Alga's POV
I dragged Kyle all the way to the smell of food, the smell was interesting enough to make my mouth water. Kyle chuckled and soon realized where I was taking him, he stopped in his tracks and raised an eyebrow at me.
" what" I questioned
" you could of just said you were hungry" he groaned and ruffled my hair
" I know, but its fun dragging you around" I admitted and slightly blushed
" of course, what do you want to eat" he asked and gestured to all of the fast food stands around the room
I looked at him and then at the food court that stood before us. Each of them looked all so good, I put my hands to my mouth and shook my head. I could't make up my mind, Kyle was going to kill me if I asked for all of them. I sighed and looked ta him, he was chuckling away.
" if you want all of them, I can get them for you" he smirked gesturing to his wallet full of money
" no no, I could't possibly. I want what you humans call Mexican" I giggled and clapped my hands
" good choice, lets go then" Kyle nodded and dragged me to the food
I smiled as he did so, I was too nervous myself so I let Kyle do that. Once we got food we sat down and started to eat. Kyle sat across from me, he chuckled at me while I was procrastinating if I should eat.
" just eat Alga, you need the energy" he soothed and ate some of his burrito
" I know, is it good" I looked down at the cheesy substance before me
" its just cheese, if you got more then that it might be tastier. But then again those are pretty good with sea salt chips." he explained and nodded at me
" alright" I nodded back and took a bite
After swallowing I looked at Kyle and giggled, he knew I would like it. I knew it too, somehow I felt like I've already tried this before. He finished his food while I was half way done, Im slow at eating geez. After finishing mine Kyle throws our trash away and sat back in front of me. He rolls his eyes and just crosses his arms, I parted my lips and sighed.
" can we walk around" i asked
" really? after eating. Don't you want to rest it out" Kyle chuckled and raised an eyebrow at me.
" I want to take these calories off of me, so yes we are walking around" I giggled to see him smile and stand up
" fine, I guess we can walk around" he pushed in his chair and took his hand out so I could take his
Grabbing the bags of clothing in my left hand I grabbed his left with my right hand, I slightly blushed before walked beside him.
Kyle's POV
I felt him grab my left hand which made me smile, I wanted to show him all over the mall but it was getting a bit late. I sighed and looked down at my phone, it was just 7pm. Thats not late at all what am I talked about, I glanced over at Alga who was swinging ours hands back and forth.
" I think we should go home" I muttered
" thats fine with me" he shrugged
" you sure" I questioned
" actually can we go to the river" he asked
" you want to go back there, why?" I questioned as I raised an eyebrow at him
" I don't know, I feel like I should show you my world since your showing me yours" he muttered which made him blush
" that's cool with me" I nodded and saw him light up
He dragged me out of the mall and into my car, I drove us home and parked the car in the garage. I took my shoes off and walked with him to the river, he ran ahead of me very excitedly. I walked slowly crossing the street carefully before getting to the river, I looked around and didn't see him. I felt as he hugged me from my side, I blushed slightly before he let go.
" watch this" he muttered as he jumped into the water
A tail the same color of his hair appeared instead of his legs, I blinked before I realized I had jumped into the water my self. My eyes widened as he swam towards me, I couldn't breath. I did't like this feeling at all, why did I want this on myself before I met him. I watched as he caressed my cheeks gently before placing his lips on mine, which shocked me. Once he let go I was able to breath.
" wait.." I stopped and just spoke
" yeah you can speak, you won't drown" he smiled and swam around me
" why is that" I questioned
" you can't tell, you don't have legs silly" he giggled as I looked down at my legs
" woah, I have a tail" I was shocked I swam around
" its pretty just like your light purple hair" he admitted
" wait does this mean I'm a siren" I asked
" well it seems you already have siren blood in your body" he explained " which could mean why your parents left you, one of them was a siren who probably got killed and the other was human who was banished" he added
" no way" I chirped and swam around him like i had so much energy
I saw him watch me and smile blushing the whole time, I smiled as well. He took my hand and dragged me into the swampy waters that I was soon able to see. I didn't see much but he wanted to show me where he used to live I guess. I saw him smiling the whole time, which got me thinking. I stopped and saw him turn to look at me.
" this is special to you right" I asked
" haha it is, especially for the love of my life to see it" he blushed covering his mouth looking away from me
" love of your life, damn i did't think you would say that" I chuckled as I swam towards him.
" Kyle what are you doing" he asked
" haha nothing, i just want to go see it" I rolled my eyes as I pushed him forwards which made him giggle.
" okay okay, come on" he complained and grabbed my hand once more
I watched as we swam towards a small building under the water, I raised an eyebrow before more of them came into view. It looked like other sirens were living there, that confused me. I was told from teachers and my parents that sirens cant get along with each other, or well emotionally. That's why they find humans to fall in love with, I stopped as Alga stopped as well as he hid from some people. I guessed he didn't want to be seen by them. He gave me a necklace and told me to give it to his mother, he also said to not be seen by anyone.
" ill try okay, if I don't give it to her then I got captured or whatever. Don't get lost yourself idiot" I spoke and kissed his cheek before camouflaging myself with the water.
He hasn't asked me to do something for him before, I guess he does trust me now. I slightly blushed as I swam towards the castle that he lived in. The place was huge, Alga told me his mother had a light red tail with orange and brown spots on it. I searched all over until i found her, she was talking to someone. I slightly groaned and swam towards her.
" um excuse me, do you happen to be Mia" I asked softly to see her turn around
" yes I am but you call me your highness" she spoke and looked me up and down
" sorry i don't live down here like you do ma'am, your son wanted me to give you this" I smirked and handed her a small emerald necklace
" Alga? What happened to him, my husband said he died" she became worried
" well for one he saved me, two he's obvious alive, and lastly hes in love with a human" I rubbed the back of my neck
" i'm glad hes doing alright, thank you for taking care of my son Kyle. Ill make sure to tell his younger sisters, id like to talk to you again. How can I contact you?" she asked
" just read my mind Mia" I suggested which made her laugh
I bowed to respect her and swam off, that went really well. I smiled and got to Alga who hugged me, I guessed he heard the whole thing. I hugged him back as well.
