Inspiration; This piece is another one of my coursework assignments inspired by a character observation. Mine was of my pet cat Zack and how he is with myself and my toddler when we walk to school.
A broad tabby cat, greyish brown in colour with a white muzzle, chugged alongside his owner. Zack strolled along sporting his bright blue collar and engraved pawprint tag with pride. He looked up at his mother, a mousey woman in her mid-twenties, stuck close to his side, pushing a chubby toddler in a pram. He was their protector, ensuring they returned home safely.
The tabby continued to pad along the path to his own beat, feeling more like a wild tiger than a domestic house cat. Suddenly a kitten approached his pack, a skinner, darker, female tabby joined the pack. While Zack acknowledged her as his companion, belonging to the same family, he was on a mission, and he wouldn't allow her to interfere. He let out a warning mew to his sister, she ignored his cry and continued to join the group, padding alongside them.
