Draco's POV 283Please respect copyright.PENANAg5OZyXYnfe
I sit two seats away from everyone else. I don't want to speak to anyone. But Pansy Parkinson and Blaise Zabini switch seats, so Blaise is across from me, and Pansy is next to me. "What do you want?" I grumble. "Is that really the way you greet old friends?" Pansy sounds offended. She changes her tone. "Draco, are you okay? Your thin as a stick."
"Like you two care," I snort. "I could be nearly dead, and you'd walk away."
"We do care," Blaise says angrily. "We're still hanging out with you, when everyone else abandoned you. You know what people call you? Draco Malfoy the death eater. They refer to you a traitor. And they got me wondering; why do I stay with you? Only an idiot would. Pansy, lets leave the un-grateful ferret alone."
I expect Pansy to go. She's been head over heels for Blaise for months- heck, years. "No," She says quietly. "I'm staying with Draco. He needs us, Blaise."
Blaise's mouth falls open. He sputters angrily. "Fine. Don't come running back to me, though." He turns and walks away, shooting Pansy a look of disgust. She rests a hand on my arm. "Ignore him, Draco," She murmurs. "He'll come around eventually. He always does."
"Hopefully," I swallow a lump in my throat. Just like that, I lost someone else I trusted. "Go on, Pans. Go get the boy you love. I don't want to be the thing that pulls you two apart."
"You need me more then he does," Pansy says firmly. "Now tell me, when was the last time you ate?"
"Two weeks ago," I say weakly. "Draco!" She slaps my arm. "You have to eat!" She piles a great amount of food on my plate, and watches me eat it. "Jeezus Pans," I grumble. "You aren't my mother."
"I am while your at Hogwarts," She tosses her head. "Now eat."
I sigh and finish my food. We walk out of the Great Hall, and Pansy walks away from me, to use the bathroom.
Suddenly, I'm pinned to the wall. Henry Harlow. I struggle against him.
"Poor little traitor, pinned to the wall, and can't fight." He mocks. "What a shame." He punches my nose. "That's for letting your Father kill my Aunt!" I hear a crack, and blood runs down my face.
"Leave him alone, Harlow!" It's the musical voice from the girl on the train. She walks up to us and pulls him of me. "Leave him alone!" She repeats.
"You can do better then him, Roberts," Harlow scowls. "Go chase after some real men, eh?"
"What real men?" The girl snaps. "I don't see any." Harlow flushes with rage and walks away, my blood on his sleeves.
"Thanks," I say weakly. The girl nods. "I'm Dorianne Roberts. Draco Malfoy, right?"
I nod. She takes my wrist and walks me to the Hospital Wing. Madam Pomfrey heals it, quickly. "You can go back to your dorm, Mr. Malfoy. But before you go; may I ask who did this to you?"
I open my mouth but no sound comes out. Dorianne answers for me, "Henry Harlow."
I nod. Madam Pomfrey frowns. "Very well. Goodnight, Mr. Malfoy, Ms. Roberts."
We leave the Hospital Wing, and I walk with Dorianne to the Hufflepuff common room. "Goodnight, Draco!" I smile slightly and wave goodbye, before walking to my dorm. Pansy waits for me there, and bombards me with questions.
I tell her everything and her face hardens. "Harlow is going to regret this."
And like that, I know Pansy really does care for me, and isn't fake like everyone else.
