“Hey,” I say. I’m pacing and I can’t stop.
“Are you ok? What's wrong?” Landon asks, grabbing my wrists. I wince from the bruise I still have. I can’t pace now that he has my wrist, but I can’t meet his eyes.
“I… I… I… I can Read, and I’m going to the School, and I’m going to leave and we’ll never see each other, so we have to stop… this.” I stutter. I try to free my hands, but he just grips stronger. He won’t meet my eyes, and the question I had been asking all day is answered, but I still have to ask.
“You did hear when I was sleeptalking, didn’t you? And you didn’t say anything?” I yell. He doesn’t respond and that gives me the only answer I need.
“Yes, I know.” Now it was his turn to not meet my eyes.
“Of course you do.” I pull on my wrist and this time he lets me go. I start to walk away, but he follows.
“Oh don’t act like your mad. You just broke up with me.” Landon mutters. I turn to him and he walks into me, not realizing I stopped.
“I’m breaking up with you because you would have made it worse if we were still dating.
“Alyx,” He tries.
“I’ll see you around,” I whisper.
“Bye Alyx. I’ll miss you.” Then he storms off to the village. I just hope he doesn’t do something stupid in his anger109Please respect copyright.PENANAUR5yloJW6L
