The eternal darkness creeps ever closer. You feel the weight of your eyelids tugging down on you, trying to force you into that hellish slumber. You stand in the doorway of your bedroom and stare at your bed. That beautiful torture device that somebody concocted just for you. It matters not where you fall to rest. The same terrible dream always happens. You are creeping ever so slowly to your bed, not wanting to lay down. You reach the edge of your bed and kick off your slippers, sitting on the edge. The mattress (feels like) a bed of nails more like. The blanket which gives so many other people comfort only brings your misery. Finally, you can’t hold your eyes open any longer, so you lay down, cover up, and close them. The eternal darkness encroaches upon you.
The darkness envelops your mind, and your thoughts begin to scatter. A light appears next to you, but your vision is blurred. It seems to flicker, a candle perhaps? Your vision slowly clears up until you can see the black candle sitting in a candle holder with a loop for your finger. You grab the candle and stand up. The old splintered wood of the floor creaks under your weight. Your candle only gives off enough light to barely illuminate the room, but you can see something covering the walls and lightly scattered across the floor around you. This something is moving, and you can hear horrible sounds coming from it. The echoes of scuttling creatures and clicking fill your ears. It becomes overpowering, and you fall to your knees.
The moment you land, the clicking approaches you, and the scuttle gets louder. Suddenly a sharp pain radiates through your arm, then from your neck and lastly from your stomach. It feels as intense as a gunshot wound. You feel this horrible stabbing pain as these things naw on your body. Soon more strained pains arise and eventually cover your entire body. You look down to see what they are, and all you see are shiny black creatures biting you repeatedly. The pain is unbearable, and you nearly pass out from the pain. You begin to bleed everywhere, and your body starts to deteriorate slowly before your eyes. You finally pass out from the exhausting pain.
You wake up with blurred vision and a candle next to you once again. You can see the walls dancing before you as these tiny little bastards prepare to make you into another feast. You look behind you to see a wall with no doors or windows but covered in those small beasts. You look the opposite way and see a hall with more of these things covering the walls, but there is clearly a path for you to take. The familiar sound of scuttles and clicking slowly begin coming closer. You know what that means! Gotta go, you bolt down the hallway as the monsters chase you. You go down several different halls till you find a door. You stop running for a moment to check the opening. Hoping not to find any more ants you paw at the door. When you realize it's clean, you turn the knob and open it.
You see an empty room with a window in it. Before you close the door, the bullet ants charge in and cover the walls. You begin to panic as you know you need to escape using that window. Luckily the window is open. You place the candle on the ground near your feet and take a step back to prepare for your dive. You plant your feet and sprint across the small room and dive head first out the window closing your eyes in the process.
You land on the soft cushioned back seat of a car that's traveling at a high speed. You are startled by this sudden change. You sit up in the backseat and look to the driver, but you are shocked to see there is nobody driving. You peek at the speedometer to see it's going well over 100 mph. You climb over the front seats and sit down in the driver’s seat. This speed is terrifying, and you have no control over where it goes. You grab the steering wheel and jerk to the left and the right. Nothing happens, the wheel stays straight. The brake pedal does nothing as well. The worst part of all this is that you are locked into the car, and the doors won't unlock.
Oh hell, now you see headlights. It's coming right for you, and you can't do anything to stop it. BOOM! You smash headfirst into a city bus. You fall in and out of consciousness for several minutes and see nobody move from the bus at all. Finally, you slip from this reality and everything goes black. You wake up yet again, but you haven't opened your eyes yet. You hear something utterly dreadful, the sound of machines beeping and humming around you. You feel a slight pain in your arm. Your eyes dart around under your eyelids because you know where you are, and you don't want to see it, or you may freak out. You refuse to open them to see your surroundings. You hear footsteps and chatter coming from the left of you. No doubt that would be the hallway.
You finally reveal the room to yourself, and you open your eyes for the first time since waking up here. It's all white aside from the machines hooked up to you. A nurse is pacing back and forth as you try your damnedest to remain calm but it's difficult as you hate hospitals. The doctor walks in, and you lose your shit. You rip the IV out of your arm and the hose from your throat and thrash about. The nurse tries to restrain you and the doctor pulls out a rather large needle and stabs you in the leg with it. You feel the world slowly fade from your vision as your eyelids slip down.
You wake up once again but still in the hospital. You try to move but find yourself strapped to the bed this time. The doctor walks into the room again, and you begin your freak out again. This time, you recognize the doctor standing before you. It's Dr. Angel, this sick son of a bitch has been tormenting you for...you lost count how long, months, years maybe. At this point you don't know or care but you know something is about to happen.
“How was it, this time, Joan.” Dr. Angel asks.
“It's been hell.” You shout at him. “Fuck you Dr. Angel,” he smiles and turns off the light. Your world fades from you one more time.
