Brown eyes, tan skin and short brown hair, many would call that plain. But to me she was the most beautiful woman I have ever met. Smiling together, we were content underneath the stars. The masquerade's noise was far away from us as we stayed near the roses.
She hugged me tighter and tilted her head up. I smirked and tilted my head downward to kiss my beloved as I held her tight. Soft lips together, I felt like I could never get tired of that. We pulled apart with a laugh.
We lean close as we stared at the the Grand Canal. Venice was always an interesting site to a foreigner such as myself. No wheels insight. Only boats, water and narrow pathways. It was much different from the Californian beach town I had grown up in.
