I’ve always compared frogs to humans.

Their natural instinct to jump,

From place to place,

Is the epitome of human assumption.

You see, a jump can be beautiful,

Graceful, or intelligent.

They can also be dangerous.

Jumps skip any logical reasoning.

They challenge and confuse us,

While pushing us to be who we are.

Personally I jump for many reasons.

I jump to conclusion,

For dissillusion,

And for resolution.

I jump to love.

Sometimes I jump to hate.

Jumps test our resolve in profound ways,

And ask of us “what does it mean to be?”

To be human,

To be true,

To be wrong.

And they test our ability to jump again.

Should we choose to jump into shimmers,

Jump into twists

Jump into stars

We shall fly.

These fleeting jumps,

Their as close as I have been to the sky,
