Now this will cover Chapters 10, 11, 12, and 13. Why? Because each one feeds into the next fluidly in my opinion and it didn't feel right to do them in simple pairs. Because of this, I may do some summing up with the Visual and Impact portion so that way it doesn't become extremely long.856Please respect copyright.PENANAXPrOQHSzAr

> Storyline: Chapter 10 starts with Kioshi seemingly having moved on after letting Nekeo go from their contract. We get to meet another human/demon partnership and this female duo get to have some fun with our male lead. Their teasing and pointing out what's been right in front of him gets our college student to see the truth. He runs off only to find out there's other visitors in the school and they aren't who he was hoping to find.856Please respect copyright.PENANAKzWGn9TVtN

Chapter 11 continues with Kioshi learning about what happened to Nekeo and gets to reunite with his old demon friend. One problem is his friend isn't quite himself anymore thanks to Lucifer showing the feline runt some mercy. If that wasn't enough of a strike to Kioshi, he gets another bomb dropped on him. This leads into a heated reunion before ending with a final order from Kioshi. He finally declares what he wants Nekeo to know and goes to end his existence himself before Kanashimi can, resulting in a magical breakthrough.856Please respect copyright.PENANAaf2CIhXmae

Chapter 12: It looks like all is going to be smoothed out after that power serge by Nekeo but things aren't as they first appear. Lucifer rears his ego fueled head and proposes a deal, a duel to see if Nekeo is worthy of remaining alive. The duo agree to the terms and the fight begins but becomes quickly evident it is one sided. In this light, Kioshi decides to try and put it all out there to try and save Nekeo after listening to Lucifer's explanation for why he is doing as he is.856Please respect copyright.PENANA8xM4gty5OF

Chapter 13: The conclusion to the battle shows a new outfit and powers for Nekeo under the new type of contract. The battle is showing to be more evenly matched as Kioshi reflects over his past while focused on the fight. It is here the final order is given and they lay it all out there on the field of battle. Once the smoke clears it appears it was for naught as Lucifer reveals he is only roughed up. Lucky for the duo, the Devil is feeling generous and allows Nekeo to live after a fun fight. Words are exchanged and he departs with a vow they would meet again in the future. Kioshi learns something about their new contract and now knows he has to better guard his inner thoughts/emotions if he doesn't want Nekeo picking up on them.856Please respect copyright.PENANA4nvSw4U5Mp

Each chapter flowed smoothly into the next and had me on the edge of my seat. Each one was wonderful and very exciting.856Please respect copyright.PENANA0ewpUcwP6R

> Visual: The actions were fluid moving, the details were excellent as expected, the expressions...oh the expressions. The action was very nicely done. I enjoyed the beauty of the backgrounds such as the school's outer appearance. It was just beautiful. The look of the building as Kioshi was falling was nicely done. I enjoyed how vast the city looked when we see it from the air with Nekeo in flight in Chapter 11. The movement of hair and clothing was nicely done and I enjoyed how the flames were done during the fight, especially for forming Lucifer's scythe when in Nekeo's possession. I also loved the range of expressions, especially Lucifer's. I'm not sure what it is but seeing him grin just makes me grin wide and results in my face hurting. I also think Nekeo's ears got a little fluffier during these chapters such as after the fight. Nekeo's new outfit was wonderfully designed, fitting both cool and fashionable to demonstrate there was a new form of contract in play as compared to their first basic contract. Even if this design was a one-time thing or a show of a power boost, I'm fine with that because it was/will be awesome to go back and look at. It has a similar design to Conductor's trench coat, which if it is a hint-hint to anything I'm not sure but if it is then my curiosity is perked.856Please respect copyright.PENANAz7hEMfyMIq

> Characters: We have 3 new characters this chapter that are given names. Those would be the human girl Akari, her demon female rabbit Yorokobi and Kioshi's thought to be dead sister, Chiyo. We also see an unnamed girl that appears to be Asashin's new contract and doesn't speak but does look cute.856Please respect copyright.PENANAenBLIrR6CG

Akari is lively and cheerful. She also enjoys double teaming with her demon Yorokobi to give Kioshi a hard time in Chapter 10. I love her comebacks at Kioshi and how she's so confident in them. A wonderful character I wouldn't mind seeing in the future.856Please respect copyright.PENANAjY9j2QH3MM

Yorokobi is just as lively and cheerful as she plays well off of/with Akari when they are interacting with Kioshi in Chapter 10. She's energetic and isn't slow at following up a remark from Akari, which adds to possibly Kioshi wondering why he decided to be friends with girls. I wouldn't mind seeing her as well in the future. The duo works great together and I enjoyed at how easily they can read the other to get through to a hard headed male that doesn't pick up on subtle's much, with such ease.856Please respect copyright.PENANApQQxws2nJe

