'Ello, all!
MortalKombat here with a story that's supposed to let your giggles out. Whether this would succeed or not with you readers finding it humorous, it's an attempt to make you laugh. Lightly.

The school bell rang through the hallways causing everyone to rush to their classes.
Janine, a stuck up brunette, head up in the clouds, walked into her English lesson to be greeted by the loud chatter. She scanned the room before finding her friends and rushing in their direction to start her daily female gossip. (Bleh, that seems soooo boring)
Janine's mouth never really stopped. It just kept running. She continued talking and talking until she landed upon the subject of her brother.
"Mark is soooo annoying!" Janine stuck her tongue out showing her disgust.
"Ugh! Damien judges everything I do!"
"Hello, class!" Mr Teere, the teacher who was always, too positive, walked into the English class while ushering everyone to be quiet.
"Today, I've been told to assign you... This!"
A blank screen appeared on the smartboard, slowly followed by a picture of a top hat.
"What is that?" A random student called out as they waved to the teacher.
Mr Teere didn't really care, because he believes, "calling out", is a way of sharing ideas and expressing one self's enthusiasm.
"You'll be assigned pen pals! (See what I did there? Yes? No?) It could be anyone from the school."
Janine smiled as she whispered to Karen.
"I could be assigned with Mawson!"
"And I could be assigned with Jasper!"
Both of the girls had dreamy looks on their faces as Mr Teere continued talking.
"But! You won't know who they are! All you'll get from them is a number ID. We'll also block any names that are given out."
The smug smiles on most of the students in class quickly got wiped off.
"Good luck! We'll be choosing your partners in our next lesson today."
They continued their lesson on grammar as they slowly reached recess.
As the bell rang students filed out of their classrooms ad went to the cafeteria.
Janine met up with her group of friends and started talking yet again.
"I can't wait!" Janine squealed.
"But you can be assigned to anyone. ANYONE!" Samantha warned as she struck fear into Janine's mind.
"Uh..." Janine took some time to think as she stayed quiet.
"Are you willing to take the risk?" Samantha edged closer than before until she was merely inches away from her face.
"I don't care, I'll most likely get Mawson. After all, I am the luckiest." Janine, being the arrogant girl she is, held her head up high and answered with confidence.
"Your fault. Don't say I didn't warn you." Samantha stood back as her eyebrows furrowed. She whipped her raven, black hair and walked off to another group.
"Sam wait!" Lucy took a step forward only to be stopped by Janine.
"Don't. We don't need her anyway." Her words slithered out of her mouth, clearly spiked with poison.
"B-But Janine!" Lucy took another large step, trying to get back to one of her closest friends. Samantha. Her childhood friend.
Before either of them said anything, the bell rang. The two girls exchanged eye contact.
"Lucy. I said no. We must leave now." Janine grabbed Lucy's hand and pulled her away. Away, back to their next class, as Samantha's figure disappeared after they turned around a corner.
Everyone received a small piece of paper with their name and a number ID, along with a small device, that had their number ID's printed on the side.
"You'll be using these devices, they're called, 'ChitChatters'. It's a program that will hopefully bring the students closer. You might already have a partner because other classes are currently doing the same activity. Now, let's begin!" Mr Teere pressed the big red button on the screen, which started the randomiser.
Janine received number 4938.

I got my number!
Nice.
Janine's device automatically connected with ID:6852.
(The chat will be in bold and italics. Janine will be just italics again.)
4938: Hi
Other user is typing..... Typing...........
6852: Uh, Hi?
4938: Nice to meet you!
Janine looked across the room to see Brad already typing away and smiling.
6852: Well, it's nice to meet you too!
4938: First off, are you a guy or a girl?
6852: Uhh.... I'm a guy, and you are?
4938: I'm a girl.
6852: Well, uh.... I can't say my name because it's against the rules. But I'll tell you it starts with M. ;)
It's got to be Mawson!
Janine looked across the room to see Mawson chattering away with his friends.
"Look what I said to her." Mawson handed his device to his friend, Brad.
"Ohhhh.... Already flirting, Mawson?" Brad nudged Mawson in the arm before talking again. "Say something else, dude!"
The smile on Janine's face curved upwards even more as she continued texting.
A couple weeks later, the two got really close.
Too close to be separated.
After class ended, Janine ran up to Lucy.
"Hey Lucy, I got Mawson!" Janine was literally jumping up and down.
"Lu-cky! I don't know who I got yet. Wait, how do you know?"
"It's obvious, look at the messages!"
Janine handed her device to Lucy and continued talking.
Janine skipped down the path to her house, and into the kitchen to find her cupcakes gone.
"Mark!"
"Yes?" Mark's head popped around the corner to be eating a cupcake.
"Ugh! I hate you! My pen pal's better than you!" Janine stormed off into her room and continued texting.
Later on, in the evening, the two siblings sat in the lounge room texting away.
4938: My brother is so annoying, he always screams at the TV!
Mark starts shouting at a random soccer player on the screen.
6852: My sister is annoying, she slurps really loud when she drinks.
Janine slurps her coke.
4938: Hey, maybe we can hang out on the weekend?"
6852: Yeah, sure.
6852: I'll give you my address and you give me yours at the same time.
4938: Ok.
6852: On three.
6852: 1....
6852: 2.......
6852: 3.........
6852: 27 Sormatal street
4938: 27 Sormatal street
The two look towards each other.
"Eww! I was flirting with you?" Mark shifted away.
"Argh! I hate you Mark, you're disgusting!" Janine ran out the door screaming.
Let me rephrase that.
A couple weeks later, the two got really close.
Too close to be separated. (unless they knew who they were talking to)
