> Storyline: We start with Nekeo not looking very interested in what Kioshi is saying and he also doesn't seem well. What began normal enough soon turns into a 'beat the clock' when Kioshi finds the kitchen ruined and Nekeo unconscious. It is now we meet 2 new characters and learn a little more about demon culture. The calm talking soon turns into a run to stay alive once Nekeo wakes up. Things end peacefully enough with a touching heart to heart.
It was thrilling and a nice continuation to show more of this world, as well as show more about our 2 main leads. I enjoyed the twists and a hint that Nekeo may be more different than we think.873Please respect copyright.PENANAE23YCezPFI

> Visual: This chapter is equally pleasing with the style and flow as before. The movements of the characters are just as fluid as before. The detail is just right in adding to the scenes, the character's expressions and body language and the mood of the atmosphere. The movement of the characters and transformations are fluid and lovely to see. The dangerous atmosphere comes very nicely based on the newest demon's growing grin and change in behavior. This was wonderfully done. The visual of magic being used as also pleasing and lovely to see.873Please respect copyright.PENANApoKWLjTbWT

> Characters: Let's start with our 2 newest cast members: Hisao who is a very wealthy 14 year old boy and his demon Kireina who can turn her arms into scythes. I enjoyed seeing Kireina display other magic such as being able to open portals. We see her open a portal to bring Kioshi and Nekeo to Hisao's manor from Kioshi's apartment. I also enjoyed seeing that spell used again to let Kireina to try and get the jump on the main pair.
I enjoyed Hisao's personality being so serious yet having that attitude that is sort of blunt and dry. I also enjoyed this energy and his expressions that he looks down on Kioshi. It's quite humorous. I am wondering how many years of experience Hisao has under his belt dealing with demons. He has more knowledge than Kioshi and Kireina has served his family for some time as well.
I enjoyed how Kireina changes gradually while explaining information about cat demons then about the culture of demons, as well as a tidbit about Nekeo. We also learn about demons, at least in regards to Kireina, going into blood lust towards a demon.
Nekeo didn't have much progression due to his life being in danger for most of the chapter. I did like how we see a demon show gratitude after seeing one who is, for the most part, fully obedient to the terms of their contract. Kioshi was nice and I enjoyed his quick thinking. I also like how he can't stand Hisao yet will call upon him when he has no other person to turn to.873Please respect copyright.PENANAb7BU8ccVoy

> Impact: This gave me the feels from the start and had me excited during the chase scene, then have me warm feelings by the end. I liked how we got a comparison duo to see how the usual contracted pair behaves. I loved the information we got, Kioshi realizing what his neighbor's words meant and the emotional pull between what he knows is right and what he feels is right. I did find myself saying "Oh this isn't good. Not good, not good!" as Kireina changed and began the attack. I was happy for the small laugh I had at the end.873Please respect copyright.PENANApbNzCi8r6E

This was an excellent chapter and it didn't feel lacking. The development of the characters was small but good. The introduction of the 2 new cast members was well done and enjoyable. It continues from Chapter 1 smoothly by showing Kioshi looking for a new job before things start to spiral. The end does add to the trend of a rule being broken by the end of possibly every chapter. This is nice and not something I've seen done. I'm curious as to what will happen by the end when all the rules have been altered/broken and/or the contract is fulfilled, whichever happens first.
I would recommend people give this series a read and, as of this review, it is ongoing.
