OMG OMG OMG. I just realised something. NOOOOOOO. The full moon was on the first. Sirius’ birthday was on the third. I missed his 17th birthday. SHIT. I am such a bad boyfriend. Fuck, I’m a terrible person. I gotta do something to make it up to him. I’ll suck it up, all of the aftereffects of the moon and do something special for him. Yeah! I’ll take him out to The Three Broomsticks for dinner tonight. It’s a Saturday, so we’re allowed to be out in Hogsmeade until eight. Perfect! I’m going to go tell James and Peter. Be right back!
Ack! Sorry, I forgot to give an update. It is currently nine in the evening. James and Peter gave me the all clear for mine and Sirius’ date. It was just past six, so I went to tell Sirius where we were going. He was lounging on his bed in the dorm when I walked in. “Hey, Sirius. Grab your jacket. We’re going out for dinner, since I missed your birthday,” I told him, sitting down at the foot of his bed. He smiled. “Okay. Yeah, gimme’ a minute. I’ll meet you in the common room.” I returned his smile as he got up. “You’re the best, Moony. I love you so much,” he said, kissing me on the top of my head. He jogged into the bathroom to get ready. Once he was gone, I locked up all the wolfy stuff behind a wall in my mind. It was tiring and kinda gave me a headache, sure, but I was doing this for Sirius. That made it okay. I laid down on his bed, closing my eyes and waiting for him to be ready to go. When I opened my eyes, I felt Sirius pressed up against me. Looking to the window, I saw it was dark. “Shit,” I whispered, sitting up. “I fell asleep.” Sirius sat up, too, his leather jacket over his shoulders. “I know,” he said, a small grin on his face. “Sirius, why didn’t you wake me up? We were going to go for dinner, and celebrate your birthday. I… UGH! I’m so sorry,” I said, grabbing his hands. He looked at me with those wide, grey eyes. “It’s okay. You don’t need to do anything special with me. Let’s just stay here for now. It’s okay.” I relaxed, laying back down. “You sure?” I asked. Sirius laughed and nodded. “Yeah. I’m sure.” I’m writing this a few hours after all that happened. Everyone else is asleep. Happy birthday, Sirius. I love you.
