Coming back to the present day, we find Akio, walking around his neighbourhood, waiting for anyone to recognize him for his great feat of destroying a villain - However, no one does, it appears that life moves too fast, just defeating one villain, even though it was one of the top 10, only brought him a small spotlight, and with a never-ending sea of new heroes constantly washing up on the shores of humanity, he was yet another forgotten miracle that day.

Akio walks into a convenience store, picking up some store-brand mochi as he heads to the counter, paying his dues and then making some small talk "You heard that one of the top 10 villains was destroyed? Pretty amazing, right?" Akio mentions, the store-keeper smiling softly "Quite right, it's amazing, that boy must be immensely strong to take on someone of that calibre. I do wonder what powers he was gifted, if he could be the next pillar of justice for this world, one that can shine throughout the world as an undefeated hero, forcing villains back into the shadows." The shop-keeper replies, maintaining the patient tone in his voice with his subtle smile "Come on, not every hero needs a power. I'm sure that kid's just really smart." Akio said, almost defensively as the shop-keep chuckles softly "Perhaps you're right, who knows."

Akio grabs his mochi as he shoves one into his mouth, waving as he says a goodbye with food almost spilling from his lips, the shop-keeper shuts his eyes, giving him a warm wave as a send-off "Come back soon, Akio!" the shop-keeper says, Akio responding, still chewing the food in his chops "Yeah yeah, you know I come back every few days. Don't miss me too much!" Akio responds, making his way down the street as he looks up "Why are people so interested in if I have a power, but not even interested in knowing who I am. Are they just looking to me for pillar like the old man behind the counter said? That's dumb. Most people in this world can protect themselves, they're all so gifted. But I guess raw strength doesn't mean anything to me." Akio chuckles softly, throwing another mochi ball into his mouth as he continues his walk down the street.
