I looked around my room. My former room, almost, I thought. I'm heading out to college starting tomorrow, and there's one last thing I have to do.804Please respect copyright.PENANAQcLae9k04S
Pack my suitcase.
Of course, there's going to be more than just one suitcase of my stuff coming with me, but this is the stuff I'll be using for maybe the first week or two until I unpack. You know, the real important stuff. I look around my room, trying to decide. A descicion like this cannot be taken lightly. I pack a couple pairs of jeans I've had for years, the really durable kind that could almost withstand the apocalypse. Or me trying to be active. That was obvious, I'd need jeans. I packed my Doctor Who and Sherlock T-shirts with the jeans, that would be an easy way to strike up conversation with potential friends, if we're both wearing fandom shirts. All in all, that's about 1/2 of my space. I look around further, and grab several half-finished notebooks and a copy of my book I published around spring break senior year. Needed to remind myself of what I'm capable of. What else what else...
My eyes focus on Shnuffe and Julia, number One and Two when I was younger and didn't live in a neighborhood with a lot of kids, and then when I was too shy to make a whole lot of new friends. I looked at the remaining space. Just enough. I put them both in and shut the suitcase with two snaps, carrying it out to the car I'd be using to drive out first thing in the morning.
College is going to be epic.
