Since it was her fifth day and she would leave here tomorrow, Kanita got up with a smiling face. She had a shower and dressed up before she went down.
In the kitchen Aunt Dari was making breakfast.
“Smells good.”
Aunt Dari turned her eyes to the speaker and saw it was Kanita.
“Good morning,” Kanita said and walked into the kitchen.
“Good morning,” Aunt Dari said and returned her eyes to her recipe.
“What are you cooking?”
“Porridge,” said Aunt Dari.
“Beef?”
“Chicken.”
“Oh, sounds good.”
Even though Aunt Dari remained her stone face. As she heard a chair was pulling, she rotated her face and asked, “What are you doing?”
“I will eat breakfast here,” Kanita told.
“You are a guest. It’s not good to have a meal here.”
“I don’t mind.” Kanita sat on the chair.
Knowing that the young lady would not listen to her and since it was not wrong to the house’s rule, Aunt Dari decided to allow her to do it.
When the food was done, Aunt Dari put it into a bowl and took it to her guest.
It did not take long to finish the porridge though it was not cool.
“Uh, I love it,” Kanita said with a smile after she finished it.
Still Aunt Dari didn’t show expression on her face; she took the bowl to the sink and prepared to clean it with other cooking materials.
“I won’t bother you,” Kanita said. “I’m going back to my room.”
No reply from the elderly woman. Hence Kanita walked off after she told her. When she was passing the room next to the kitchen, she heard a sound coming out of the room. Automatically, she turned her eyes towards it and saw the sheet of the door was moving slowly to open.
“What is this room?” She murmured. Then she moved her feet to the door and pushed it gently till it opened, largely showing the whole view of the room to her eyes.
“What are all of them?”
Inside, there were many paintings, some were big and some were small. It was very interesting that Kanita could not stop herself and allowed her mind to be pulled to go into that room as well as her body.
“The owner of this house should be a crow lover,” she spoke as she walked around and saw that most of the paintings were about the crow.
At a corner, there was a big and tall painting but it was covered by red cloth. Kanita approached it and looked at it from bottom to the top. Since she was curious what it was about, she thought of removing the covering cloth, but when she was expanding to touch the sheet, a voice called, “What are you doing here?”45Please respect copyright.PENANAHOTPy9TUs1
