If it hadn’t been for that phone call, I would never have met him. I had been looking for a summer job having nothing else to do. I had been looking specifically for a job at a bookstore so I can get an employee discount and therefore get more books. I had gotten a phone call from this thrift book store, with no employee discount but I was having a hard time finding a job since no one else is hiring and they pay well so I bit the bullet and accepted the job.
So I went into the store for the first day and that was when I met Luke who was training me on what to do. After that first day we hit it off, we became 2 peas in a pod. It was just the thing I needed having lost my only friend and thinking that no one else would want to talk to me and hang out.
We started talking, texting and calling not everyday but when it happened it would feel like it had a second but it really was hours. It is like we had each other for our entire lives. He feels like a soulmate, one that is not romantic. Since I don’t feel romantic or sexual attraction and Luke has his halirous boyfriend Percy. It was just what I needed.
I have never been so thankful about picking up the phone and taking a chance cause now I have the best friends anyone could ever have.
