"I hate you!" The little boy seethed at his uncle, flustered by the man's words.
The boy's uncle paid no heed to his nephew's words. He's too young to understand what he says. He doesn't mean it.
The boy tramped away in an angry fit while his uncle smirked, amused by the little's one tantrum. Or so it seemed to others, but in reality it broke the man's heart to hear such words and the boy could see it in his eyes.
Now the man who was once that boy thinks back in regret; if only he hadn't said what he did! If only he had known what would happen!
For that uncle, several days after the boy spoke his angry words, died. Gone forever, never to playfully tease the boy again.
The man wishes, with tears in his eyes, that he could take back what he said. He never meant to hurt his uncle! He never meant what he said! He didn't hate his uncle! Did his uncle die thinking his nephew hated him?
There are no answers to be found and the man wishes he could change what had happened.
But it is too late.

Note: So this little blurb is based off of a story my father told me. When he was a boy, one of his uncles would constantly tease him which (at the time) made my father angry. Then one day he told this uncle that he hated him and that was the last day he saw that uncle who passed away several days later. My father has expressed a great deal of regret at his choice of words and has only told me this story once and didn't give much detail. However, he told me this story so I would learn something from it.
