I fished my keys out of my pocket to unlock the door to my shitty one-bedroom apartment that has more problems than not. But that’s just how life works when you a schizophrenic earning minimum wage. As I entered my apartment I quickly lock and then bolt my door shut, I scurried to my kitchen to take my medication. I grabbed a glass of stagnant water from this morning. I drank the glass flushing the tablets down my throat. I then play halo for the next hour. As six o clock approached, and I died way too many times. I Turned off my console. I was walking to the kitchen when I heard gunshots outside. I Dropped to the ground like a bag of rocks. I then crawled to my window. Wanting to locate the shooter before I call the police. As I peered over the window and saw people going about as normal, I cursed myself and my stupid schizophrenia I also cursed the ineffective drugs I spend half my paycheck on. Crisis adverted I went to the kitchen I opened the fridge to some just out of date ham and I had some bread too. I made my ham sandwich and grabbed a can of cider and started eating my dinner and watched some tv till about eight I had to go to bed then. I had the early shift “lucky” me

I rolled over in bed as the alarm called my name. I tried ignoring it for as long as I could, eventually though my willpower failed, and I dragged my excuse for a body out of bed. I toasted what was left of the bread and went off to work. I entered the top-of-the-line McDonalds I worked at that hasn’t cleaned the toilets in a month. I fired up the fryer and start making the mornings batch of “fresh” chips. Work was the same as always dealing with Karen’s because are shit food was worse than usual.

Like always it was a long nine hours I came home exhausted and did the same cycle meds game dinner then beer with tv. Luckily for me I had tomorrow off and stayed up late. Just before bed I heard this tapping sound. mice are one of the many problems here so a I placed a mouse trap and thought nothing of it. The next morning, I wasn’t surprised when I heard the snap of the trap going off. I took that as my que to get up. I rolled onto the cold wooden floor and went to my living room to empty the mouse trap. off all the things I expected a three-foot-long leg? Wasn’t it but that was exactly what was there and it didn’t kill it because I could still here the monster crawling around in my celling. I think. I ran into my kitchen took the rest of my bottle fuck the doctor “only take two a day” yada yada yada. HE CAN’T CONTROL ME. There was five left so hopefully its fades quickly. I then spent the next hour sitting…the clicking, crawling I heard it still. I grabbed my wallet and left I walked and walked until I reach a bar. I contemplated going in, then I remembered the crawling. I walked in drowning out the crawling with the loud music. It wasn’t working.so I got drunk the pills weren’t working anyway so no need to pay for them... and while I was on my third drink clinging onto sobriety still, I could hear it I needed more. More noise, more drugs I don’t know.

The light shined into my eyes. I opened my eyes it was a quiet autumn morning a sat up on the bench I was sleeping on trying to remember what got me here. Then I realized it was quiet. Thank God a thought to myself as I ran home. I entered my apartment and glanced into my living room and that weird leg claw hybrid was gone too it was all looking good I opened my bedroom and flopped headfirst into my bed I stared at the celling then something crawled into my vision. Some…monstrosity it’s an amalgamation of a human, crab and a spider it had a human head spider like legs but ten of them, like crabs. I didn’t have a chance to open my mouth it dropped down and opened it’s octopus like beak and feasted. I died quickly after that… but not quickly enough
