Ways to flirt with a man to be courted. By Amy Lorane
1. Bat your eyelashes at him and quickly wave your fan in front of your face at a quick pass but not too fast to make him think you are a harlot. Make sure it hides your face and lips that are painted in lipstick so he won’t get that animal desire.
2. Make sure he is a proper gentleman. That he has desire in his eyes for you but not the kind of one of a crazed maniac.
3. If you still give this kind of man the kind of day you must stay where other people’s eyes can be on you. Not just your chaperone nice they can be, let's say ignore what happens. Especially if they are a friend or someone he chooses.
4. Don’t follow him if he says that he needs to talk to you without the people’s eyes and the chaperone.
5. If you dare to go back say to an alleyway. Make sure you grab your purse in case it needs to be a weapon.
6. If he pushes himself on top of you kick him in the privates to try to make him stop. Or for you to get away. But your body is too weak for him and he forces himself onto you.
7. Once he is done you get up and put on your clothes that he threw off of your body and go back to the party and back with him talking to you as if he didn’t rip your purity.
8. Though you feel the bruises he has left on your body but is covered by the layers of your body though it feels as though they burn bright like a light for anyone and everyone to see.
9. You will feel the ache of what he did for the rest of the week because he was so rough and you never complained not waiting to say what happened to you.
10. You will notice blood from your parts that bleed once a month. Though that was not that. That was a sign of your purity was ripped from your hands and it will bleed for about 2 days.
11. You will pretend it never happened for the rest of your life. Acting as though there is nothing haunting you at night and your thoughts daily.
12. You will never marry because you don’t want to seem like a used thing when you expected a pure virgin to be wed. You don’t want to be seen as a filthy whore.
13. You let them call you weird and not social for your choice.
14. You pray to God until the day of your death and ask for forgiveness for something that was ripped from you.

Many scholars think that this was just her finally telling her story and this story (which was under a fake name and no one knows for sure who wrote it) but it made a stir in the public and made waves in people (mostly women) coming out about what happened to them.