Chiyo well, even though what she did was wrong I don't hate her. We learn how kind and cheerful she was, her skill and abilities sounded to be in what I would call a top mark like range. But she fell to her fear and, probably because she was so brilliant, felt she had to take care of their law breaking father herself. This has resulted in her losing her brother even though he's not dead because of her stopping their father, yet in turn, taking their father's place with her own list of casualties and innocent blood on her hands. She did look saddened but I'm torn if it was genuine regret for her deeds or if she was sad that she couldn't/failed to kill her brother that day to give him mercy from any grief he would feel for surviving. I think she did feel bad but the origin for that I'm not sure.856Please respect copyright.PENANAxHj9TH8G0D

Kioshi was in top form these chapters and it felt good to see him truly making peace with the past. I loved his declaration of love and the content expression he had even though tears were falling, they seemed like happy and relieved tears. The handling of his sister felt natural for someone who thought for 4 years their sibling was dead only to find out they are perfectly alive. This does raise a question for me, if Kioshi had picked the other soul then, whose soul was it? Did she give her soul to her demons to try tricking him to make him give up Nekeo? We may never know but I have a feeling those questions may have struck him in the back of his mind while his sister was explaining her reasoning behind her deeds. I also loved how he kept focused and made a choice to make a stand, offering up something he needs to live, for love and those who were no longer alive because of that one dark deed. His worried or freaked out expressions are classic and very funny. He wouldn't be a very good liar and that makes it all the better with his energy and character, in my opinion.856Please respect copyright.PENANAPs1QFpOqPL

Nekeo is also in top form, just as sarcastic as ever. With the quick come backs and remarks, even with the memory wipe being in effect he can still throw out some good sass towards someone. Which he did towards Chiyo when she was explaining herself to Kioshi. Seeing Nekeo crying as he flew down to get to a falling Kioshi spoke volumes to the depth of their bond. I adored his teasing of Kioshi as well, it was adorable and felt right in line before he went back to acting like he didn't care about things again. Gotta be cool. I loved seeing his determination before and after the new contract when fighting against Lucifer. The fight, although short, was epic and he looked in top form after the renewed power boost from the new contract with Kioshi. I also loved his updated outfit even if it is just a temporary thing that may only show up whenever he and Kioshi are synced up or something. I also loved his sarcasm at the end towards Kioshi about his thoughts/emotions. Very humorous and gives nice insight more into how this new contract works or will work with their deep bond.856Please respect copyright.PENANAgO7YB1AOet

As for Asashin and the unnamed woman, they felt right. Asashin was himself and had the right energy about him as well as the woman. She also was nice this time, or nicer as she was kind enough to explain to Kioshi about what happened after he ended his contract with Nekeo.856Please respect copyright.PENANAIXRHwiXPNr

> Impact: These chapters brought a lot of emotions, excitement and had me on the edge of my seat, primarily after Lucifer showed up. You never know what a God of Demons is or can do since a God can pretty much do anything they want. The confrontation with Chiyo made me question how long she actually was planning to carry out the act that she did, and how far her skill with retaining knowledge acted in her choices after she met Unmei and Risutoa to carry out her hit on her father, as well as anyone else there at the festival. She came to me as being very calculating which made it hard for me to figure out if her sadness she expressed was genuine and part of regret or if it was a facade to try and get to Kioshi, so she could have him just give up and she get the, maybe, feeling of satisfaction that she "saved" him from his own grief for surviving her first issued bombing.856Please respect copyright.PENANAKG5K9qygdk

When Kioshi was speaking to Nekeo I did think "yes, yes he's gotta remember. He's just gotta" but nope and I recall literally nearly shouting "No!" at my screen, I did do that softly though as Kioshi fell back off the building after confessing his true feelings for Nekeo. Seeing him shed tears made me tear up and I felt panic with hope someone would jump in and save him. As Nekeo jumped down and scolded Kioshi for his rash actions, I giggled and I couldn't help but "aww" at their expressions as they were reunited with memories fully intact. Then Lucifer gets involved and I felt both excitement and concern since all the rules were broken, and that means death to that particular demon. I loved the thrilling energy of the fight and couldn't help but grin and love Lucifer's history, or part of it, that he tells Kioshi. The second part of the fight was just as awesome with some badass poses and glares from Nekeo to the Devil. At the end I was laughing and felt really good and happy for the outcome.856Please respect copyright.PENANAtNxSAqHGj5

I would recommend people check this series out. There is one more chapter left as of the time of me posting this. Why am I not waiting? Well given how Chapter 13 ended, it doesn't feel like or look like it's going to lead into something taking place that same day. If it does then I'll need to be like "my bad" in that review but we'll see. Anyways, it has great emotion, action, beautiful artwork and great characters with humor in just the right places to balance out any sad parts. There is also talk of a second volume which when/if happens then I am eager to see what is in store for its story arc.856Please respect copyright.PENANAzOM2PKzs7W
