Thoughts on the future of Realm of the Guardian Stones:
For season 2: The second season of this story will focus more heavily on a mysterious character that will push the stories forward. Eventually, my goal is to have all these separate story lines and characters to intersect with each other. I'm very excited to eventually develop the world, its lore, and characters further. --X Caliber

Reptilian guards lead General Plaetios to the throne room. It was obvious to everyone there he was wounded by someone or something. The pain was no longer an issue. The long journey back to the Reptilian Kingdom gave General Plaetios time to heal. General Plaetios bowed his head in submission, to a dark figure sitting on the throne.
The dark figure’s eyes were burning with an intense fire. The dark figure on the throne was the reptilian king, King Psuno. He was known for his cruelty and strength. King Psuno studies General Plaetios’ behavior and looks at his damaged armor. General Plaetios knew that King Psuno was testing him, trying to find any sign of weakness that he could use against him. Upon seeing General Plaetios return, he was clearly not pleased. He glared at him intensely, and everyone in the throne room took it as a sign that he was about to order General Plaetios' execution. The entire feeling in the throne room was tense.
King Psuno opened his mouth. With an authoritative and menacing voice said only one thing to General Plaetios. “There better be a good reason why you’re here…. empty handed.”

General Plaetios knew that he had failed his mission, but he also knew that he had to come up with a convincing excuse if he wanted to keep his head on his shoulders. He gulps before answering King Psuno. “I… I encountered something unexpected my Lord,” King Psuno could hear the trembling sounds in General Plaetios’ voice as he spoke. General Plaetios avoids eye contact as he states his case to the king, “Hiss, we were overpowered by a young human girl. She attacked me and my soldiers with, with…. a bright yellow stone my Lord. But I assure you, I will not rest until… ” King Psuno’s eyes, a bright green color glowing in the shadows of the dark, are now fixed on General Psuno, who is still kneeled trying to explain everything he’d seen in the jungle when he fought against Luntra. King Psuno growled in complete annoyance with General Plaetios’ story. However, an old wise tortoise on the kings right listened carefully to Plaetios’ words. King Psuno turns his head slightly to see her eyes widen with each word General Plaetios said.
King Psuno interrupts General Plaetios in the middle of a sentence. “Choose your WORDS carefully General Plaetios, for they can be your last.” King Psuno leaned forward on his throne; his eyes still fixed on General Plaetios.
Upon hearing that General Plaetios’ hands began to shake. General Plaetios felt a chill run down his spine as he stared endlessly towards the floor trying to find the right words in front of the reptilian king. He immediately gulps and attempts to compose himself. “I swear to you, my Lord! Once that vile human used the power of this mysterious stone, a reptilian beast attacked me and my soldiers. I barely got out of there alive as you can see by my damaged armor.”
King Psuno listened to each word that General Plaetios said. He was clearly furious but not surprised by Plaetios’ incompetence. To rub it in and make the situation more frightening for General Plaetios, the king spoke again. “Are you not part of my strongest and most elite warriors? How is it that you were easily overpowered by one human girl?” The King had a strong hatred for humans, and he was not happy with the idea of them possessing such power. Before the general could explain, King Psuno continued, “You better not be lying to me, General.” The King said sternly. “If I find out that you have been lying, not only will you be executed, but will be made an example of. I will not tolerate failure. Your mission was clear, to find someone at all costs.” King Psuno waves his hand and immediately a reptilian soldier with a spear in his hand makes his way to the general in order to execute him.
Upon seeing the guard make his way to him, General Plaetios immediately stood up. “Please, I beg of you my Lord, I take full responsibility for my incompetence. But please, have mercy on me!” General Plaetios placed his palms together, his fingers interlocked with each other as he begged for his life.
King Psuno spoke nonchalantly. “Mercy? Forgiveness? Benevolent?” He chuckles while General Plaetios begs for his life. He finds humor and joy in others suffering. “Ah, simple words that have no meaning for me.”
With those words, the King stood up, his eyes full of fury and anger. He raised his hand high and closed his fingers forming a fist. This was the sign for the guard to execute General Plaetios.
“Wait!” The throne room suddenly became quiet. The old wise female tortoise spoke. She stood up to get everyone, including the king’s attention.
The King turned to the old wise female tortoise, her eyes widening as she spoke up. King Psuno's expression changed from anger to curiosity. "What do you have to say, K'leotina the Wise?"
The old tortoise thought thoroughly before she spoke. "My King, it is true that General Plaetios has failed you by not finding that person you seek. However, the stone he speaks of is known as a Guardian Stone.” Many of those in the throne room whisper amongst themselves after the mention of the Guardian Stone. This murmuring irritated the king. The king looked around to the reptilian’s whispering in the throne room. As soon as King Psuno made eye contact the entire room became silent. He then turns back to the old tortoise, K’leotina the Wise. “It is a powerful yet mysterious stone. There are, I believe a few out in the world. This, yellow Guardian Stone, can be used as a weapon. A very useful, unique, and powerful weapon." The King thought deeply about what the tortoise had said. He looked at General Plaetios and saw the fear in his eyes.
"Hmm, a weapon. Very well, I’m intrigued. Your life today has been spared. I will grant you mercy, General Plaetios. Mercy is not one of my strong qualities, however, you have the rare honor of getting a second chance but only one more chance. If you fail me again… I assure you; it will be your last." King Psuno smiles menacingly. With those words, King Psuno sat back down on his throne. King Psuno gives the signal to his guards to escort General Plaetios out of the throne room.
