TW: There is a scene with SA
Thursday (10/30/XX) 3:30PM
Everyone in class today was chatting about their plans for Halloween. Although Halloween isn't celebrated the same way in other countries, the youth tend to go to Shibuya for street parties.
"Hey, hey, Aki, we should go to Shibuya this year for Halloween! I bet it'll be fun, everyone's talking about it."
I shrugged. "I don't know, Sen, it doesn't seem like my thing."
Sen sneered putting his arm around my shoulder. “You could invite Nikolas.”
I flinched and bit my cheek.
Ryunosuke became intrigued and replied, “Yes, let’s invite him.”
I slouched in my seat with a loud sigh. “Fine, I’ll invite him.”
Sen cheered and jumped up and down. “SHIBUYA HERE I COME!”
Friday (10/31/XX) 6:00PM
Are you by the station?
Yes
Ok I'll be there
I turned the corner and saw a tall black hooded figure standing by the station entrance. I waved at him to grab his attention.
He took off the hood of his black robe lined with golden hemming. His top was a white long-sleeved top with ruffles adorning the front and end of his sleeves which was accompanied by a midnight blue vest. The crossing laces on the front of his top revealed parts of his chest. His long, robust legs were in tight black dress pants and he wore black dress shoes. The earrings he wore complimented his eyes: a sapphire droplet dangling by a long golden chain with a cuff that had another chain draped from a second piercing and two tiny golden hoops on the right ear. This luxurious appearance made him appear even more handsome. People were staring at him. I could barely look at Nikolas.
"I like your costume."
He showed a rare smile. "Thanks. Well, these are the clothes I wear back at home."
Damn, those are his usual clothes?
"Kitsune spirit?" He inched closer to me and touched the kitsune mask on my head.
"My family helps out at the shrine so these clothes are hand-me-downs."
He gently placed the mask on my face. "Be careful not to show yourself. We can easily tell the difference between humans and ghouls." He brushed my hair in place while warning me.
I was glad my mask covered my blushing face. I fidgeted with my sleeve and asked, "Where's Kazu?"
"Sleeping. I didn't want to wake him up."
I agreed and we traveled together to Shibuya. We eventually met up with Ryunosuke who was dressed up as a wizard and Sen as a zombie. Nikolas saw Ryunosuke and narrowed his eyes. Ryunosuke pushed up his glasses and simply smiled at him.
"Let's go walk around! There are so many cool costumes here." Sen pulled my arm and pointed at the bustling crowd. I turned to Nikolas who was following right behind us.
Everyone on the streets wore elaborate costumes. Some were gorey beasts and dark monsters while others were cute anime characters. It was difficult to tell who was dressing up and who were actual ghouls.
Sen was eagerly taking pictures with random people and Ryunosuke acted as his photographer. Nikolas and I walked side by side, taking in everything around us. Nikolas was able to tell who was and who wasn't a ghoul and would point it out to me. He explained that Halloween is one of the only times ghouls can show themselves to humans without getting exposed.
I passed by a magical girl group cosplay and enthusiastically pointed at them. "Nikolas look! That character is from an old show I used to watch!" I turned to see no one by my side. I stopped in my step and searched for him, but he was nowhere in sight.
He's so tall, how could I miss him?
Something suddenly grabbed my arm. I turned and saw a woman dressed in a red bodycon dress. She smiled at me with her deep red orbs, telling me sweet nothings. "My, my, Mr. Fox, you want to play with me?"
I tried to pull away and quickly shook my head. "I'm sorry, Miss. Please let go."
"What's wrong?" Her large bosoms rubbed against my arm and I flinched. She looked into my eyes and grinned widely to reveal her fangs. She opened her demon wings and forcefully grabbed my face. I attempted to push her off of me, but it was useless. I wanted to scream for help, but I kept choking on my breath. The woman saw my futile efforts and was pulling me to the side.
We ended up in an alleyway and I was pinned onto the cement wall. Her hands started traveling down to my pants, her fingers trying to untie the knot of my hakama.
I mustered up the courage to grab her hands and murmured. "Get off of me!"
She cackled and licked my face. Her saliva made my skin on my face numb. I shuddered in fear. She kept laughing as she pulled my white garment off my shoulder. I managed to pull her hands away from my pants, but she was trying to lick me again. Her forked tongue flicked near my mouth. I turned my head and attempted to kick her away. I wanted to scream, but no words came out. I mentally pleaded for this woman to stop.
"Stop struggling, you can't win." Her voice became demonic. "You have nothing to worry about. I don't bite!"
"But I do."
Two strong hands pulled on my garment. Arms wrapped around my waist as I was covered by his cape. He held me tight in his grasp. Nikolas looked at the woman with a livid expression, his white fangs shining as a warning.
The woman huffed bitterly and walked away with her heels clicking loudly.
He looked down at me and softened his gaze. He loosened his grasp, holding my face with one hand. Worry was drawn all over his face. "Did she hurt you?"
"No, she didn't." I was too shaken up to feel nervous by his touch. His hand was colder than usual. "I'm fine, Nikolas." He nodded as I fixed my costume. "Let's head back."
We reunited with Ryunosuke and Sen at a cafe where we got some drinks and snacks. We walked around the streets a little more before heading home for the night. I told Nikolas that I could go home by myself, but he insisted on coming with me.
I stepped on the pavement leading to my house. "Thank you for walking home with me."
He nodded while looking down as I started walking to my door.
"Akio."
His hoarse voice made me turn around and I was pulled into his arms. He held me tightly with one hand holding my head into his chest and the other on my back.
I froze in shock. I tried to move, but he pulled me in closer.
"I'm sorry, Akio." His voice was low. "You must've been scared."136Please respect copyright.PENANAVgLTFGaFPW

I hugged him back, gripping the fabric of his vest. I nodded. All of my anxiety washed away at that moment. I gazed up at him, asking, "How did you find me?"
"You had the ring on you." I took out my chain necklace to reveal the ring. I was grateful for wearing it.
Nikolas removed the mask from my face and caressed my cheek with the back of his hand. I averted my eyes as his hand held my face. He slowly leaned in as I squeezed my eyes shut. I felt a chill on my forehead. I opened one eye and saw him move away from my face.
He let go of me and looked at me with those dark eyes of his. "Good night, kitsune."
My head started to feel hazy, so I only managed to nod in response. He watched as I walked into the house and disappeared within a blink of an eye.136Please respect copyright.PENANA1ztVCEGPIK
