Kira looked at Maggie and grinned. Her skin faded from maroon to light brown, her eyes turned almost orange amber, her horns shrunk into nothingness, and her wings fell to the ground and disappeared.
"Aren't we married now?" Kira asked and giggled. Maggie sighed and then she, too, giggled.
"I think we are, Kira, I think we are," she quipped and walked back to the car. Which was now suspiciously clean and empty. There was no blood anywhere. Maggie sat down and started the car. Kira sitting next to her.
"Can I live with you now?", Kira asked.
"You already do," Maggie grinned in response.
"Oh. Well, I guess so," Kira said and chuckled. "Can we go home?"
"Yes, yes we can," Maggie said. "First, though, I think we need to hit the hospital, " she said, and both of them looked at their bleeding wrists.
"Oh. Right," Kira said and grinned. "I wonder if we need to buy a bigger bed," Kira mused quietly.
