> Storyline: The story for Chapter 1 is a lovely introduction to the series. We see the rules and are immediately welcomed to a crime scene. From this point we meet our 2 main characters and learn of how they met. It's executed very nicely with some wonderful humor mixed into the darker tone. We are also shown and even learn a bit about the demon culture when a contract is made with a human. We even get insight into Kioshi and his feelings towards his demon, which is a very nice touch in my opinion.1487Please respect copyright.PENANAL6YmYG6Tg5

> Visual: The style is easy to recognize as Tailzkip's and the detail is excellent. In 15 pages we get a lot of nice detail. I enjoyed the level of expressions as well as the scenery. The expressions are in what I call upper to top quality. They are very expressive especially with the eyes. The background has some darker tones yet also has those needed lighter moments for a good balance. The movement of the characters is smooth and has excellent flow. Action scenes are wonderful with the way it has the feeling of things moving by quickly or slowly to properly show speed.1487Please respect copyright.PENANAi0MUsnfyWv

> Characters: Here we meet our mains: Kioshi a human 17 year old and Nekeo a 40 year old demon who takes on the appearance of a 15 year old male. They have a nice back and forth with their chemistry. Kioshi is serious and focused on not going to jail for the recent numerous murders due to him being the only surviver, that also happened to be armed. Nekeo is sarcastic and shows an attitude of just wanting to slack off. He has some cockiness to him as well when speaking to Kioshi as well as a 'I'm right' feeling to his energy.
I enjoy how these two play off one another. There's enough to show they have been together for at least a short time so are used to how the other one behaves, more or less that is. I also enjoyed how Kioshi acts like he's focused on the contract being fulfilled yet isn't due to having grown attached to Nekeo. I like this aspect as it shows that, even with this list of rules, a contract can break down into true friendship and partnership for the human and demon in question, when given a chance. The inspector was nice. He had the energy and way about his words and such that felt right for his position.1487Please respect copyright.PENANAUmffGTU20R

> Impact: It left me excited to read more. The world seems interesting due to the existence of demons, even if not everyone knows about them. I also want to see more of how Kioshi and Nekeo will continue to play off the other. I'm also interested to see how their relationship develops with the contract in place. I'm also curious to see if more demons will pop up and how that will play out.
Nekeo amuses me with the way he acts as it seems uncommon for a demon to behave that way, but that's what makes him intriguing. Kioshi not having much apparent focus on finding the bombers is interesting because it brought me to question how long he's been not actively looking for clues into the case.1487Please respect copyright.PENANACUPpvKicdk

An excellent starting chapter to a series that looks like it has promise as it continues. This is also due to a possible pattern as it advances at the end of each chapter. I recommend people check this out as well as Engine 999.
Tame & and the mentioned Engine 999 both belong to Tailzkip.1487Please respect copyright.PENANAn0YWz5xvJu
