s message “Hey. I am in my room. Don’t worry I’m fine. I found something. Just come to my room in the morning with everyone. Will explain then when you are here. Night” and as she sent it to Drake she then sent another one to Liam telling him not to worry and she will talk to him soon.
Though it wasn’t even two minutes later as she sat there in her robe and shorts that there was a knock on her door ‘I swear if that is Bastien I am going to yell at him’ she said to herself as she started to get up from the bed and walking to the door. As she reached for the door Chance who had been brought back to the train some time ago with Maxwell and Hana was barking happily at the door. She looked down to him to shush him but he just continued and as the door opened she looked to the figure standing there and found those comforting brown eyes looking back at her “Drake? What…I told you to come over in the…” and before she can even finish her sentence his hand cupped her cheek and brought her to him leaning in and pressing his lips to hers for a sweet, tender kiss. She closed her eyes feeling her body start to melt into his, her anger and sadness starting to slip away as it often did with Drake. Too soon though he broke away and rested his forehead to hers “There was no way I was going to wait until morning, not when I got the text from what seemed like a robot version of you” and as he looked at her and she could see the sincerity in his eyes and then in the tone of his voice she knew that he really did care about her and that he wanted to be around her and with her at this time “I...” she started as she then looked down knowing if she looked at him anymore she was going to end up crying “I found out more information…I know who it was that used their card to hire the photographer” and as she looked back up to him she couldn’t stop the one tear that was falling. “Jade you know you can tell me, you are not in this alone” and as he looked to her she took a deep breath “It was Penelope” and as she looked to him the softness and sincerity was gone, Drake was now pissed. “Are you fucking kidding me right now” and as he started to let his voice get louder she reached up pulling on his black beater and pulled him into the room shutting and locking the door instantly.
“Yes it was her…her card number matched the last four. Believe me I am just as shocked as you are. But we can’t let our feelings get in the way of figuring this out and talking to her, which believe me I will be doing soon” and as she walked into the room a little bit more finally sitting on the edge of the bed again as Chance jumped up and started to lay down at the foot of the bed. Drake walked over to her and dropped to his knees and for the first time she realized that he was in a black beater and his grey sweat pants, taking in the formation of his arm muscles and the way that he looked so handsome just like that and even with his 5 o’clock stubble he was so attractive in her eyes “Jade” and as he was kneeling in front of her he took her hands “You are not going to do it alone…please promise me that you will have someone with you when you talk to her…I don’t want you to go at her alone…you don’t know who could be siding with her or if she was working with someone else” and as his caramel eyes shined up to her with the reflection of her room light bouncing off his eyes she found herself just nodding her head. “I mean it Jade, you are not doing this alone” and as his voice was a little bit more stern she reached out with her hand stroking his cheek “I promise I won’t go at her alone” and as he smiled to him a little bit but not her normal hurt the cheeks smile he looked up to her again as she said “Just think it means we are one step closer to clearing my name” and as she smiled a little bit more he looked to her and in his eyes she could see something switch.
Drake looked to her and said with a sweet sultry tone “Morgan I am happy for you believe me I am but…” and as he looked to her he then looked down. Jade raised an eyebrow to him a little bit as she said “But what” and he took a deep breath “What happens when your name is cleared and this is all over? I just…” and before he finished he pushed his body up to be right to hers capturing her lips with his and started to lean her back on the bed. His kisses were the hunger; desire filled…the ones that drove her crazy. She leaned back a little bit more taking in the weight of him on her body and she didn’t care. She loved having him this close and feeling him near her any chance that they could get. She started to run her hands up and down his arms and then to his back and sides almost as though she couldn’t get enough of him as she kissed him back, his hunger for her just radiating to her lips and through her body. “Damn it Jade” he whispered against her lips as he felt her hands sliding down and over his backside. “When this is over, I can finally tell you my decision” and as she pressed her lips back to his again she knew in her heart that she kind of already had a clue to who it was going to be. The one that was with her right now, the one that has always been with her “I can’t wait until this is over and you can finally tell me baby” and as he leaned in taking her lips with his one more time he then started to kiss her jawline leading to her neck “Mmmm I can give you a hint to the way I am leaning if you want me too” and as she let those words fly from her mouth he pulled back and looked her in the eyes “What’s that?” he asked as she looked to him and started to reach up cupping his cheek and then running her hands into his silk like hair “The side I am leaning to is to a man that has been with me every step of the way, that has never given up on me” and as she looked to him and their eyes met Drake couldn’t take it anymore as he leaned in crashing his lips to hers and as he didn’t even care he reached between them and opened her robe starting to push it off her, revealing her blue bra that held her perfectly shaped breasts so perfectly as he trailed his lips over the tops of them. Hearing her suck in a breath rather quickly he brought his other hand up and slid it up and down her side and then cupped her right breast as he continued teasing her with his lips over her silk like flesh. “God Drake, don’t stop, please don’t stop” she moaned out as she pulled at his beater he took the hint and pulled back removing it and then pushing his sweats down just a little bit as it was getting to be a little uncomfortable for him “Believe me I won’t until you tell me you want me too” and as she looked at him and saw the deep want in his eyes she knew inside that she wanted him so bad but knew that going all the way would cause some issues and as she looked at him she said “Maybe not all the way just yet but I don’t want to stop just yet either” and as he leaned in pecking her lips gently he smiled “I understand Morgan” and as he leaned over her again kissing her sweetly he let his hands start to roam over her body.
His touches were driving her to a breaking point as she soon couldn’t stand the heat that was burning through her as she started to take his hand and pushing it down to between where their bodies were connected. “I…I want you to touch me Drake” and as she looked to him meeting his eyes he could see that she did want him too and as much as he wanted too he knew that there was still so much to do. “God Jade hearing you say that makes me want to do things that I shouldn’t be doing” and as he leaned in kissing from her navel to her lips he then whispered “I don’t care, when all this is over, you’re mine even if just for one night, do you hear me” and as he said that his tone was a little bit deeper than normal and she could tell that he was fighting everything inside of him to not take her. “Is that a promise?” and as she whispered that back to him he looked to her eyes, smiled and leaned in kissing her tenderly “That my dear is a guarantee” and as he leaned in again kissing her and allowing his body to press into hers a little bit more as they were connected by the lips and now each-others bodies. Over the next few moments they just laid there, him perfectly on top of her and as they kissed she could feel her heart beating faster and faster feeling, happy, for the first time in a while. His kisses were the kind of kisses that she didn’t just feel at her lips but the kind that spread through her entire body and as they broke the kiss she looked up into his eyes and as she found herself just staring. Drake soon gave a little chuckle “You alright?” he asked starting to balance himself on his arms above her and as she smiled she let a small tear go “Hey why are you crying?” and as she went to wipe it away he leaned in kissing it away “You know you can talk to me Jade” and as she looked to him she said “I just…for the first time in a long time I feel good and I feel wanted and cared for, ever since I have been here it’s been like home and I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have you in my corner” and as she looked at him and brought her hand up stroking his cheek he looked to her and then tilted his head and kissed the palm of her hand “Jade that is one thing you will never be without and that is me, I promise you that” and as he smiled to her he leaned in kissing her one more time before starting to roll them to lay in the bed which they did for a few more hours before he left her asleep in the bed. Kissing her head one more time as he tucked her in he knew that he had to leave though he didn’t want to, but as he got to the door he looked back to her asleep in the bed and then walked out the door. Though as Drake walked down the hall towards his room, he didn’t realize the dark shadow that was down the hall, watching him as he left her room.
