Elliot was outraged beyond belief; it was almost a miracle that he could make it home alive. He drove like a madman on the road and felt like killing someone. Detective Rose was going to inform Yale University of the case, and all the Professors and students he made miserable were going to use the opportunity to destroy him.
He couldn't believe that he didn't think of his wife's parents. Elliot believed that he was going to get away from killing his wife but didn't think of the parents since they were insignificant to him. During his time working as a lawyer, parents of spouses usually held information about a couple's secrets. Elliot didn't want to accept the fact that he made a mistake.
When getting inside his home, Elliot went to the kitchen, got a knife, and walked toward the sofa. He got one of the pillows and stabbed it repeatedly until the cotton flowed mid-air. Anger still overwhelmed him, and the Professor then he got the knife and stabbed the sofa while imagining he was killing Amanda and then Detective Rose. The image of their blood spurting onto him brought him excitement. The feeling of having control and overpowering them brought him great joy.
Eventually, Elliot calmed down as he looked at the aftermath of his rage. He became silent, but then he slowly began to laugh. His laughs became louder and stronger, so much so that tears formed in his eyes. The Professor slowly calmed himself and took deep breaths; the knife was dropped to the floor. "That damn bitch thinks she can get the better of me but she is sadly mistaken. I have to delete everything from the system but I have to get some help." Elliot immediately went to his study and got his laptop. He knew he couldn't delete everything by himself, but he knew some people who were good hackers and good at deleting things. That was why he used the deep web and was a frequent customer.
The Professor was usually ready for anything that came his way but didn't expect a Detective, a woman, to pick up a fight. Elliot wasn't afraid to admit that he was a misogynist; he refused to be overpowered by a woman.
As he turned on his laptop and was about to sign in, he was curious about what Alexandria was up to. He didn't want to news to reach her yet. Elliot turned on the system where cameras were keeping Alexandria's every move. It was already late afternoon, and there was the possibility of her being out with her friends. When the system was turned on, he saw Alexandria wasn't home yet. It suited him fine since there were many things he had to do. Elliot went to Yale's administrative site to hack into the Professor's emails and then delete some of the messages he sent to blackmail.
However, when trying to log in, he was surprised to see that the passwords had changed. It was odd, the passwords couldn't be changed unless there was special permission by the university's president. Curious, Elliot decided to go to his Yale email to see if there were any changes. When inputting his username and password, he was surprised he couldn't log in. His eyes widened, and Elliot realized he was locked from his emails. "This is impossible! I can't be locked out without good reason.
Suddenly, Alexandria was heard from his laptop; she arrived back home. Elliot's focus changed as he watched her enter her apartment and sigh in relief. It was surprising that she wasn't seen with her friends. What was noticeable was how happy Alexandria looked. Elliot wasn't accustomed to seeing a different kind of happiness. "Ah! I never thought that I would be working with Richard! I even had a coffee and lunch with him!"
Richard.
If he remembered correctly, Richard was supposedly substituting for Alexandria in the class she was in. Was she getting excited about a Professor? Elliot slowly became angry. "Is she happy with another man??"
Suddenly, he and Alexandria heard a knock on her door. The young woman was watched looking through the peephole and groaned in annoyance. She opened the door, and Quinn was on the other side. Elliot raised an eyebrow, surprised to see Quinn, he remembered that she was in one of his classes, but she quit due to stress.
"Hey Quinn, I'm surprised that you came here knocking. What's up?"
Quinn didn't wait to be invited in. She held onto her laptop and looked as if she hit the jackpot. "Hey Alex, didn't you see the news!?"
"What news?"
"Remember I showed you that a Professor lost his wife due to an accident. Well, I guess our guess was right! Professor Landon was that Professor, but that's not all, he is suspected of actual foul play!"
Elliot felt his blood turn cold when he heard Quinn speak about him. It was unbelievable that the University spread the news of him being suspected of killing Amanda.
Alexandria looked surprised and was shown the laptop; her eyes widened as she read that Elliot was suspected of being a suspect for his own wife's death. "Oh my god! I can't believe this!"
"Yeah, tell me about it! I was shocked as hell too! Creepy to think that we had a killer as Professor!"
The young woman wrapped her arms around herself. "Well, we don't know if he's guilty but either way, I always felt something off about him."
Elliot listened as the young women spoke; he stood up from his seat as he heard everything! He couldn't believe that Alexandria would think of him in a negative light. Everything was going to shambles. However, as the Professor contemplated his next course of action, he didn't know he was being watched.
