"I AM the best!" I thought as I got ready to duel a lad in my fencing lessons. He was called Joshua Jones and he was quick, sure-footed and very strong, only a few months older than myself.
He was good, but I was better.
My name was Peter Pan.
"Peter!" my mother called.
"Yes mum?" I asked.
"They're waiting!" she answered, walking into the equipment room.
"Okay." I replied. I stood and took my blunted fencing sword from the rack. I still had a chest plate and helmet to protect in the case of the next-to-impossible injury.
I walked to the place where we dueled.
We started and it went well. He almost beat me, but I won. I was fast and smart about my maneuvers. My father, Lieutenant William Pan, was a veteran and was teaching me everything. My grandfather, Captain James A. Hook, was a fine sailor. I had good people to look up to, all besides my uncle, James Bartholomew Hook, The Second. He was a scoundrel.
I wasn't sure what come over my Uncle James and Grandmum Hook, but they wanted to be pirates, I guess. But why? I didn't understand why people wanted to be scallywags. I loved sailing but why would you steal from anyone? That I'd never get.
"The winner is, Peter Pan!" My trainer annouced to all my classmates.
I heard the cheers and the boos alike, as I wasn't friends with all of the people I took fencing lessons with.
Some, I absolutely hated and some hated me.
I'd still never understand some people.
When my mother and I left the gymnasium to walk home, it was starting to get dark.
I went out to our garden to play around a bit before dinner. I was messing with my toy soldiers.
All of a sudden, I saw a glowing, something?
My first thought was a fire, a candle or something.
Then a glow worm.
I looked closer to see what looked like a little woman?
"No, that's crazy!" I thought.
But then I remembered the words of my mother. "Remember, Peter, nothing is Impossible.".
She didn't say it wasn't crazy, just it wasn't impossible.
The little thing, which I supposed was a fairy, or maybe a faerie, glittered and jingled.
She drew out a Bell shape in glittering Dust and bumped it to make a jingling motion.
"Jingle bell?" I asked.
She shook her head. Everytime she moved, it sounded like a million tiny Tinkling Bells.
"Tinkerbell?" I asked.
She nodded and smiled. Then she took out a small bag that looked to be made of a leaf and put a microscopic hand inside.
She took out more of the glittering substance and sprinkled it onto me.
I immediately started to float.
"Woah!" I said.
She tugged at my sleeve.
"You want me to follow you?" I asked.
She nodded again and I followed her.
Into the sky, above the rooftops and to the stars. The Second Star To The Right glittered and she somehow managed to fly right through it.
We landed in a beautiful land. I looked around. "Woah!" I said again.
She tugged at my sleeve once again and led me deeper in.
She led me to a large tree with a tiny village surrounding it.
There was a sign that said "Pixie Hollow" on a post by the tree.
I looked at the tiny houses and everything.
Then fifty tiny fairies came out of the tree... ✨😎
