It's 6am . I slid out of bed, pulling up the blankets to cover the others again. Pulling on some of my clothes I tiptoed into the hall where I nearly ran into Jason who was coming out of the boys room. “ Good morning,” he says, nodding his head. Together we head downstairs to the cars. We decided to take his car. We drive around town to see if we can find an empty bus. Finally after driving for half an hour we find a large charter bus. Jason pulls open the doors and we investigate the bus. The bus has a small bathroom in the back and mini TVs over half of the seats. I find that the keys were still in the ignition but the bus had been turned off. Hopping into the driver's seat I start the engine and look at the controls while Jason finds a good spot to park his car that was out of the way. After he climbs aboard and is seated we head back to the hotel. On our way we stop by the gas station and I fill up the bus with diesel while Jason walks to the nearby supermarket to get some bread, Peanut butter, and jelly. When he returns we finish the drive back. The others are waiting for us in the lobby and once we get everything onto the bus we are on our way. I drive slowly as I get used to driving the bus. After a couple hours the exhaustion sets in. Lately I have been having the same nightmare where my mom and Emily's parents keep asking me why I didn't save them making sleeping hard. Matt notices that I am tired. “ meg. Let me take over”. He says coming up to the front. I shake my head afraid that if i sleep ill have that dream again. Kane notices too. He puts a hand on my shoulder. “ pull over” he says gently but firmly. I shake my head again but he grabs the wheel and directs the bus to the side of the road. I glare at him but he stands firm. “ you need sleep” he says pulling me to my feet. I try to protest but he isn't having it. He gives me a look that means he dosen't want to hear any excuses. I sigh heading to the back of the bus as Matt takes my place. As i head to the back of the bus I'm so tired I didn't see Ashley stick her leg into the aisle. I trip over it barely able to catch myself on the seat. Jason sees this and helps me up. He is glaring at Ashley who acts like she didn't do anything. He helps me sit down in one of the seats before going to Ashley.” what the hell Ash '' he says clearly unhappy with her. “ what. It's her fault for not looking” she says, crossing her arms. Jason just shakes his head before heading to the front with Kane and Matt. i lay down on the seat scared to close my eyes but after awhile sleep took over. Unfortunately I am stuck in another nightmare. Darkness surrounds me as I look around. There in front of me was mom. She was writhing on the ground. Her skin became blacker than night, her perfectly manicured nails became lethal claws. Boils covered her skin and her beautiful eyes became black and thin slits. She called out to me begging me to save her over and over and over her once smooth voice became hoarse . it cracked every time she spoke. And I wanted to help but I couldn't move, my feet were stuck in a disgusting black goo that was slowly moving up my legs, up my chest and covering my head pulling me down into the darkness. All I could hear was mom calling Megan over and over as the dream faded. “ Megan, Megan,” Jason said, shaking me lightly. I sit up rubbing my eyes. “ What happened?” he asked, looking concerned. Kane Matt and Emily were all standing behind him concern clearly written on their faces. I sigh and fill them in on my dreams. Jason. sits next to me listening carefully. Emily slides into the seat next to me pulling me into a hug. “ It's not your fault Meg,” she says. “ you have done everything you can and none of this is your fault in any way. I nod feeling a little bit better. Jason pats me on the back. “ From what I have heard, you have given a lot to protect your friends and family as best as you can and that's what counts. I smile a little bit and nod again. Everyone decides to talk awhile to help me feel better. When we are back on the road. Kane and Jason stay with me and we keep talking about of past lives and try to get to know one another better. For awhile we laugh at Jason’s jokes and Kane even comes up with a few of his own which is so much fun. While we talk Ashley gives me an mean stare but it doesn’t bother me. I don’t need her to like me. We talk and talk until we reach our hotel for the night. We wake up the kids who had fallen asleep. After unloading some of our things we head to the second floor where we get tow suite for the night. Then we all go over to the boys room for game night. Ashley cheats the whole time but I can’t even get mad because I’m having so much fun. We decide to go to sleep at 11 pm but just before the kids Emily Ashley and I. Got to bed. Kane stops me. “If you have another nightmare just text me, ok” he says placing a hand on my shoulder. I nod smiling before I head to the room. This night I don’t have any nightmares. Instead I have dreams of my wonderful friends.
