Outside, Thomas led them to the company parking lot and to a dark grey sedan. It wasn't the latest model of anything, but still a few notches up from what Maggie was used to driving. She smiled and touched the car's roof, then looked inside.
"A manual?" She asked and looked at Thomas, who nodded.
"Yeah. Imported from Europe, where that's the norm. Had it pretty cheap. Eats gas like a small child eats broccoli and sounds like a mother walking to a kitchen after getting the baby to sleep," he beamed, chuckling. "I trust you can drive a manual?"
"Oh, yes. Yes, I can. Actually mine's a manual right now, you just don't see them so much here," she nodded, and opened the door, sitting down. Thomas inserted the key to its slot, and the car woke up. Maggie looked around and smiled. Thomas sat down to the back seat and leaned back.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, three men in black suits walked to the car and drew guns. Before Maggie or Thomas could do anything, they were on them and forced themselves into the car; two on both sides of Thomas, with their guns on their laps; one at the other front seat, with his gun pointed at Maggie.
"Drive," barked the man next to her, and she obeyed. Maggie drove carefully out of the parking lot, then looked at the man questioningly. He just nodded toward the north, and Maggie turned the car into that direction. "Keep driving forward, no funny tricks, and you can take your pretty face home today without extra eye sockets," the man said, then turned toward Thomas on the backseat.
"Open the case," he said calmly. Thomas looked really nervous, and he lifted the suitcase to his lap, then looked at the man.
"I can't, mister," he claimed, pointing at the lock on the suitcase. "Look, it's a safety lock, I can't open it. Only the bank has the keys."
"Lies," the man said and shot Thomas in the head.
Maggie screamed, and the car swerved lightly.
"Drive, straight, bitch, unless you want to join your boss," he said.
She tried to obey, driving to the highway, while unsuccessfully attempting to calm her nerves. Suddenly the back door opened and Kira put her head inside the car.
"Excuse me, sir?" She asked the startled guy in the back seat. "Is this a life and death situation?"
"Kira!" Maggie yelled happily. The man on the front seat shot Kira straight in the head and she flew on the road and the car sped away from her. "Kira!!" Maggie cried in desperation.
"Keep driving," the man said calmly.
Suddenly the front door opened, and Kira looked inside with an angry expression. She flashed a sheepish grin at Maggie. "I guess that makes it a life and death situation," she said, grabbed the man's hand and yanked him out of the car. There was a gruesome thud as he hit the tarmac and stopped being human-shaped. The two other guys looked at each other and then back at Kira, who had started climbing to the back seat.
"Hello, gentlemen," she stated, grinning widely at them. "I'm Maggie's Guardian Ange--Demon. You have the privilege of making me mad, because you tried to hurt her."
Maggie slowed the car to a normal speed, glancing behind her, but quickly turning her gaze back to the road, where a naked demon girl's bottom didn't rule the view. Meanwhile, Kira looked at the two men, still grinning. The men reached for their guns, but never managed to even raise their arms.70Please respect copyright.PENANA0xBIhPrQ6o
