I also wrote this on my phone and in forty minutes, plus it’s different to what I normally write. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy! :D

Polaris.
A matrix of letters joined together to form a word that left an empty mind devoid of all meaning.
I can only find myself to wipe the sweat that was leaking into my brow away, my hand sodden with the seldom liquid.
At least, in a moment of shell-shocking beauty like this. The skies lit with the beautiful pastel and pearlescent ambers, golds and azures, Polarian skies a contrast to the city in which I stood.
She fell asleep just a mere moment ago, cradled by my almost-deformed arms of muscle and different proportions. Her silky, ashy, chocolate hair found itself in disarray; singular strands darted out in a million directions, her hair bun almost completely undone. Yet her beauty was still unparalleled.
I found myself gently rocking back and forth in my position, watching her limp body sway with me. Unfamiliar snores escaped her open gob, yet I had no desire to stop her. If anything, I was against it.
The tiredness was evident, I expected my eyes to be bloodshot. But I would have to deny my desire for sleep yet another night, let my sleeping beauty rest. I knew my reality.
I shuffled cautiously as the sun finally dipped below the looming trees. My moves were perhaps the most gentle they’d ever been, directing her to our bed. I lowered her slowly as I could, yet an urgency strayed to the forefront of my mind. By the time I had lowered her all the way down, I just had to hope I didn’t disrupt her sleep.
Because I had to go. I quietly yet at a decent pace swooped down the stairs and landed myself in the kitchen, assuring myself that she had enough supplies for breakfast the next morning. I rushed to one drawer in particular, an antique oak under the countertop. I lightly pulled, hoping it wouldn’t break. I then grabbed a piece of worn paper and pen; I swore by my return, yet I knew I could not do that indefinitely.
I then grabbed the keys from a box on the bookshelf, heading for the door. I jammed the key in the door, got it open and locked the door behind me.
What followed was something completely unexpected. The sight did not deter me, nor did the smell of decaying flesh in the city of death, yet the fact that a laser was pointed to my head from my left did.
But they aren’t fast enough to kill a Lockheed.
