The day continues as this slight inconvenience doesn't disturb me. The entrance exams begin, as this duel has delayed it for far too long. I proceeded to the physical exam. I was told to use enhancement magic to break this boulder. They specifically said I needed to touch the bolder to prevent people from sneaking barrier magic to break the boulder instead of physical enhancement. I do as I'm told, and punch the boulder with basic magical enhancement. To everyone including me's surprise, the boulder suddenly cracks and crumbles as it has just been hit with the delayed kinetic energy from my fist. 'This is merely a fraction of what I can do, it should not be this powerful already...' I think, shocked at how powerful that punch was. Everyone looked so shocked, including the instructor.
"G-Good job, Uyemuro-kun..." The instructor said.
"Thank you, we may continue to the next assessment as per usual," I replied.
The next assessment was to gauge your magical strength overall. You were tested for your sequential gland's performance under high pressure. They put a cerebral detector on your head and told you to visualize as many spells as possible. As most spectators of the previous duel have seen, my gland performance surpasses even the best of instructors. The results were staggering as the capacity was 99.5%. For reference, the average student scores a 43% on the cerebral assessment. Though these statistics were quite alarming, they continued the assessment. The next part of this assessment was to check your runic power and maximum capacity. The rune was placed on your palm, and the intensity of the illumination would determine your magical strength. They placed the rune on my left palm, it glowed so bright it made everyone look away instantly, then the rune broke. This means my runic power is beyond 1.5 million. Again, for reference, the average runic power is 256,200. This baffled the students and the instructors as they have never seen anything like the extraordinary score I got.
This concluded the physical assessments. For the written exam, I had not studied adequately, but this meant nothing due to my ability to create spells. Though there is a limitation obviously, I can still create neural enhancers to further enhance my brain speed. It isn't making me smarter, it's just enhancing the speed in which I think, thus making me able to process questions logically rather than guessing. Creating spells is quite time-consuming, but this one should be easier than most. I then create the spell which I call 'Unwavering Brightness'. It enhances the brain in every aspect possible, but due to the seal, I was only able to create a 3x boost. This was enough for the small task that was upon me. I walk through the hallways, noticing everything... my brain was working extremely fast... almost too fast. I decide to cancel the spell's effects until the actual test began as it was interfering with my ability to think.
At last, I arrived at the exam location. It was a classroom in the school, I took this time to survey my environment. I made sure the neural enhancer would not be interrupted by any teacher, student, or faculty member alike.
"Hello, soon-to-be students! Welcome to Agodeth." A teacher says whom I cannot see.
"This academy is only home to the bright and capable, so make sure to do good on this exam!"
The teacher reveals herself by moving through a lightning bolt. It landed in the teacher's chair and she was suddenly there. 'This has to be D-tier magic, very impressive to the regular student.' I think to myself...
"Allow me to introduce myself, I am Arima Yuki, and will be your instructor for this assessment today. The assessment begins in I minute." She says, grinning slightly.
I take this time to activate the enhancer. I can feel my neural pathways firing faster than ever. But, alas, this mental power would not last long.
1 Minute Passes...
I begin the assessment. I pick up the silver writing device and charge my mana into it, this is how writing devices work in this world. I begin to write faster and more precisely than ever before. 'Why didn't I think to create something like this in my previous life?' I think, as I already completed the assessment in 30 seconds. I raise my hand, and the teacher answers, "How may I help you, Uyemuro-kun?"...
"I would like to turn in my assessment as I have finished," I reply, grinning unnoticeably.
"Oh! We have a bright one this year don't we?" She replies, smiling.
"I guess we do..." A mysterious voice replies.
I hand in the assessment, and she puts it into her automatic grader and hands it back. Just before she handed it back, a student yelled, "He cheated! There is no way he got that done in 30 seconds! Not even the smartest could do that." Another student gets up, revealing he's been watching everyone to make sure they don't cheat. The student sits back down, and the one who accused me did too. How is it that everyone needs to call me out on the entrance exams? I think I have passed, and I await the announcement.
The teacher comes to the class yet again and tells everyone to announce their results. I raise my hand and say 100. Everyone audibly gasped as nobody has gotten that score. I assumed they didn't believe me so I held my paper out. They were further mortified at this monstrous score. It's safe to say I passed both.
