You can see your own panic mirrored in Drake’s eyes the moment you both hear Liam’s voice. The pleasure and warmth that had been spread across your body only moments before has now been replaced by a cold dread. In one swift motion, you quickly lift yourself from atop him and scoot as far away as possible while righting your clothes. From the corner of your eye you can see Drake stiffen slightly though he gives nothing else away. You somehow find a way to keep your cool, and easily reply. “I lost a fight with the curling iron this morning. I was rushing and not paying attention.” You laugh lightly and shrug.
